Lovely dogs, welcome to the site. :D

So, aside from my comic, I've discovered I have a knack for digital poster making in photoshop, literally I had 45 minutes to make a poster for prom, completed it in 38.

Thank you Madeus! Make a digital poster in 38 mins sound quite fast. Although I will confess I have no frame of reference. So even if you did it 45 minutes I would have thought that was quick :)

I do freelance translation and writing, and while the first is mostly on whatever the job might be, I also translate poetry as a 'spare-time' thing (I regularly contribute to this online publication: http://thenorwichradical.com/arts/).

"We'll Die Apart" that is your translation, yes?

All translations are mine, yes! :D

Wow, thanks! The original was very moving, and I really liked playing with it to get a nice flow in English too.

I enjoy watching television programs like the Star Trek series. My favorite was the original series back in 1966. And my second favorite was Next Generation.

I also enjoy watching anime cartoons. I like When they Cry, Hellsing, Dragonball Z and Escaflowne.

There are so many books that I like to read, that it's hard to recount all of them. The genres of books I enjoy reading are, however, are dark fantasy, historical fantasy, mechanical science fiction, Time travel Science fiction, action Manga, horror manga and different kinds of daily comic book collections.

And finally, I like to write dark poetry and different kinds of fan fiction.

--

The role playing video games I like are Lunar Silver Star Story, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, Legend of Legaia, Legaia 2 Duel Saga and Final Fantasy VII and IV.

My favorite action games are all the mario games on the NES, Sonic 2 on Sega and megaman 1-5.

And finally my favorite action adventure game is Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past.

Lets see, other interests...

I'm recently married, my wife has fairly severe progressive myoclonic epilepsy, so I double as her carer when she's unwell, we tend to try and do a lot of charity work for Epilepsy Action when we can.

We have a dog named Spike, 2 years old, he's a thoroughbred Shihtzu and the runt of his litter. He's surprisingly intelligent and mischievous, and keeps the wife company while I'm at work.

Lottie and I both collect toys so our house can be a bit of an Alladin's Cave at times. She's currently into Ever After High and trying to sell of her collection of Gen 5 My Little Pony figures.

I personally love anything robots, so I've picked up a lot of Gundam, Megaman, Super Robot Taisen etc. figures over the years. I love building model kits so a lot of these are Bandai Master Grade/Perfect Grade and Kotobukiya stuff. I dabbled in sculpting my own figures for a few years, and that's carried over to my transformers collection, as I like to add paint touch ups and slight mods where possible, as long as it's not too intrusive.

I'm a big Anime nerd, and again, my love is robots. Super Robot, Real Robot, Horror and Cyberpunk are my preferred Genres. So again, a lot of Gundam, Macross, Patlabor, Gurren Lagann, Gunbuster, Diebuster, Knights of Sidonia, etc.

I'm a keen gaming fan, and I enjoy mainly the older greats, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Megaman, Metal Gear, Armored Core. Though my interest has capped off recently as I can't really find a lot of time to get stuck in if it's not on a handheld console (thank Christ for Majora's Mask 3D).

I also like rock music a lot, mainly Grunge, Alt Rock, Nu Metal, Heavy Metal. So basically I'm saying my taste sucks. I'm not going into individual bands because that can get really polarising very quick.

I'm not really sure if there's anything else about me worth mentioning so I'll pinch it off there. :-B

In my case besides Transformers I have quite a few hobbies. I like to collect police and military stuff such as uniforms and gear. I am into police and military vehicles also. I own a black 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor which I am working on to make it more into a police car such as adding a spotlight and blue LED lights and siren and all that. I am an armed security officer so I use my car as a patrol vehicle on the job so that is where the warning equipment would come in handy. I am also real into Anime like Bleach, Naruto, Gantz, Golgo 13, Crying Freeman and a bunch of other Anime and Manga. I also love horror films. Friday The 13th films being my favorite. Action films are something I am into also. the original Die Hard being my favorite movie of all time. And my biggest hobby that Transformers is actually a second two and that is gun collecting. I own a AR-15 Semi Automatic Rifle (civilian legal version of the M16 Assault Rifle that the US Armed Forces and tons of other militaries in the world issue to there infantry), a Semi Automatic only version of the AK47, a Mossberg 590 Tactical Shotgun, Winchester 20 Gauge Single Shot that my grandfather owned, a Soviet Tula Tokarev 30 Semi Automatic Pistol that my grandfather was given by the Czech Resistance in WWII when he was a ball turret gunner on a B24 Liberator Bomber Plane in the US Army Air Force and shot down and put in a POW camp and later escaped and the Resistance gave that to him to defend himself with and he later found his way to allied troops, A Ruger P94 9mm Semi Automatic Pistol, Sig Sauer 40 Caliber Semi Automatic Pistol (that I usually carry on the job as a security officer), a Beretta Model 96 Semi Automatic Pistol and finally my favorite pistol my Springfield Armory Model 1911 A1 Mil-Spec 45 Caliber Semi Automatic. And I am a book worm and love to read. Mostly military books but alot of other things as well. 8)

Some unusual taste there, Naruto and Bleach are pretty far removed from the other 3. Well, less so gantz, but Golgo 13 and Crying freeman are classics. I'm guessing you like the violent hardboiled thriller kind of stuff. Any other favourites?

Yeah some others I forgot to mention are Black Lagoon, Desert Punk, Angel Beats, Requiem For The Phantom (both the OVA and especially the full series), Madlax, both the full series and later OVA's of Hellsing, Elfen Lied, the OVA movie Ninja Scroll (after all the years it has been I read they are finally working on a script for a second one)and of course they seem out of place but I also like Ikki Tousen, Negima, Love Hina, Ah My Goddess, To Love Ru and Qwaser Of Stigmata. I am a big fan of the Rosario + Vampire manga series but couldn't stand the anime adaptation since they made it way to campy and didn't stick closer to the stories from the mangas since they left alot out of the animated series. Speaking of which even though I loved the Gantz animated series I prefer the manga alot more since the animated series didn't stick to the stories enough either and left alot of characters out of it. Not to mention the cliffhanger ending of the show unlike the manga series it was based off of that has a good ending to it from what I have read about it on wikipedia. I haven't read all of them yet since the last few volumes haven't been printed in the USA yet. :CON:

Pretty varied interests there, it's a pet hate of mine when the show deviates so far from the manga as to write a whole new. Like with the first series of full metal alchemist. They did it with 'Welcome to the NHK' aswell, but I saw the show first there so it ended up being the manga that irritated me.

Obs you support by buying the volumes, but have you tried reader sites like mangafox to catch up with the ending?

Yeah it is a shame when they have to change the TV series so much from the manga and in rarer case if the manga is adapted from and animated series them making the mangas totally different from the show. :BANG_HEAD:

Yes I always have liked print better than reading something online. Just feels good to have something in your hand to read. Especially good if you are in a power outage and you want to read. I especially like hard cover books. The look, feel and the smell of them. I have checked out some sites that you can read manga on but I still prefer the anticipation of getting the manga in print when it is released to book stores. I still have a long ways to go before I get to the end of Gantz anyway. When I have the money to get some more I plan two.The last volume I got is 24 and I think there are 34 or 35 volumes if I recall right. So I look forward to getting a bunch more.

Ok, I'm necrobumping. I know. I'm bowing my head in shame even as I type this. But I'm extremely giddy, and this is the thread I originally touted this on, so here it is. This is my biggest non-TF interest.

The book I talked about earlier in this thread finally made it into publication! Check it out! I'm ecstatic right now! In a Galaxy Far, Far Awry issue 1: Serial Fiction Sideshow What's more is issue 2, Home Sweet Home Invasion is coming really soon, and I've got plans to get issue 3, Technophobia, out there almost as really soon.

I'm even doing some conventions and I'm gonna be calling around to book and comic stores for book signings. This thing I thought might never happen...just happened!

I'm an aspiring writer and both writing a book and trying to get with my friends to create a transformers fanfiction Web series.

Also, the reason I commented is I am a huge mystery science theater 3000 fan. And incase you don't know, Joel Hodgson is on kickstarter trying to fund a new reboot of mst3k. Please check out his kickstarter page and read about it. It ends on Dec 11. And if you don't know what mst3k is, tune in on thanksgiving for the turkey day marathon.

Alright, knock it off. You don't need to go from thread to thread posting about the Kickstarter. You're bordering on spamming.

@Bluestreak00: If you want, I can take a look at your story, give you some feedback. I offered if to SlyTF1 and could only read a few pages, but what I can do is take a quick scan and point out some things if you'd like. If you're interested, PM me.

I also do fiction-writing tutoring and prose writing tutoring (two separate things) if you're interested. It's usually for local people so I can meet face to face, but I can do this on Skype too.

@everyone: And, seriously, if you don't know Mystery Science Theater 3000, it is absolutely on par with anything you've ever laughed at before. Cheap budget, but the laughs are incredible. When filming the movie, they had to actually cut down on jokes so people would stop laughing and follow the plot. They had to hold back! So, seriously, give this project a shot at the link Bluestreak00 gave here. It's worth your five seconds. No doubt. :-P Love that show.

So, seriously, give this project a shot at the link Bluestreak00 gave here. It's worth your five seconds. No doubt. :-P Love that show.

Thanks, I'm a teen and not really supposed to talk to people on the Internet personally, so I'm not going to do that, but big thanks. I do have a forum on here about the Web series though, and if you want we can discuss that there.

Also, so excited for mst3k!
