[quote="RAcast"]Where's the ripping-my-hair-out emote...

Their alt modes look different, despite being the same type of car. Their chests look different. Their arms look different. Their legs look different. They have absolutely no physical qualities in common with each other.

MPs aren't based on the Classics toys, they're based on G1.

Ah yes. I keep forgetting sunstreaker's hood ends up on his legs and not his back, like the classics toy. Well, since they made a Sideswipe, you HAVE to have a Sunstreaker too. That pushes my hopes of MP-14 being Megatron/Galvatron way back :(

If MP-14 ends up being either a re-do of Megatron or Galvatron, I'll do exactly what I did for Soundwave; fangirl shriek, followed by    and excitement.

Exactly!

Not to mention roof chest, and MP-12's roof back don't even look remotely like it could be modified to look like a chest. The arms...

No, it just can't work. The 'twins" are just too different.

I'm hoping for an MP Sunstreaker too, but he just has to have his own mold.

Lol and sonicron is a piece of crap I won't lie I bought him because I got him for $25 and he's not worth $10. He feels like a dollar store figure worst 3rd party figure I've ever bought its the only bad 3rd party figure I've bought

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEW it was Soundwave! HA! Can't wait. I don't see why they can't put all of his main tapes in with him, he is a masterpiece after all. This gives me hope we'll one day soon see a MP Shockwave being that he's kind of the next main Decepticon (after Megs, Screamer, and Soundwave). Soundwave is one of my favorite characters so this is a must- may have to wait on Sideswipe so I can afford Soundwave.

for anyone who thinks or wants MP sideswipe to be retooled into sunstreaker..
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

masterpiece means accuracy. doing so wouldn't be accurate.

plus, their car modes were even a little different.

they better be two separate molds.

oh, and i'm SUPER stoked that i won't have to pay an arm and a leg to a 3rd party to get an MP soundwave.

Awesome prices but I'm certain that robotkingdom can get these to me for $100 shipped. I'm a bit surprised they are doing Red Alert so soon after Sideswipe but I'm not going to complain. If we get 1 cassette with Soundwave then that coupled with larger bit mode justifies the higher price. It's going to be a great Christmas. Please don't drop the ball TakaraTomy.

Can we now finally just accept that MP 13 is neither a Sideswipe repaint, nor Shockwave or a Seeker?

Also, why are people hoping for Sunstreaker to be a repaint of Sideswipe? What's next you want MP Galvatron to be a repaint of MP Megatron, or MP Jetfire be a repaint of Starscream?
Have at least just slightly higher hopes or dreams than lazy senseless repaints.

Also the prices are pretty good, can't wait for Soundwave. I agree RK will be able to get this cheaper and faster for me too.

Hmmm... Theoretically speaking we could get:

MP-12A Alert
MP-12B Black Lambor
MP-12C Clamp Down
MP-12D Deep Cover

I'm telling you, this works just too nicely for it not to pass!

Fixed. Even though there are probably a few that'll call Tigertrack 'Sunstreaker'...

Black Lambor is G2 Lambor, the B slot is perfect since most Black repaints are labelled as B.

Don't forget my namesake and his G2 version. Maybe even a Punch/Counterpunch? (obviously modifications will up the price). Wow, he could even top Starscream in MP repaint stakes.
Any other Lambo's in Transformerland? I'm sure there was a Lambo micromaster somewhere...

I would not want a Breakdown toy from this mould. His bit mode is completely different. Masterpiece is about G1 accuracy. Breakdown doesn't look anything like Sideswipe.

My point was this:

A for Alert (Red Alert's Japanese name)
B for Black
C for Clamp Down
D for Deep Cover

In perfect alphabetical order. ;)

Tigertrack would have been MP-12T if you must know, like MP-11S is Sunstorm.

I just say it's awesome that they finally also push the Masterpiece Line a little with Soundwave and maybe also an Soundblaster repaint and Red Alert that's also a great deal I think. So I'm really excited about this news and look forward to this line. :D

I hope mp-13 soundwave comes with a little radio version of him self so you can put it in with other figures. Like voyager class and deluxe class and have him spying or doing what ever he does best

For the last time:

Masterpiece does not follow Classics logic when it comes to repaints or retools! So stop using the Universe Sideswipe mold as an example for potential repaints.

Maybe we can get a prowl repaint from mp-12 and a silver streak lol
