Could some of you guys post pics of your collections here? I was just wondering if there were any good collections in NC.

Not really a sighting, unless you saw me, but I was in R/D yesterday for an interview in the Research Triangle area, and wanted to know if anyone could ge me some area suggestions if I were to move down.
Kinda like what towns to avoid, where are taxes high, etc. We have two young sons, one of which would start kindergarden next year, so schools are a factor too. Any help is appreciated, feel free to PM if you don't want to clog the sightings forum!

Thanks!!

I don't know what the deal is with the Wal-Mart Super Centers in Lexington and Thomasville, but neither place is ordering Transformers: ROTF Toys. The Lexington store is the worst as they have a total of 12 pegs for Deluxe figures and right now there is only one figure on each peg and every one of them is Jolt. The shelf for Voyager Class figures isn't any better. There's enough room on the shelf for a total of approximately 12 to 18 figures and there's only 6 and all of them are Stratosphere. It's been like this for at least two months while the Deluxes have been on Roll-Back to $10.00 and the Voyagers have been on Roll-Back for $20.00. Of course, the pegs with the Scouts are bursting at the seams, but it's not of any of the most recently released Waves. The Lexington store did finally get in probably one box of Legends and I was finally able to purchase Wheelie, but no luck with Stealth Bumblebee. The Legends pegs look sad too, all 8 pegs with maybe two Legend figures to each peg. I've even left Post-It notes on the shelves and pegs on numerous occasions stating "Is anyone ordering this item?" or "Please order more!" If they want my money, they should get the merchandise in, right?

The Thomasville location isn't doing much better either. However, their 12 pegs for Deluxe figures are full as well as the back endcap, also on Roll-Back for $10.00. The shelf for the Voyager Class figures had about 8 figures and there was a even mix of Stratospheres, Megatrons, Ratchets, and one Bludgeon. During several trips in the past I was able to get the most recently released Scouts and Legends in this store, but that was about it.

But the silver lining to this gray cloud is that I hit the Salisbury Wal-Mart Super Center last week and I was able to find Deluxe Ratchet, Deluxe Brawn, and Voyager Mindwipe. They have the Voyagers on Roll-Back for $19.97 and the Deluxes on Roll-Back for $9.00. Sweet! However, no sign of Voyager Defender Optimus Prime, Deluxe Lockdown, Deluxe EVAC, Deluxe Rampage (Red), or Deluxe Strike Mission Sideswipe. Now if this store can get the merchandise into their store, how come the Thomasville and Lexington locations can not?

oh snap, people post here!

To ^, if the same stuff is on the shelf, they've probably got the newer stuff, merely haven't put it out due to the old stuff just... sitting there.

Have you tried the Super Wally off of 150/Peters Creek? That's not very far from Lexington/T-ville.

Most of mine is boxed up/in storage, otherwise I would. Blame it on trying to stay mobile.

I'd like to think I have a pretty baller collection though. Getting close to the 1500 mark here :D

That's just it, the "old stuff" is selling at the Lexington store especially with the new roll-back price. Since that post, the Lexington Wal-Mart Deluxe pegs are either down to one Deluxe to a peg or no Deluxe figure at all. Though the Voyagers aren't on Roll Back, there's plenty of room for about two cases of Voyagers. It just looks sad.

As for the Thomasville store, they still have the endcap with Deluxes, but it's dangerously thin to the point that the figures could just about be worked around to the main Transformers aisle pegs.

The concept of just holding new stuff in the back and not putting it out doesn't make sense. You can't sell it if it's in the back in storage. Common sense should tell them the newer stuff would sell because, duh, it's newer and no one has it and thus it would sell. But I've learned things that make sense usually don't happen.

I don't make it to Winston-Salem often, but I did go there a couple of months back when I was on the hunt for Animated Arcee at the Toys R Us. I managed to go to the Super Wal-Mart there, but it turned up nothing. Thanks for your suggestion.

I've all but given up on the Lexington Wal-Mart getting in new Transformers for now. Their pegs have looked like this for months now and nothing's being done about it. A few months back one of the employees told me that the previous Toy Department manager quit and they've not found anyone willing to take her place. Maybe if the job paid more.

I recently ordered Lockdown from Target online and I've about decided against buying Voyager Class Defender Optimus Prime. It's like the fifth repaint of that mould since the first movie and I'm simply burnt out on it. The only Deluxes I lack from this wave are EVAC and Rampage (Red).

Update 5/27/10: I was just in the Lexington Wal-Mart Super Center and there are a total of 5 Deluxe figures hanging on 9 pegs, leaving 4 of those pegs void of anything. There are a total of 3 Voyagers (2 Megatrons and 1 Stratosphere). The Scout pegs are full, but of the older waves while the Legends pegs are virtually empty except for maybe a total of 8 figures. I think it's time I contacted the home office and complain that either this particular store isn't ordering Transformers, storing them up in the stockroom for after the roll back deal ends, or the regional warehouse isn't getting Transformers in and aren't able to fill orders.

I forgot to mention that Star Wars action figures are on Roll-Back too to $4.50, but this Wal-Mart store's been ordering them and keeping the pegs full, just not the Transformers.

As of 6/11/10, the Lexington Wal-Mart Super Center has only one Deluxe figure (leaving approximately 8 pegs empty or void of any Deluxe figures) and only one Voyager figure - a green Megatron (leaving enough space for approximately 17 boxed Voyager figures to sit on the shelf). They finally got in some more Legends figures, but not very many, maybe a case worth. That only means that there's about 2 Legends figures on each of the pegs. I still don't know if they are unable to get any more of the ROTF figures, but the empty shelf and the empty pegs look bad on their part, regardless if it's a Hasbro problem of not shipping anymore ROTF out to the Wal-Mart stores' warehouses. I can't help but wonder if Hasbro expects these pegs and this shelf to remain empty until July/August, when the Hunt for the Decepticons and the Power Core Combiners lines come out and will most likely fill up the space.

By the way, I sent the Wal-Mart corporation a complaint e-mail concerning the lack of ROTF toys at the Lexington store a few weeks back, but I've not heard back from them.

However, the Thomasville Wal-Mart Super Center still has its nine pegs full of Deluxe figures and an endcap that still has at least 30 Deluxe figures as well. Unfortunately, there haven't been any sightings of the latest wave of Deluxe ROTF figures (Brawn, Ratchet, EVAC, Lockdown, Red Rampage, or Strike Mission Sideswipe) or Voyager ROTF figures (Defender Optimus Prime or Mindwipe).

Both Wal-Marts still have their Deluxe figures on Roll-Back to $9.00 and their Star Wars action figures on Roll-Back to $4.50 (which neither store seems to be able to get anymore in stock of either).

No response from my e-mail to the Wal-Mart corporation or to the Lexington Store that I sent them nearly a month ago.

I'd all but given up on the Lexington Wal-Mart, so it's been at least two weeks since I checked their Transformers section in the toy department. I was, however, there last night and you can imagine my surprise when I saw four Deluxe Ratchets and three Deluxe Brawns. I suspect they received approximately two cases late last week or this past weekend and these are all that are left of those two cases. Of course, I already have the four main Deluxe figures that came in this wave as I bought them over a month ago. As long as it took for this Wal-Mart to get in a new shipment, I suspect that these cases didn't come with Deluxe EVAC or Deluxe (red) Rampage. But now I know that I need to return to checking on this location a little more routinely.

Still no new wave Voyager Class figures of Mindwipe or Defender Optimus Prime on the shelf, though I already have a Mindwipe. In fact, this particular Wal-mart is stocking that Bumblebee costume-type thing on the shelf instead.

Toys r us In Cary NC had 3 Animated Arcees, and Several Pegwarming Animated Ratchets

The Arcees are kinda behind a pole at the front of one of the isles and I missed them several times... but they are there.

The warehouse that supplies Transformers to the Wal-Mart store in Lexington must be clearing out all their ROTF toys. That store finally has Deluxe figures filling its pegs, unfortunately it's of one of the older wave cases. It's the wave that contains one Armorhide, one Autobot Gears, two Dirge, two Alliance Bumblebee, and two Tuner Mudflap. This store still has a few Scouts leftover, but not many. Aside from several boxes of the Bumblebee kids' costumes cluttering the shelves, this store is virtually void of any ROTF toys.

Just found this post so forgive me for being late. But if you are in the Wilmington area as well as Jacksonville or anywhere remotley colse to those areas, there is a comic store here in Wilmington called Memory Lane Comics, these guys are wonderful and work well with actual collectors. They just got in a HUGE stock of transformers from all across the spectrum....even a "hopefully" complete Powermaster Optimus Prime!!! Please go by and take a look at their selection as they are the only comic store in Wilmington North Carolina that actually buys toys as well as sell them. If you need any more info on this place please hit me up with a PM or respond to this thread. These guys have hooked me up and my way of giving back to them is by getting them more customers. Thanks all the TF fanatics in NC!!!
Looking to acquire a complete set of the G1 Insecticons (Bombshell, Kickback, and Shrapnel). They dont have to be MISB, have the cards. The TRU re-issues are fine too. The only person that can verify my buying status is CounterPunch as he is the only person I have purchased from.

I just picked up a Deluxe Classic Blurr from Kmart in Wilmington, NC. They only had one in stock but I guess they finally made it to NC. It is an awesome piece and I recommend it to any collector.

I also agree with AutobotMR2. Check out Memory Lane Comics. I know they have an orginial Megatron in stock and some other great deals.

Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm new to Transformers collecting (about 2 months) and have been making regular rounds in the Clemmons, Winston-Salem, High-Point, Lexington area.

NOBODY HAS ANYTHING!!!!!! I'm looking for the Generation's stuff with Red Alert, Blurr, Cybertron Prime and the like. Has anyone seen anything OTHER THAN Prime, Bumblebee, Thrust, and Drift? Why are they not doing anything with this line?

The problem seems to be that the shelves are stuffed with crap nobody wants and they can't put anything else out. I see a ton of Sea Attack Ravage, Jetblade, Tuner Mudflap, Seaspray, and Night Ops Ratchet everywhere I go. Hopefully the christmas madness will get things moving.

I finally replied to your PM today on this subject. I'm telling you, check www.hasbrotoyshop.com for these items, though being this close to Christmas, the majority of these items are sold out. The same goes for the selection of Transformers on the www.walmart.com website as well. I've done site-to-store on many of those characters. I'm just waiting on the 2011 stuff to hit the sites now.

Okay, it's January 2011 and the Lexington and Thomasville Wal-Marts are changing their Toy Modular. Nothing new to report at the Lexington Wal-Mart yet, but Thomasville Wal-Mart actually had a few figures from 2011 Generations Series 1. I spotted a Red Alert, a Skullgrin, and a Dirge (of which I bought because this one had the triangle in the head piece on the Decepticon insignia whereas the first Generations Dirge I purchased did not have the triangle).

I did note that Wal-Mart is carrying a generic $10.00 transforming robot that is approximately Leader Class size or maybe a hair smaller. So far it looks like all the figures are land vehicles, mostly cars, with one being a bulldozer or something along those lines. I didn't buy one, so I'm not sure of the quality, but at $10.00 they quality can't be good. On the other hand, it's only $10.00.

Also a heads up guys. Start looking ar Target since those sightings have come up for Generations Scourge and Kup. I've also heard rumors that the RTS line with Perceptor and Wreck-Gar is out in stores too. Good hunting and I will post if anything comes up in the Wilmington area.

Hey guys! My wife and I just found Sergeant Kup and Scourge at Target in Wilmington on Market Street. They only had one of each so there are none left. They also had two Red Alerts there and Cybertron Megatron and a Cybertron Cliffjumper. They also had a Blurr and Cybertron Soundwave but I picked those two up also!

The good news is that Kup and Scourge have hit Wilmington, NC! Good luck and happy hunting!

Now it's February 2011 and still no new Transformers at my local Wal-Mart. I plan on hitting the Wal-Mart in Thomasville next week to see what they have on their pegs. But otherwise, I've pretty much given up hope on the Lexington location as I don't think they ever hired a new toy department manager after the last one they had quit years ago. Now I hear that instead of a department manager for each department, a department manager covers about two or three departments.

Anyway, like I said, I'd given up on this location and decided to just order the most recent Transformers releases from www.hasbrotoyshop.com. I may have to pay more, if only because of shipping costs, but at least I get the item. If I wait for this store to get new Transformers in, the line would be discontinued before I got all the figures.

You might want to check out Target, that is the only place that I have heard for finding the new line. I picked up all mine from Targets here in Wilmington and in Jacksonville, NC. Walmart is way behind the curve and need to pick it up. Maybe if they didn't have so many Mudflaps in stock they could update there layout!

Goodluck!

I've checked WM in Lex, both WInstons, Thomasville. Target in WS, and HP. Kmart in Thomasville and Peters creek WS one, TRU in Winston and no dice. Ive been hitting them hard the last two weeks.

The only thing I've noticed is more Blurrs have made it out.

Todd, you seem to have the same path as I do and that Lex WM is sad. There is a whole empty section. PM me if you see anything. I'm thinking any day now they will stock some new cases.

Anyway, like I said, I'd given up on this location and decided to just order the most recent Transformers releases from http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com. I may have to pay more, if only because of shipping costs, but at least I get the item. If I wait for this store to get new Transformers in, the line would be discontinued before I got all the figures.

Still no new Deluxe figures at the Wal-Marts in Lexington or in Thomasville. In fact, both stores have a section of pegs meant for Generations that are completely empty. And from what I've read from those of you that managed to hit other stores in the area, it's the same story. NOTHING! No new anything from any of the Classes.
