thats the news that really pissed me off. I mean for one thing the Game boy Advance library is MUCH MUCH better than the DS library
Cormaster628 wrote:and the GBA slot is not just for BC, its also an accessory port, ie the guitar grip. Guitar Hero: On Tour is one of the best selling and most fun games on the system, yet on the new DS you won't be able to use it!
Cormaster628 wrote:I bought the DS because I had so much fun with my GBA I didn't think the DS would dissapoint. After you play all 5 awesome games on the system, you realize there are a **** ton of games and nearly all of them suck!
Cormaster628 wrote:Why the DS is outselling the PSP? I still have no idea. After seeing my friends PSP's at work I feel I made the wrong decision honestly!
Wigglez wrote:Just remember. The sword is an extension of your arm. Use it as if you're going to karate chop someone with your really long sharp ass hand.
Cormaster628 wrote:yes I think its a major ****-up they removed the GBA slot. ANd regardless of your opinion of guitar hero: on tour, it did NOT get mediocre reviews! Last I checked IGN gave it a 8 out of 10 which is a rather high review, and honestly its probably one of the best, if not the best game on the system.
Cormaster628 wrote:Not to mention their is a sequel planned for it
Cormaster628 wrote:so how is nintendo going to solve this problem now that the guitar grip is incompatible with the new DSi model.
Cormaster628 wrote:Another thing I have a problem with is the very fact its just a stop gap sequel to the DS. Nintendo needs to make one **** system and just stick with it. THis redesigning **** 2005832 times is just getting old.
Cormaster628 wrote:The DS has been out since 2004, and the PSP owns it on graphics. Its time to bring out its successor not another re-design!
Wigglez wrote:Just remember. The sword is an extension of your arm. Use it as if you're going to karate chop someone with your really long sharp ass hand.
Cormaster628 wrote:The graphics aren't the real problem the real problems are the fact is those poopy DS cartridges that are the same size as an SD card, can only hold like 256Meg, while the Sony UMD disc can hold like 2 gig! If the DS had a little more storage I think they could do more with games and graphics.
Cormaster628 wrote:And **** what the other reviewers say... take a review from me. Guitar Hero: on Tour is 9 out of 10, its only flaw is their aren't a whole lot of songs.
Cormaster628 wrote:Thats a review from a real person, not some stupid Gaming site that gets paid millions of dollars to review a game.
Wigglez wrote:Just remember. The sword is an extension of your arm. Use it as if you're going to karate chop someone with your really long sharp ass hand.
Cormaster628 wrote:Well my point is anyway the new DS model sucks. I don't see the point, and I've only had my DS lite since last christmas... why would I wanna go spend $130 again to have a new one? And also why are they making it even thinner? honestly the DS lite is already too small... try playing a game that requires the stylus for long hours and you'll see what I mean. Theres no good way to hold the system. The original wasn't very pretty to look at it, and the screen sucked, but it was a lot more comfortable on the hands.
Cormaster628 wrote:Also announcing the model at the time they did they just killed the DS lite sales for Christmas. Why would anyone want one now when they can just wait till next year and get a better model?

Cormaster628 wrote:Actually I think the PSP's battery life is due to its usage of optical discs
Wigglez wrote:Just remember. The sword is an extension of your arm. Use it as if you're going to karate chop someone with your really long sharp ass hand.
Cormaster628 wrote:Well I look at the usage of Opitical discs a f*** up by Sony. Its not that I have a problem with the fact that Nintendo doesn't use Optical discs. My problem is these days you can get up to 16GB SD cards, yet Nintendo chose 256MB for their game cards. That really doesn't give developers enough space to do a whole lot.
And its not like i expected the DS to have 16GB cartridges or anything like that, but 1 to 2GB isn't a whole lot to ask is it?

Cormaster628 wrote:But how cool would it be to say have Phantom Hourglass with full speech!
As a Zelda fan, I can say: No. Zelda is better off without spoken dialogue. It'd be like giving the Doom Dude spoken dialogue.Cormaster628 wrote:Have games full of video and soundeffects.
That is what a video game is.Cormaster628 wrote:How about instead of Guitar Hero on tour, a full port of Guitar Hero 3?
A good idea, but with one problem: Count the frets on the GH or Rock Band guitars, then count the ones on the Guitar grip.Cormaster628 wrote:The DS has the same problem the N64 did and its why the N64 failed.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa! The N64 failed? How did it fail? I always figured a console only really failed if it got taken off the market before it could put out a successor console.
Not to mention, N64 had a huge number of good games, before Microsoft went and pulled Rare right out from under their feet.Cormaster628 wrote:The Largest N64 cartridge was 64MB, while a the CD's that playstation games were on were 700MB. N64 may of had more power, but the Playstation could still make a lot better games.
Define "Better." Because in all honesty, I'd rather play Star Fox 64 or Ocarina of Time than any PS1 game. (Except for Ape Escape, that damn addicting bastard)Cormaster628 wrote:Honestly I think the hardware in the DS is enough... and for the most part I have little complaint about the graphics. ITs just the compromise the games get because of the lack of storage space!A

Cormaster628 wrote:I don't know what is being compromised other than the GBA slot.
Cormaster628 wrote:From my understanding its being omitted so they can make the system thinner... why in gods name does it need to be thinner? Also one of the big things about the DS lite was the improved battery life...so why make this one have less battery life? I understand the screens are larger... so what do you do? put a higher capacity battery in it! Its not rocket science you know?
Cormaster628 wrote:I haven't touched my GBA collection much at all ever since I got my DS. However it's also an accessory port. Thats the PRIMARY reason nintendo put the GBA port in it!
