I've always been primarily a metal-head, but I can listen to just about anything but hard core rap and modern country music. Love Alice in Chains, Drowning Pool, Chevelle, Metallica. In the last couple years or so, I've found several movie original scores that I like a lot - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Batman, Transformers. I'm also pumped about seeing Lady Gaga in Vegas (I think that's in March - a friend is setting up the trip so not sure yet about all the details).

Everything except screamo, techno, pop, opera, and classical. Oh and punk. I can't stand punk.

I can prettymuch listen to everything; I've got a huge variety of music on my computer. But, to answer the question.

1A. Rap. Not the radio-pop crap, I mean hardcore rap like E-40 and Bun-B.
1B. Hard Rock/Metal.
2. 80's rock. I grew up on it!

I've been on a HUGE Black Label Society kick ever since I saw them in concert a month ago. Zakk Wylde is a rock god!

Currently, well, for a long time now, Muse has been dominating my playlist (and no, not because of F@#king Twilight, I've liked Muse since 1999).

But I'll listen to anything as long as it's not rap, country, or anything that got famous through Youtube...

Can't get over the oldies (and I'm a teenager.)

Also, rock and country. From this century.
Usually sad-toned musical pieces.

Not so big on rap.

Eurobeat/techno,rock of any kind, dunno where Rammstein fits but I listen to them, some hip hop and other sorts of catchy music. Dunno where Journey fits if anything I'd call them "awesome". But still, I have an open taste for music. maybe one or two country songs if Journey doesnt count. xD

I'll listen to nearly anything. Love the old-school stuff (Rush, Styx, Eagles, Boston) all the way up through the harder, faster, louder stuff like Dragonforce, Sirenia and my all time favorite Manowar. Linkin Park and Eminem are in there as well as lighter stuff like Enigma and also some dance and symphonic stuff like Groove Coverage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I'll even listen to Country on occasion (Rodney Atkins, Shania Twain) just depends on mood.
I believe music is something you experience not just something you listen too and since everyone experiences things differently it takes a wide variety of music to cover the range of feelings and emotions that we connect with in our lives so I don't limit myself to any one genre of music.

Always a fun subject!

I started on thrash/deathmetal, I've gone on to listen to anything I fee like. Slayer, They Might Be Giants, Lady Gaga (yes!), M.I.A., Lykke Li, Primus, Pantera and so on and so on.

I listen to pretty much anything that came before the late 80's, and that includes a bit of classical music every once in a while (only if I'm really in the mood for something different, because I'd much rather stick to rock 'n' roll), as well as remixes of old video game music (haha as nerdy as that may sound it's neat to hear old memories revamped).
Anyway, some of my very favorite artists (not gonna attempt songs) are-
The Beatles (and any of their solo careers)
Buddy Holly
Hall & Oates
The Steve Miller Band
Chet Atkins
Badfinger
James Taylor
Queen
Billy Joel

ABBA, my favorite music, my fav “Does you mother know that you’re out!”
Rolf Harris, very funny, my fav is “Tie me kangaroo down sport”
Bobby Daren, great music, my fav “Beyond the sea”
Big Band, the original stuff, my fav “The Chattanooga choo-choo”

I didn't think anybody liked metal besides me anymore.

Listen to 'Bulls on Parade' by Rage Against the Machine and 'Lying from You' by Linkin Park.

That's some seriously hardcore stuff up there.

I prefer the sounds of true metal to anything else. RAtM, is good stuff, but not so sure about Linkin Park
