Great review D! Sounds like the hype train delivered you straight to satisfaction junction. That rarely happens, especially for such a hyped mold like MP10.

I feel that mold really is the gold standard and measuring stick for the MP line. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. ;)^

For me, the real star if this review is Boxfanotron :michaelbay: ;)

I'm actually really tempted to get this guy over the original. My one problem is with his matrix though; i kinda wish it had green instead of blue and black for the handles. Unless sg prime stole it from normal prime it doesn't quite fit in with him. That and cool as it may be the trailer wasn't needed for this prime. Should've been sold seperate or molded diffrently from the prime base mode.

See, I never had the urge to get one of the originals, but this guy was well worth it.

Also, with your trailer predicament, if I'm remembering correctly, Nemesis Prime was still the same price as the regular release despite not coming with the trailer, so the trailer may not have been a price difference.

I agree with the matrix. Green would really have set it apart.

PS: You should get this guy

I've been coming to this board for so long ever since I was younger and enjoyed all these reviews. So happy to see a shoutout from the board (I'm Transgeek2345, btw)! :-(

But in all seriousness this is such an awesome figure, wish it was affordable as this is the first official retail figure for the Shattered Glass universe

By the way, just thought of this and decided to try it, but Titan Masters totally fit nicely in the areas where Spike would go:

Well hello and welcome to the boards! Glad you decided to join!

And thank you for the shattered glass comic videos. It was thanks to those that I actually got to read the comic, and it was enjoyable.

And this really is an awesome figure. He is worth the high price point. He really is awesome!

Regarding the Matrix's non-evil-looking deco, I kinda like the idea of SG Optimus stealing G1 Optimus's Matrix, as I don't believe SG Optimus ever had his own Matrix. He switched from Optronix to Optimus Prine by simply upgrading his body from stolen tech that he and his armies looted in the raids of their early days.

Darn! Yet another release of the MP-10 mold that's missing its Roller accessory.

I guess "SG Roller" is just not meant to be. :-|

That's to be expected. Sg prime would kill a human before respecting them. Plus sg is on cybertron too.

Only in certain stories. Most of the SG fiction took place on Earth, where Spike, Buster, and Butch were a brother trio of car thieves who joined up with Rodimus and helped the Autobots infiltrate an Air Force base to seize control of a military weapon that would help the Autobots take over the world.

Though, Spike never met Optimus, so it makes sense for him to be left out of this set.

Another question: does he even have an official ID number? I keep seeing MP-10SG being thrown around, but I don't see that number anywhere on his box.

Pretty odd, but not unprecedented it seems. So "MP-10SG" is completely made up despite it sounding logical?

Looks to be, unless it is official and they just didn't put it on the box for some reason

It's not a Takara release so it makes sense that it doesn't follow their numbering. And I know Hasbro has their own numbering system but that one's all over the place; I don't think their MP Bumblebee release has an ID No. either. Just counted as a special Generations release I suppose.

I think she means that it doesn't quite follow TakaraTomy's numbering order with the random gaps:

MP-01 Acid Storm: MP-11A
MP-02 Soundwave: MP-13
MP-03 Grimlock: MP-08
MP-04 Prowl: MP-17
MP-05 Sunstorm: MP-11S
MP-06 Bluestreak: MP-18
MP-07 Starscream: MP-11
MP-08 Bumblebee: MP-21

What doesn't help is that the first 5 minus Grimlock were part of the Thrilling 30 special releases, with Prowl and Sunstorm out of sequence at #27 and #15 respectively.

Isn't it a Hasbro Asia release?
Maybe that's why it has no number designation.

Why would it have a takara number if it's only a Hasbro Asia release?

And Hasbro releases don't have letters in their ID Number (yet), unless they were released by TakaraTomy as well (Acid Storm and Sunstorm). Whoever first reported it went a little ahead of himself
