I won't be getting any new masterpiece figures till a new design comes out. I'll wait for the MP-10 to go on clearance like MP-09 and if it doesn't no sweat it's only plastic

It still aggravates me this wasn't done the first time. $200 for a new figure is one thing, a remold...not so much.

EDIT: Just saw the $160 update. Not as bad but I'm not quite sold yet. I'd like to see more pictures.

That's it. No more freeking MP's. I almost bought MP10 but this is horseshit. Why can't they make a new friggin character? They already gave us an evil hot rod that no ever heard of and now this? Does Takara surf the web? Do they know that 3rd parties have already done this??? Why even give SS a crown? He wore it for a whole 10 seconds before he got blown up.

People need to stop buying this recycled crap so Takara gets the message to keep bringing more new blood.

The outcry is the exactly the same when fans saw the modified Starscream with the hip kibble 5 years ago. Ironic.

I actually like this version and I don't think the price is too much considering the devalued American currency, added labor and material costs. And even thought I own every incarnation of the original mold, I am happy to finally get the Starscream that I wanted.

i know the feeling ravage xk the prices on these things are getting stupid. I kind of see the point if they make it a lot more challenging to transform then ok but $200 for a toy is kind of high.

New face mold, new hip mold, new machine guns and the removal of the hip kibble.

New investments in new molds plus the long dormant in plans but shelved but re implemented coronation set.

So the price is indeed justified. Money doesn't grow in trees (but from our drained pockets :lol:

).

Btw, Takara ain't forcing us to buy him right? We aren't like entitled to the price we want. This IS an expensive hobby.................heck, until now still saving for an MP-10 which I sooooooooo want but need to take care of other expenses first. :BANG_HEAD:

I'm sold. I never bought any of the MP seekers, but I did contemplate purchasing Screamer many times, I just couldn't get over the issues it seemed to have, which appear to be fixed in this version. Already pre-ordered on BBTS

Really bugs me that it seems to have no ankle joints, thus no articulation for the feet. I would trade the coronation set for more articulation. Specifically the feet and waist. No point in saying it can't be done. They've had plenty of years and this higher priced remold is what they come up with? Hmm.. When will they come out with a better Megatron, Galvatron, or Soundwave?

The new MP Starscream wings are so weird they have like a spike sticking out from the bottom and I don't like the feet. Easy Pass........I'm keeping the old one

I don't like the feet, and he doesn't seem to have any ankle articulation. That sort of cancels out the improved hip articulation due to the removal of kibble. The new face is weird too, a little to cat-like, or something. I also feel like those wing spikes should fold up. Could use more paint detail too... That's a lot of issues for an 'improved' figure.

I do like the fact that he's not white though, unlike the previous Hasbro & Takara US Editions.

The way the null rays fold up like that in jet mode. WOWzers! Still a little kibbly with the spikes coming down form the wings, but an improvement for sure. Price tag is a little stiff but manageable.

Seriously though, i agree with everyone else, lets see some new characters in the mix! More decepticons!

Considering today's value of the dollar, I think 160USD is fine. I got Thundercracker for 145USD. And that like the time it came out. MP-04 cost around 130USD in 2006. And that was 2006 money. I personally think the price is a steal.

New molds for the arms, legs, null rays and pelvis area. Plus the coronation set.

And look at the plastic. It seems crispier. I hope the quality on this one is at par with MP-10. MY old seekers have warped and sagged plastic molds.

My only current gripe is the fact that the hands are still the same ball jointed ones.

I'm exited with this release.

They've fixed his (in)ability to stand and fixed the part-forming with the arm guns but be warned people: there is no articulation on his hip panels - he seems to have very limited leg movement.
