Linkin Park has updated their homepage with official images of their upcoming exclusive gold G1 Soundwave repaint with cassettes Ravage, Ratbat, and Laserbeak. This set will be limited to 2000 pieces and sold through Linkin Park's SURU affiliate store and yet to revealed specialty shops. Images mirrored below.

Linkin Park and Hasbro are collaborating on a super-limited LINKIN PARK EDITION SOUNDWAVE. It's a new and exclusive model based on the original 1984 toy, the one I grew up playing with. It includes Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, and Ravage. There will only be 2000 units, available at SURU and comic/hobby shops.

The LINKIN PARK SOUNDWAVE will be available later this year.

They mixed up the Ratbat and Ravage accessories and reversed the Lazerbeak lasers. I didn't even know that was possible.

Would it be total trolling if they included Rumble and Frenzy in this set?

what a waste of plastic and those molds, and they didnt even care enough to make sure the cassettes had the correct weapons. This was half assed just as much as linkin parks horrible music. The thing that sucks the most is now Soundwave will forever be linked to this band, think i just died a little inside.

This would go well with the "Meister Gold Version" ehobby golden jazz toy. You could use them as the characters appeared in "The Golden Lagoon" episode of G1.

It looks like a bad custom. Anyone know the price tag on this out of morbid curiosity?

Yes, the stock photographer managed to get the accessories wrong and yes Linkin Parks music may not everyone’s cup of rosey lee but blimey guys, this is not the Hitler edition.

I may not have been a forumite for particularly long but some people on this forum get up in arms at the drop of a hat over the most ridiculous of things. I know it’s the internet and I know we are fandom but the amount of bile over this, the downsizing of deluxes or changing the name Motor Master to Motorbreath is just ridiculously childish; its not the worst thing to happen to anyone ever.

Not that i'll be buying it.

Ha ha. Yeah, I'm sure it's actually a mockup... not the actual item. When it comes out, I'm sure it will be real gold plastic... and look a little better.

At least it's unified in color scheme, which (being an artist) I have to say goes a long way. :^)

Seriously, I've seen much better gold versions of figures. I don't even like LP other than their songs for Bayverse and "In the End." I might get this if it's not expensive and I have extra cash. I'd have to see what it looks like in hand.

I think it looks decent enough if you can get past it being associated to Beiber Park, but only 2000 units...can you say expensive as fuhk? Wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if it was over $200.

Beiber Park? Come on now, that's not even right. Even if you don't like their sound, you can't deny Linkin Park has tons of talent. When was the last time a band made something like "Waiting for the end", with something like "Iridescent" or "The Messenger" on the same album?

If this isn't expensive, I'll be picking one up. Not only do I think it looks fine, but the fact that Mike Shinoda was involved makes me want it.

At least they can write their own music and play their own instruments and not rely on their looks and the stupidity of teenage females to buy their music.

Their previous album... Their **** all sounds like something they've already done. I bet their next TF is a silver Soundblaster...
