An solid example of a transforming toy that focuses more on character and form minus the unnecessary gimmicks and features.

Really digging the transformation on this guy. I am going to have to come up with the money to get him.

It's weird to see a video "review" where the guy is COMPLETELY SILENT... and give a very VERY CLEAR transformation demonstartion. There should be more videos like theses. For once, Hasbro's instruction manuals are often obscure and full of mistakes. And often, many reveiwers transform the toy too quickly and dont show the transformation well enough.
Kudos to the one who made the video!

As for the Prime itself, after seeing the video, OF COURSE I WANT IT!

Only problem is money. 250$-300$ for this? Goddamit, I can buy a shitload of TF for that money! (Or, you know, pay the bills). And that is not counting the 50$ it would cost for the shipping. Sigh...

Now, give me a 100$ version without the trailer and I'm sold. I can even leave out the way too small Sam. I'm pretty sure a cheaper version will come out eventually. I'll just have to wait.

Shipping my PoL with this guy in it has become very very tempting.

Vanna White meets Helen Keller.

Toys O.K. Alt mode is nice, Transformation kinda neat, Robot, meh.

Looks like a few pieces are prime for breakage though a la Rodimus.

I will admit the poseability is outstanding though

Thanks for the videos wewyllenium! It's really odd that you make no noise during the review but at least we don't get loads of waffle like in Peaugh's reviews...

I dunno, the cab of the truck looks great, amazing from the front even, but the back leg area is entirely too high. Looks like a nice, fun figure overall, but it still probably has as many flaws as MP-01/04.

My goodness. If there is going to be no talking, cut the soundtrack entirely. That constant background humming about put me to sleep (I sleep with a fan on, so the constant hum makes me tired).

As for the figure, I like it. It looks good in vehicle mode, and robot mode. The transformation is interesting.

Valid point but you can also turn the sound down.

I really like the look of this. But will there be a Hasbro release like there was with Grimlock and Hot Rod? :-? (I hope so)

One of the best MPs I've seen, especially of Optimus. This blows the first MP Prime out of the water in my opinion, but the original is still awesome. That truck mode is gorgeous! =P~ Looking at it from a diagonal view makes me feel like I'm looking at a model of a cab-over.

The robot mode has amazing detail, the Matrix is molded nicely, and a nice touch on making the ear finials rubber, and the neat detail of how the smokestacks can shift to complete the truck mode. I would love to have this guy, best rendition of G1 Prime yet, though that's just my two cents. I really hope that this gets released in the States sooner or later, I would think so, since Rodimus did. Or at least wait and hope that the price drops a bit...

Overall, I'd have to say I'm liking this more than I thought I would. My only big concern is that the joints connecting the shoulders to the torso seem a bit small.

Even with MP-10, there are some qualities of MP-01/20th Anniversary Prime that I like. It would be nice if I could afford to get MP-10 and display both of them together.

So how long will it take for some 3P company to make a tiny Peter Cullen to fit in Prime's driver's seat?

THANK YOU for the silent, non-rambling review! That combined with all the notes was a great idea. There definitely should be more reviews like this. :)

This figure is definitely amazing. I'm impressed, the transformation is more simple than I thought, yet still very effective.

Affording it now is out of the question, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what Hasbro does with it.

...this isn't a review.

It's a silent video showcase.

Two totally different things. Grinds my gears, jus' sayin'...

Anyway, onto the figure...

Terrific transformation. Leaps and bounds better than MP-01. From the waist up, fine. From the waist down, not so much. Gimmicks are impressive, except the Energon axe, it just looks stupid.
Don't like the placement of the symbol on the trailer, it wasn't a big deal before, but it gnaws at me now.

I'm still impressed by it, now that I've seen the transformation and so on...but overall, the figure just isn't worth the ridiculous price tag. It just isn't, not in my book.

$150.00? Yeah, I could deal with that.

That comparison shot with classics Rodimus makes this so much easier. $250 going right into my save a MT Giant foundation. Small Masterpiece figures... shrinkage strikes again!

Video breakdown:

Pros:

Video was done very well to show you every aspect of the figure.

No stupid intros or puppet shows.

Cons:

You need to put talking on the video to discuss any possible flaws or delicate parts.

Whats up with the crusty fingernails ??? (No disrespect, Im just being honest)

As far as the figure goes I love him but I stopped collecting masterpiece.

Thanks buddy. But making reviews or critiques has never been the objective in my videos. I just make demonstrations. I have opinions about the toy but I keep them to myself. I'll be glad to share them if any one would ask. :D

My fingernails were crusty because I was working on a model kit prior to making the video on MP-10.
