I don't know what to think, other than I really want it, and I want it now.

That game is going to be nuts. People complain that it's not like other MG games because you don't sneak around. Not everybody should be a stealth agent. But I can't wait.

Have you seen anything on the new Solid? I want this so bad.

I created another thread for Ground Zeroes a while ago. But yeah, Revengeance FTW. Platinum Games? Yes please!

No, but the point is that it's a stealth-based series. Stray to far from the core design of any given series, you're going to piss off the fans, even if you try to justify it.

But I agree, shut up and take my money. They're making a game that captures being a Cyborg Ninja, and despite the fact that at this point it makes the game Metal Gear In Name Only, I really, really want it. Ooh, I hope they'll have unlockable skins for Grey Fox and Mr. X...

So I've found MGS 1, 2,3 and Peace Walker. And I found MG and MG: Solid Snake to download for the upcoming games. I don't have Portable Ops though... I still can't find MGS4 for the life of me. The search continues. But I have been keeping an eye on MGR, and they've been making this game for like 3 years now. I guess they stopped it and completely redid it.

I would also like to go on record as saying the subtitle "Revengeance" is the dumbest thing ever. If this were a parody of action games, it would be fine, but it's not, it's Metal Gear. And Metal Gear Rising is a good enough title, they didn't need to stick in words made up by 12-year-old kids trying to sound cool on the internet.

I know what you mean, but its a marketing thing. They were hyping it, and went a little overboard.

I don't need to buy it. I bought the game like 3 years ago. I just packed it before I moved here 4 months ago and I haven't been able to find it since I got here to my new house. But MGR looks like it has a MGS tone, but with fast paced game play

Well, that makes a lot more sense.
Anyway, MGS Hasn't really been about the gameplay, rather the story.

Though, it makes strides in it's game play that other games should really learn from.

For example, PS1 Psycho Mantis. Who else had ever thought of anything that crazy? To use the Console against the player was unheard of really.

Here it looks to be making a change, I expect the same quirks as to be expected from any metal gear title, but it's going to be a lot more action based. I'm more worried about plot, to be honest.

It's why Psycho Mantis is one of, if not the most memorable boss in video games. They took the most mundane abilities of the Playstation, things most players take for granted or never even think about, and made them, quite literally mind-blowing.

Exactly. go back to MGS4 fight Psycho Mantis again and change it your controller to controller 2. The game steps in and says that it won't work like that again.

Is MGS Acid and Acid 2 cannon? I used to have acid but I never played it because everything you do have to be done using cards.

I dont know anything about AC!D sadly.
