And, really, I go back and watch G1(which I have been doin' with my son lately) and I'd be begging for a plot as "good" as ROTF? WRONG! Hell, go back and watch the season 2 episode "Changing Gears", wonder where the idea for the Solar Harvester came from, hmmmmmmm....... Please, can we all try to respect each other as fellow TF fans. who all share the same love for our TF hobby.

Honestly debatting issues is what these forums are for. but crossing the line & name calling is against the forum rules here.

Can a mod/admin please lock this thread. as it's crossing the line as far as insulting fellow members goes.

Yeah, i hear ya. Its just hard not to when someone that, i feel, is slaughtering source material.

But i agree, at the end of the day, whether you are a bayformer lover or not and whether you are an older or newer TF fan, we all share a love for this intellectual property and therefore all have a hobby in common.

To that end, i really do respect what alot of you guys have to say and i sincerely apologize if ive personally offended anyone.

Sure there are great g1 episodes, but for every good one there's a "the girl who loved powerglide" or the one where seaspray turns into a human and has a near romance with a humanoid. I'm no moron, g1 was nowhere near perfect. Neither are the movies.

He DID introduce Transformers to kids and teens who are probably big fans now, like me XP, and probably to some adults. The way he reimagined Transformers was WAYYYYY different from most (if not all) previous incarnations. These were way more complicated designs for the characters, and some dissapointed fans (well most fans, anyway).
Everyone does have their opinion about the characterand movie, but honestly I thought they were pretty cool, even the character designs.
I'm gonna be pretty sad to see the movies go :-(

If you think hes awesome, you should heck out some Uwe Boll flicks. I think you'd really like his big bang way of telling stories.

Thats 2 negatives.

You like Micheal Bay, so my logic dictates that if you can cut past all the hype and just watch a Uwe Boll film, you will like some of them. This could be a positive.

Hes got horror and fantasy titles. Even a sci-fi flick or two. I'm serious though, get passed all the bad things you've ever heard about the guy and try watching one of his movies that sounds interesting to you. He has just as much, if not more, acting talent in his movies than what MB has.

Who knows, you might just find another director that you like.

Michael Bay may direct spectacle fueled action films, but he does a damn good job doing it and gives a damn about his work. Just because his entry into the Transformers series wasn't up to your standard doesn't decrease this fact any less. Uwe Bole, however, is an unforgivable affliction upon the otherwise good name of the film industry who only got into the business to cheat German law to get rich. The fact he's actually trying (and failing) to make "good" films only shows his ego is bigger than his brain.
