So Shockwave made Predaking. Nice!
I hope Dreadwing isn't dead...

I know. He's the only one missing from the group. :-(

So 1) The Decepticons are set up someplace pretty nice. Fits with the "Things won't end well for the Autobots" we've been hearing about.

And 2) Starscream seems to be permanently back in. Which ... god damn it. Hopefully the execution and consequences justify it, because I already fear they're going to go the way of MECH and the kids and just throw away a season's worth of build-up.

Overall a positive development, though. This series started with such promise, I'd really like to see some major development bring it out of its recent rut.

Probably Cybertron

We knew that Starscream was going to attempt to join the Decepticons, much to Dreadwing's dismay. We thought he was going to offer Red Energon, but since Starscream has an Omega Key, that will probably be what he offers to Megatron in hopes to regain his place in the ranks in return.

I hope this isn't why Dreadwing is missing. Either he's the captain of the Decepticon Outpost on Earth or Starscream killed him among other possibilities.

Looks cool!

People should keep in mind that this cooouuuuld be a flashback. It'd explain Shockwave's return, Starscream's presence and Dreadwing's absence.

Except in Episode 50, Starscream will attempt to re-join the Decepticons by bargaining one of the Omega Keys. That could explain Starscream's presence.

Shockwave was never officially killed off, and therefore his presence as a new member to the team is not off limits

However, I could deal with this scene being a flashback as to maybe how the Predacons ended up on Earth. Remember, the Rage of Dinobots comic bridges the 2nd and 3rd seasons. Just don't let the whole damn season be a flashback.

The flashback idea is a good one. If it's true, then it's a pretty clever move by Hasbro. Showing a look ahead clip that's actually from the past. I love the way Shockwave looks. Would love to have a Prime toy for him.

Meh....Now tell me how they're going to hide that from the humans... Does it transform into a Starbucks...

Seriously why so psyched?

The Autobots are going to miraculously kill at least one of these creatures per episode while still meeting their 20 to 30 Decepticon Drone quota at that...

Come on Hasbro give us another show already! Or at least some direct to video movies based off the IDW comics.

Why yes, isn't that obvious?

The Steven Melching interview said this show is gonna have a new setting for season 3. If it leaves Earth, no more disguises. If it doesn't, humanity's obviously gonna get a rude wake up call.

Anyone who's ever had a Cybertron Scourge knows that roar!
Bet they did it so it could be easily implemented into the toy ;)

It's a dead ringer.
Hell, the toy even has the hydra cannons that Cybertron Scourge had. He's Homaging scourge in like, 3 different ways. Maybe even more once we get robot mode pics.

Why would they make Prediking so big in the show. We all know the toy is not going to be at all close to this scale, so why not just make him the same size as Megatron. Plus if this takes place on Cybertron why did Shockwave bridge to where Megatron is.

Predaking has a Leader Class toy, not just a Voyager.

Because he's on a different side of Cybertron? Cybertron is a planet, not a little moon the size of a pebble where everyone is of walking distance.

I'm really surprised everyone's so worried about Dreadwing being dead. They've been hinting pretty strongly that he's going to pull a Dinobot at some point, what with Fowler's comments in 'Grill', and the interchange in 'Crossfire' and 'Triangulation'. And I could see Starscream's return, and Megatron reviving Cybertron in HIS image, (which looking at THIS trailer leads me to believe is the season 2 finale) as the things that might push him over to team Prime.

Interesting how after a long period (2005-now)excepting Animated where 'dead cybertron' was the norm, we're moving into an era where 'revived cybertron with issues' is status quo across continuities.

Given that they somewhat strongly implied the Dinobots are coming too, I am fairly certain that this season may kill me with nostalgia. Vehicle based Autobots and Decepticons, check. Animal based Predacons, check. Dinobots, possible check. Yup, my nostalgia gland is doomed. Definitely need to save up so I can buy a lot of these toys. That dragon looks pretty frickin awesome.

I like that Starscream is back with the Cons it seems, which is cool. I don't care for him to be on his own.

This all looks very interesting and i must be in a minority but i don't mind if Dreadwing takes a dirt nap to be honest. A LOT more Shockwave would be appreciated though

If you look closely at the group shot of the Decepticons, Megs still has his fusion cannon on his right arm. You can't see his right arm clearly in any shot, but that's the biggest piece of evidence for this being a flashback.
