Cable was a hard figure to find. I bought him for $20 a few months ago, not a bad price at the time considering he was around $40.

I had Duane Swierczynski sign he, he did a great run of Cable comics recently. Then at Comic-Con, I had Cable creator Rob Liefeld sign it.

I picked up a Cable in the hopes that it was the one that eBays for $40, but alas, it was regular Cable. Fortunately, it's a really nice figure, so I have no complaints about owning one.

Also, last night I found Darkhawk. Darkhawk is a very cool figure.

Yes, Darkhawk is FINALLY OUT :KREMZEEK: ! I've been waiting years for them to make a Darkhawk, and overall he is a very good figure. The wings are a little iffy and you can't really pull off too many poses with them, but they are removable so it's no big loss. Darkhawk was really only ever seen with his wings spread during the classic series when he was gliding or flying, so that's ok with me. Still though, there's not much else they could have done with a 3 and 3/4 figure without sacraficing posebility unless they went with thin plastic or cloth wings similar to how 5 and 6 inch Banshees were done.

Picked up Iceman today and saw the rest of his wave(Magneto, Absorbing Man, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark Iron Man and underwear Namor).
Need more villains. Wish they would make Annihilus, Kang, High Evolutionary, Doc Ock, Carnage and throw in a Sauron. Also wish they would make some figures from the Age of Apocalypse.

I hope you've found and got a Darkhawk, as the only time I've ever seen one was the one I bought.

I found Ultron, and had thought he'd end up being pretty rare. Then, a run to TRU brought me face to face with like 25 Ultrons.

@Dagon-I've only seen the single pack Ultron once.

I've noticed walmart is starting to really stock the newer waves. I recently (today) saw the Guardians 4-pack, Drax looks awesome. I have never seen the metal Absorbing Man, in the wild, though (I like the comic 2-pack version best as he in the middle of his powers taking effect).

Saw the Ultimate Gift set at Walmart today. It's pretty lackluster though with rehashes of figures they've released in several incarnations already. it is packaged the same way the Transformers Ultimate Gift set though.

I recently saw the Shadowlands Daredevil and Storm, along with some different, younger looking Thor. Already have a Thor, although the new one has a nice armor set going on, and the DD and Storm didn't interest me. Oh, and all the Iron Fists' I saw had their legs bent terribly upwards at the knee, as he is packaged like he's giving a flying kick. Well, knee surgery in the future, from the way he's posed.

I think I'm the only one who likes the Shadowland DD. The reviews I've read on him are real dogging. But I like the idea of an evil DD and his color scheme is dope. The new Electro with the clear yellow forearms looks good too.

Can't wait for Kang though, that's pure excitement. Now I need to hold out for a High Evolutionary.

I'd also like to point out that the Rhino from the Spider-Man line is a great addition to the Universe stuff.

I'm a pretty big fan of this line (along with comics as well). I've been waiting for wave 17 and 18, but haven't heard much about them. They were supposed to be out Feb/March but I guess they got pushed back. I've heard till July which is pretty horrible.

I am looking forward to the FF Spidey, Scarlet Witch, Beast, She-hulk and Nova.

Anyone heard anything about this line and future waves? Maybe a official release date? I hope it is sooner rather than later.

I bought Apocalypse last week. I also saw a Cable and a metal Absorbing Man, but passed on them. Maybe I should pick them up. I always did like Cable.

I've always liked the idea of absorbing man, but I've never liked any of the figures based on him. Except the David Banner figure from the 2003 movie.

The all metalized Absorbing Man looks real nice. I like the figures that show them using their powers,

Do we have any idea if the recent comic pack figures will ever be single carded? I kinda want Sinister and Thanos, but am not too big on the comic pack price.

Thanos has a single pack figure, I don't know if Mr Sinister will get one, but he should. Both the Thanos\Warlock and Sinister\Gambit comic packs look nice though., you should snatch them up if you see them.

Sinister is getting yet another pack in release. He'll be in the x-factor 6 pack, which has cyclops, jean, iceman, apocalypse, angel and mr.sinister.

Mr.Sinister deserves a single release for sure.

I'm also hoping nightcrawler will get one as well. He was two-pack or 6 pack only.

Ok, so I was at a Walmart last night and they had both the Sinister/Gambit and Thanos/Adam Warlock comic packs. I said I wanted the two bigger guys but wasn't a fan of the comic pack thing (not entirely sure why, maybe the price?) and so I stood there in the isle and thought about it for a few minutes. I ended up buying them both, and just wanted to mention a few things briefly.

For starters I ended up getting home late and didn't get much of a chance to fiddle with the figures, but here's my first impressions. Gambit is a real bummer, and doesn't have wrist swivels or a thumb on his left hand, so holding his staff is nigh impossible. He's not very possable at all in truth. Mr. Sinister looks terrific, and he's very poseable, but his cape doesn't quite sit right and is prone to falling off. PErhaps I didn't devote enough time to try and attach it, as I said I was only briefly able to mess with them.
Adam Warlock is a really nice figure, with all the articulation and he's really eye-catching. The Infinity Gauntlet is just an over-the forearm accessory, like it's not an actual gauntlet for him and it seems like it'll pop off whenever given the chance. But, he's really nice to look at.
Thanos is pretty cool, but looking at him next to Apocalypse shows how nice Thanos really is. They share some body parts, but the forearms and lower legs are all new on Thanos, and it's enough to really make him look like an entirely new figure. Maybe also the missing Apocalypse shoulder pads, I don't know. Thanos' gold is really gold as well, makes it really pop visually, and that's good since his blue is just blue.

I got each pack for $14 at Walmart, whereas at Target I see them for $18-19, and I'm not willing to spend that for these figures. I'm not happy how the individual carded figures are creeping up towards the $9.99 mark either.

Thanks for the review Dagon I will get these sets if I see them. I've been looking at pics of the Gambit figure and he looks real nice, a lot better than the Wolverine Origins figure, or is it the same toy with a new deco? :-?

A cool pic I came across while looking for pics of Gambit:

Don't know if it's the same one Discharge, I never had it and I can't honestly remember having seen one in stores. Regardless it's a very nice looking figure, but in terms of posing or really doing anything it leaves much to be desired. All things considered though, I don't think you'd be disappointed with these packs.

I think the gambit is the same toy, but the head is certainly different.

Indeed he is. I have the Origins figure, but never opened it up.

It looks like the Comic 2-pack Deadpool figure that comes with Taskmaster is the
same as the Wolverine: Origins toy too.

Hey guys I just wanted to show some pics of these Iron Man toys I picked up at TJ Maxx today. I tend to buy off line marvel brands as extended MU toys, I had not seen these before and had to have them.

Shield Breaker Iron Man

I really like the all gold paint on him. The repulsor shields look alive. Almost passed on him, glad I didn't.

Inferno Armor Iron Man

051.JPG

All translucent and I love it. Gold paint wraps itself around this clear figure like a power harness.
Hell could cave in on him and he would still come out on top. :michaelbay:
There are holes on the back of the Inferno Armor that could support hoses or other various mods. I haven't had him long enough to really experiment with them.

A shot with War Machine, from the first series. (I did dig around for the
concept series War Machines but didn't find any :-(

Cool figures that you can use in your Marvel Universe lineup for added firepower. :D

I like those Iron Men. I was also at a TJ MAxx and I also buy off line figures that fit with regular line ones, and I probably buy most of the Iron Men that I see, and this TJ Maxx had a few figures in that packaging but none that looked appealing. Those two look neat though.

I did pick up a Captain America movie Hydra flamethrower trooper, the deluxe one with the two big forearm guns. His package labels him as "Dark Threat"......Not sure if I missed something that made him named thus, but what a terrific figure he is!
I'd been eyeing this guy in regular stores forevr, but couldn't pull the trigger for $15 for a $9 figure. I got him for $7 at TJ Maxx; absolutely worth it. The huge guns attach, so he still has regular forarms and hands for variance or display purposes.
