man! that's amazing... is the car body metal or plastic? in other words what's metal and what's plastic! and is it worth the money for such a small masterpiece?

:D
Mostly plastic as far as I can tell?
Ever so slight colour differences where the red paint is applied to the window and roof parts which also form part of the doors compared with the molded red plastic of the bonnet and rear engine cover, but not too obvious. :D
DSCN2040.JPG

DSCN2041.JPG

The silver gun and rocket launcher pops off the top of the roof quite nicely, not too loose, not too stiff, just right. The gun is slotted into the rocket launcher which is pegged into the roof, but what is nice is once they are removed the hole contains what seems to be a spring-loaded cover which pops up once they are out!
DSCN2034.JPG
We're gonna need guns.

DSCN2035.JPG
Lots of guns!

DSCN2036.JPG
Tough at the top!

DSCN2039.JPG
You wouldn't get a nine inch nail in my hole!

The rocket launcher is only one piece, so no seperate missile. Once attached to the robot modes shoulder the screwed hinge has a small amount of movement which would allow for some nice poses I guess!

If you can, could we see some pictures of him with the pile drivers and the "'Amazon' chromed thingbobs" please?! I don't think there have been many good up close ones.

I have him preordered and TFSource announced today that he should be shipping next week! I'm very excited and anxious to get him, but seeing your pics helps tide me over...a little!

Awesome pics! Thanks!

Mine is on pre-order, but I'll have to leave him in POL for a month or so... So these pics will have to tide me over for a while...

MP-12 looks rather nice in alt mode, I almost feel afraid to transform him!

Grimlock Shakur wrote:man! that's amazing... is the car body metal or plastic? in other words what's metal and what's plastic! and is it worth the money for such a small masterpiece?

For the price I got him for, oh so definately worth it! Less than £50 off Ebay delivered from China, you cant go wrong!
He is small but I only have him in alt/vehicle mode at the moment. I have taken a couple of pictures with him along side Universe Chevy Aveo Swerve which just arrive yesterday (OMG!!), also with Alternator Mirage standing nearby!
DSCN2064.JPG
Here I am!

When I say 'small', in vehicle alt mode he looks relatevly scaled okay against Chevy Swerve, so I guess once I transform him he'll be up against the larger Deluxe but better against Voyager/Alternator-Binaltech sizing? I see now that the current Materpiece sizing will work well alongside the Alernator/Binaltech lines perhaps?

I am really surprised and pleased he arrived today as I hadnt heard he was shipping yet?
I am off to bed now, but when I get home from work tomorrow I will pop a few more pictures up on this thread, transformed in his full glory! ;)

that's pretty awesome. honestly, he is expensive for the size of him...BUT so are a lot of toys made by other companies that aren't quite as nice looking as this. Looking forward to robot mode pics and size comparisons please!?

Can't wait for mine to arrive at the local hobby store!

A bit of panel lining, and that shoulder cannon would look even more awesome.

Arghh! Come on Kapow Toys! Get them shipped out!

I found a seller called 366offer whom had an auction which I sniped at the dying seconds for £49 with free delivery! Woop Woop!

To be honest I was became rather worried as the tracking number didnt work at all? I was really pleased to find via Ebay a Universe Chevy Aveo Swerve for a great price too which also came from China. The tracking number worked fine with that but not with Sideswipe, so I started to worry, thinking the worst that could happen? I even contacted a buyer who had used the seller and they confirmed everything was ok but took a while.
I jumped for joy only the day after Swerve arrived when another China Post package was presented to me, Sideswipe was in my hands!! :APPLAUSE:

I spotted maybe one or two other China based sellers offering the same item using similar photos and description (which can be a little worrying) which had MP-12 as an auction?
Just keep searching is all I can say really?
;)

Ahh, the lucky find. Well done.

Aveo Swerve is a great figure. Reminds me of Robocop.

Now that you say that, I do see the resemblance! ;)
He was a bargain also, came mint in sealed bag in a little clear plastic tray and cover with instructions.
China based Ebay seller timing12 has these on auction currently starting at £19.99 (I was the only bidder for mine at which got me it delivered for £18.69) tracked. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hasbro-Transformers-GM-Chevrolet-Lova-Swerve-2007-Limited-Ver-New-Rare-MISP-/190741954833?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D333005%26algo%3DRIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D12%26meid%3D2987233217968197168%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D4%26sd%3D190736061815%26
:D
Back on topic, sorry for the lack of pictures of MP-12 robot mode and size comparison for yesterday but I was knackered so went to bed!

I will get right on it this evening without fail! ;)

There are some MP-12s on ebay for around £65 BIN. That's cheaper than Kapow. I've just ordered mine although I'm saving it for my birthday in December.

Thank you for posting the instructions.

I'm very impressed with the figure. I'm considering ordering one. I want to see if Hasbro will give us one, but even if they do, it's going to go for at least $50.00 through TRU. I know this is $30.00 more, but...

I'll have it in hand, it's guaranteed to be in my collection, and Christmas is coming.

Tempted. ...I don't care about exclusive piledrivers, I doubt I'll ever put them on him.

That waist looks a little mistransformed. Looks like Sideswipe is trying to squeeze an inch on us!

Yep, I bought a duff version I think! The torso has been pinned to the waist the wrong way around so his body cant fold into position correctly?
#annoyning
Add to that his head is falling apart, badly glued together!
I have contacted the seller 366offer via Ebay but they say this is 'the worst problem theyve had, this month' so I need to send photos which they will then pass on to their warehouse for analysis?
I just hope they can send me another out in time!

The paint job on mine was really sloppy. Found a red paint chip in the left headlight, and the red paint on the sides were a mere mist coat. It's like my fricking MP-10 all over again.

I tell you, the guy in charge of QC must be perpetually drunk or watching soccer matches on his i-Pad during working hours.

@ robotmel: Can't you DIY it? Maybe get the pin out yourself and reassemble the torso? I've disassembled the elbow pins om my WFC Soundwave before, and it's pretty easy if you've got the right tools--a thin nail to push the pin out a little, and pliers to gently wiggle the rest of it out.
