Well I don't even know one of the knights so that "Everyone knows him" part would be kinda misleading. What's wrong with another Megs? They are releasing 10 Optimuses a year and no one complains.

From Hasbro, yes. but the Club is to give us stuff that Hasbro won't give us. We always get Optimuses and Megatrons that they've become so commonplace that the Club just making one more would be redundant and pointless.

And the story is set 30 years after the G1 cartoon era of the Wings Universe, so Megatron is still Galvatron by this point, and is represented by his Universe 2008 toy body.

And all the Cons in this year's set of exclusives are Star Seeker pirates led by Cannonball, so including a Megatron in this would be nonsensical since Cannonball is the main villain leader of this story.

As for you not knowing any of the knights, no one does. Nothing has been said of who they are yet because the Club hasn't announced any clue of their identities yet. All their promotion thus far has been focused on the pirates, so for all we know the knights could be consistent of the most well known of mainstream icons short of the big tiers players (i.e. - Optimus, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ironhide, Rodimus, etc.). We just have to wait and see who they are.

But one thing's for sure is that the pirates are likely all obscure Squadron X dudes plus Cannonball.

OK I understand why you are saying knights and pirates now. I still don't know about this Squadron X. So the 'everyone knows this guy' part doesn't apply to me. I'll stay of of this topic and observe from now on.

Well, first off, who is "everyone?" Is it everyone everyone or is it the Transformers fandom everyone? Because, if it's simply everyone, then it would have to be Optimus Prime, and we have an exponentially and continuously expanding enormous swath of him. If not him, then it has to be Megatron.

Or, whoever wrote the tweet really overestimates how much "everyone" knows about Transformers, and the character in question isn't really that well-known.

My real guess was Soundwave. We haven't had an updated G1 Soundwave, well not counting MP Soundwave but he's a super perfect and accurate version and not an update.

I'm guessing Circle of Light characters for the Knights. Dai Atlas from Cybertron Voyager Starscream, maybe Star Saber. I know he was a traitor in MTMTE but Star Saber was a Circle member at one point.

I doubt the Club will using any Cybertron molds, but they have hinted at using "Classics-style" (Classics, Universe, Generations, etc.) and a surprise Energon mold.

I've been using Wing Saber as Classics Star Saber since before Classics started, back when it was just Neo-G1. I didn't mention it solely because I hope to God they don't use that.

He's too similar to the source material to be useful, anyway. I have a feeling FoC Air Raid will be used as a Knight, don't know whom though.

Air Raid will make a decent knight.

IMO, Fall of Cybertron Soundwave makes a decent enough Classics Soundwave for me.

Uhh... gimme another hint. The only blue guys running around as troopbuilders and scene fillers I could think of are the Guardian Robots/Omega Sentinels.
