Yes, different set scheduled to release later this year.

Ok, makes sense. As long as get a new Decepticon counterpart set.

Such a dilemma, out the 3 sets announced, I only want 1 in each: Ironhide, Ratchet and Astrotrain, simply because I don't have either of these molds. :(

A complimenting Decepticon set has not yet been announced as being offered with the K/P/R set. However, you'll remember there were only two ACE sets: Seekers and Coneheads. So, it's possible that more Autobots are coming your way to even the odds.

Hound's box art is terrifying. I mean, look at it.

That is not the face of mercy. :-s

I see they're giving him the Sgt. Bulkhound AOE persona...

The Seekers Ace set was S/S/T, the Coneheads were the Seekers Elite set.

Good to know!

Hope Hound's green is the brighter shade in the link versus the more drab, muted green he seems to have in the pics in this thread.

Now to decide whether to take the gamble of selling my original MOSC Hound & Mirage figures in the hope that this set dips below $100 on clearance, much as the Seeker Ace & Elite sets did.

I need Mirage, Perceptor, and Astrotrain.

The rest can be replacements, as the ones I do have are starting to show their age.

I'm concerned about the availability of these. The previous sets already have been available (such as the one with Galvatron, Astrotrain, etc) but haven't come into BBTS yet.

Hmm. Perhaps they decided to make "Asia Exclusives" strictly exclusive to Asia. :-?

The Decepticon Specialists pack was already released? Do we have pictures? I'm eager to see the deco changes to those figures as compared to Classics (2.0)/Henkei.

I was being more or less serious about the yellow eyes question, because I know bots like perceptor, blaster, and even soundwave had yellow eyes either on their old toys or a comic appearance and was curious as to whether or not Hound had similar reasoning, or is it just random?

You got me beat. The G1 toy had unpainted eyes, all the others had blue eyes.

youre right.

G1 toy: unpainted/silver
G1 cartoon: blue
classics: blue
henkei: blue

maybe if the G1 toy had gold eye stickers like the seekers?

Best answer I could find when asking around about this was "Maybe just to be different this time or something."

Guess we'll never know unless some interview with an answer from the designer ever pops up and get translated.
