As for me personally, I'll probably try everything I can to "fix" the character myself first, if gluing the mast on would actually be able to functionally eliminate the glaring gap than I might just try that. If not I'll discard the mask and just pain the base head. Either way though, should a 3P head come along and isn't more expensive than the base figure, then it's something I'll at least have to consider.

That, or since I have spare Energon Voyager-Class Megatron packed away somewhere or another I might just have to dig it out of storage and see how viable it would be to cannibalize that head.

Peaugh did a good mod on his where he removed the crown, shaved down the inside, removed the crowns chin strap and it works. You can't put nebulon in a cockpit anymore but let's be honest, nobody rides in Galvatron. Not even Galvatron rides in Galvatron :lol:

Ordered my own Galvatron, it'll be here in a few days. Though the mask gimmick is disappointing, the thing that really gets is actually the fact that his head isn't purple like we saw when he was first revealed. What's up with that? I'll probably find an alternative way to make his head.. maybe make my own crown thing.

Honestly I do agree about going 3rd Party with the head to see if there's anything better out there because of how the crown sits on the head when viewing from an angle. The thing is it does eliminate viewing the figure from the side or positioning it any cool poses or whatever.

Overall, I like this figure's sculpt and engineering more than the original G1 '86 version and definitely more than the Universe/Classics version. I do see it as an improvement in some ways mostly due to the engineering and construction reasons involved. I mean the Universe/Classics version isn't a bad figure itself, but the engineering on it is screwy due to it being down-sized from a Voyager to Basic and the limbs being loose and popping off during transformation which is a downright pain.

I know I was initially happy with getting CW Leader Megatron as he was when he first came out. There was a few minor complaints I had, but overall I love the figure. I am probably going to go with a 3rd party solution though from DX9 to give him some extra enhancing features to "improve" the bot mode.

I actually like the head on him... just without the dumb mask gimmick. his head is a decent galvy head on its own, if it were painted up that is. granted his crown/crest/shredder helmet is just sculpted detail and not flared out, but it is still decent. will be painting mine up soon.

Again, I wonder why Galvatron needed that separate crown when Sentinel was able to have the partner form the complete head. They could've just properly painted Galvatron's head and be done with it.

I'd like to see how this looks on PMOP, since its pretty much a given this head is going to get repainted in Prime Blue at some point, either by takara or Hasbro themselves.

Galvatron looks good. It might be the best first party figure we had in a while. I'm not too sold on Prime though due to that paint color. He's a bit too bright for my taste.
What I'm really worried about are the Headmasters. Some are saying the post screws are too long or that the plastic is too small. I don't want to drop my money if the figure are going to be splitting in half.

Whilst I still think it's a crying shame the likes of Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay aren't getting bodies, those little mini-vehicles are neat. Nightbeat's drilltank is cool but I like the version that comes with Legends Chromedome better. Horri-Bull's flak tank is so cute I'd buy every version of it- same with Squeezeplay if I'm honest. Not sure quite what's going on with Siren's vehicle's alternate mode- is it like a bulldozer train or something?
