That, honestly, had more to do with the story writing than the characters themselves. Personally, I had more to do with them via the video games than I did the show, & they seemed much more competent. I honestly think if they reintroduced Bebop & Rocksteady, they would actually be competent....or at least semi-competent....more than likely even badass instead of dumbass. Hell, Shredder was before they made him into a "Krang".Zuko wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:That was pretty neat, though TMNT hasn't seemed to be the same to me ever since they f***ed up Shredder in the newer cartoons by having him replace Krang as the robot body with a brain-like alien in his chest.
Well at least he wasn't a wuss like in the 80's toon always running away. No dumbass Bebop and Rocksteady. The 03 cartoon was a step up in every category.

& No Tokah or Rahzar also means no Frank Welker.Senor Hugo wrote:Trans4mers4ever wrote:Senor Hugo wrote:The movie, follows the first movie in the fact that the Shredder is dead. Movie 2 and 3 never happened in this movies timeline.

Bingo, no Vanilla Ice, no Tokah, no Rahzar, no Kevin Nash as the Super Shredder.
And best of all, no Vanilla Ice.

Um, Krang is a robot with a dissembodied brain, The new Kickass Shredder is a Utron. Big differance.Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:That was pretty neat, though TMNT hasn't seemed to be the same to me ever since they f***ed up Shredder in the newer cartoons by having him replace Krang as the robot body with a brain-like alien in his chest.
I grew up with the 80's turtles myself, but after the comics and 2003 series, I have to say, I never want to see those two again, I prefered Hun, he atleast as a halfwitt, was imposing, and I believe we had Omages to Rocksteady and Bebop in 2003 already.Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:I honestly think if they reintroduced Bebop & Rocksteady, they would actually be competent....or at least semi-competent....more than likely even badass instead of dumbass. & what is an Utron but an alien disembodied brain in a robot body???SuperSaiyajinSasuke wrote:Um, Krang is a robot with a dissembodied brain, The new Kickass Shredder is a Utron. Big differance.
& who says if they redid Bebop & Rocksteady they couldn't make them competent? I never said I wanted to see them redone brick for brick...I want to see them done better, & I think it's a shame they took such neat villan characters in the original cartoon & made them all stupid. I've always hated stupid villians in shows. They just don't make for good entertainment, unless their stupidity has a well thought-out purpose.I grew up with the 80's turtles myself, but after the comics and 2003 series, I have to say, I never want to see those two again, I prefered Hun, he atleast as a halfwitt, was imposing, and I believe we had Omages to Rocksteady and Bebop in 2003 already.
Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:& what is an Utron but an alien disembodied brain in a robot body??? Too long to SayWhile Krang is a mutated dissembodied brain in a dumb looking robot body, 2003 is based on the comic, while original is very loosely based on the comics, Krang is based on the Utrom race. If memory serves correctly, it was one of the original authors ideas to retcon Oroku Saki into an Utrom. 2003 and Mirage comics are cannon, everything else is not.SuperSaiyajinSasuke wrote:Um, Krang is a robot with a dissembodied brain, The new Kickass Shredder is a Utron. Again, as I should have said before, the 80s cartoon isn't canon, they... never existed out of that universe.
