Hello all, here is the fruit of my labors over the past seven years or so of collecting. There are plenty of images to follow with plenty of detail...but...

if you want to rock out while you look at the collection, I made a totally rad video of it on YouTube:

Counterpunch's Totally Rad Collection Video

Images! Now, I put them in thumbnail form to make it easy on you, just click for the expanded picture.

Flattery, envy, hate, and cash donations are all welcome.

Great display and nice collection. How do you keep your TFs dust-free? or how often do you dust them? :-?

Long time lurker, but the one thing I have been waiting to see is Counterpuch's collection ever since this thread began. Nice to see Armada Laserbeak in there. He never gets any love. Also like the floating Unicron head.

Is that all of it (not that what you have isn't vast)? Wasn't sure if you had any stored away for space reasons. I was curious to compare it to my collection.

Thanks man. I honestly have no idea where I put all of it to be honest...it's like Thunderdome in there...two bots enter, but no bot leaves.

Once a year, maybe? I honestly very rarely dust. A combination of changing air filters and regular vacuuming the room seems to do the trick.

Thanks man! It's flattering that the collection was enough to bring you out to post. :)

That is nearly all of it, yes. There might be one or two 18-gallon containers of random figures in the closet with various things I'm selling or such, but what you see on display is what I intend to keep in the long term.

It was about two years ago when my wife and I got robbed. They stole nearly everything, but for whatever reason, left the Transformers. Since that happened, I really got myself towards focusing on a collection goal. It worked out like this:

-Keep and continue G1
-Collect all of Armada, Energon, and Cybertron
-On the backs of AEC, add in Classics to make a Neo-G1
-RiD, Movie, and Masterpiece/Alternators can stay too

Which meant...
-everything else had to go
-goodbye Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Titanium, RobotMasters, and any odds and ends.

The strangest thing and perhaps the most perverse...is walking into a dedicated toy room and saying to myself, 'Nah, it's really not all that much.' It's hard to shake that feeling sometimes though, but letting other people see it and share in it helps to ground the crazy-talk. Especially when they tend to walk in and say, "OH, my GOD."

and I'm reminded that normal people don't live like this.

Normal people huh? That's all a matter of perception my good man. Of course, I recognize all of those odd looks when someone finds out about my collecting habits. "What? A grown man of 39 years? What's wrong with you?" Thank God my wife allows my vice, so long as funds permit.

Yeah, I remember your post about insuring your collection and the break in. I was just curious as I have about 25 letter size paper boxes chock full of loose figures. Those are packed away in an air conditioned storage room upstairs with a select group of MISB items and such.

We built a house a couple of years back, and even though it is twice as big as our last place I still do not have any dedicated space to display. Sure, I have a few pieces blocking family photos out in the front room that my wife keeps threatening to "take care of." The last I checked good old Animated Wreckgar, the Ice Cream Twins and ROTF voyager Megs and Mixmaster were still there though.

I can only hope once my oldest moves out (she's 17 now) I can comandeer her room for my own. I need a space I can close off where the cats can't get to them. Oh how I could see the chaos that would ensue otherwise.

Keep up the good work sir. Lord knows I don't want to sound biased, but yours are the posts I look forward to reading the most. I'd like to think it has to do with like minds and all but of course I could just be full of crap.

Theres the casual fan, theres the minor collector, there's the serious collector, there's the obsessionist, and then there's this.

Dear God my man, that is the biggest collection I've ever seen.

Very nice!

Things that make me jealous:

Sonic Convoy giftset
Clear Blue Mirage
Magnificus/Ga'Mede
Botcon MegaZarak
Red Armada Thrust
Hell Flame Minicons
Crystal Magnus
ShadowHawk Cosmos Type
Chrome Horn Forest Type
Flame Saber
Frost Saber
X-Dimension Skyboom
Black E Rodimus
NoiseMaze Production Type

What is the green Energon Scorponk?
Where did the Yellow Signal Flare Weapon come from?
Who is the Black/Blue/Purple Nitro Convoy repaint?

Very impressive. I've got about 2/3 of your collection size and I've never seen it all at one time. The last time I saw my entire collection was when Cybertron was just starting. And I've bought *alot* since then.

Wow, you really did look through the pics. Awesome.

Answering questions:
1. Superlink Scorponok, nice ain't he?
2. Daylight Attack Energy Cutter (available when buying Grand Convoy or Wingsaber), Reference here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=52889&p=919655&hilit=+Royal#p919655
3. Dark Nitro Convoy, Speedia Special Exclusive to TV Magazine

I hope to be able to set up a room like that once we find a bigger place we can afford.

I did. Every picture, and I'm proud to say those were only ones I didn't recognize by sight. I didn't remember SL Scorponok was so different from E Scorponok. I think I need to pick him up.

Thanks for the link. I love that super bright green Chrome Horn set on Starscream. I've got the Alpha and Omega spears and just picked up Royal Clear from Rikkomba. I'm going to have to start hunting for the rest.

I watched that entire video. My girlfriend then teased me, telling me my collection isn't as big. :-(

What the deuce!
You sir have the best collection I ever saw!
A couple things I admire are the 4 tiered shelf with Masterpiece and Binaltechs, I absolutely love the two collections together. I noticed you even made your own Tigertrack Sideswipe (The yellow edition of him.)

Your classics Autobots and Decepticons are a great touch, love the Henkei seekers. Then I saw all the G1s, and I'm like; No, this can't get any better. Well it did. In simplest of words, by far the most amazing collection I've ever seen.

Wow, the figures are very well spread out by series and collection, and you don't have all that crowding int one space you see with some other collections. Way to go man.
:APPLAUSE:

I aspire to be you one day, CP.
Just one question, have you ever been looking at your shelves and realised, "Hey! I forgot I bought that guy!" ?

That's what I call good memory, I had to keep an updated lists of all the figures I already bought in case I buy duplicates that I don't need. :-?
