MOTU

I've collected Heman & The Masters of the UNiverse toys since my childhood. Made my Mattel there are 3 major lines: the vintage (80's), 2002 MOTU, and MOTU Classics.

My fav is the 02 because it updates the vintage collection while keeping the gimmicks and making the figures and characters more badass.

What are your thoughts on MOTU?
What are people's favorite collection? Do you still collect? Which is your fav show? Do you read the new comics? What do you think?

I never really like He-man to be honest. The only figure I had was He-Man himself and he was only really used as canon fodder for my TFs.

I grew up with the 2000 show which was amazing but in my opinion had a very weak toy line. I am now getting into collecting the classics toys it is a very difficult line to just start collecting as most figures are very expensive. I am glad to here their are still some figures at Big Lots I would be very happy if I found an Orko. My biggest decision though is if I am going to sub to club eternia it is expensive and I still need several A list characters like Trap jaw, Beast man, and Roboto. I want to sub I just don't want to go through the whole year getting characters who I don't know.

Well good luck because those characters were at the beginning of the MOTUC run starting back in 2009

Like I said I know it is going to be a difficult line to collect I have gotten several figures for great deals though. I am basically paying list price for older figures, for example I got Man at arms and 4 other good figures for 100$ plus shipping.

They have tons of them..

To add to the ones you mentioned Count Marzo, the Faceless One, Grizzlor, Sy-Clone, Clawful, Snout Spout, Moss Man, King Grayskull (a couple others as well) the large green guy (also $10), Skeletor vs Mo-Lar ($10 for this set too) and the guy that has 3 different suits of battle armor ($10)..

I have been to 6 different Big Lots within the past week and they are all getting the same assortments.

I have most of the characters from the 2000 show as well as a bunch from the original line.

I wish I would have known what ones you needed, I could have picked all of those figures up for you for cost + shipping.

I love it.For lack of a better term,it was like a love letter to the original cartoon. It took everything thats cool about the original cartoon and brought it to new one, while still maintaining to keep its own identity. The season long story archs, the characters stories, the action, all of the them felt very good.Thats why its one my favorite cartoons :x

I grew up watching and collecting He-Man back in the 80's. Between my brother and I we had most of the the figures and all of the playsets. When GI Joe came around we got into them. Unfortunately my mom got rid of all of our He-Man toys when we got into GI Joe. When the 200x series came out I bought He-Man, Skeletor, and Trap-Jaw.

My primary collection is Transformers. However, when they released the Classics line I did pick up He-Man and Battle-cat, Skeletor and Panthor, and a complete vintage Castle Grayskull. It makes one heck of a display.
