Ditto.
To hazard a guess, with Nissan on board, I'd say an Ironhide's on the way.
There's a potential four repaints right there.

Yes, MP Ironhide and Ratchet would be super sweet (especially since I didn't get the PP05 PE figures).

I'm guessing he's referring to the eHobby/Diaclone repaints (which would likely show up as exclusives just like Tigertracks did).

I decided to bite the bullet and order these two through hlj.com. Never bought anything from them before for two reasons; 1) don't get much in the way of Takara figures (except MP) 2) their site was a bitch to navigate.

The site seems to have been improved and for the first time something I searched for appeared  So made an account and pre-ordered (cancelling my BBTS pre-orders at the same time) and will most likely get Smokescreen from them if all goes well. Depending on how this goes I just might be getting all my MP's from them seeing as the shipping on one of these guys is a little less than the price difference for the imports U.S. retailers are charging.

I have the same concerns with HLJ. I realize the price might be cheaper, but I'm worried shipping will cost a lot more. I know that ehobbybaseshop and robotkingdom both have lower prices but their shipping costs are through the roof. Keep us updated with how much shipping is and how you like their customer service, etc. If you have a good experience, then I'll probably start importing from them. Hopefully it goes well!

But HLJ offers 3 different shipping options, and before I pre-ordered the Nissanbots yesterday I put a few in-stock Transformers in my cart to see what shipping to my state might cost.

$50 a pop, bro. Even if they'd charge the same shipping as BBTS, we're basically getting a 2 for 1 deal had we bought one off BBTS and paid their prices.

That's them. Red and White for the G1, Black for the Diaclone and Green, if they want to milk it some more and do the Movie homage ala Encore #5

If time isnt't a factor you can select SAL, it might take longer but you'll get it cheaper, but no tracking. Otherwise EMS is good enough.

I live in Europe so I'm used to international shipping costs and hlj has always been fair in that respect.

They look ok, not bad. But the colors of these two look kindof underwhelming. Add some more color to the robot mode. But they do really look like robots :)
I cant wait to see Smokescreen, I got him on preorder he might be one of the few figures I get this year. Only the best of the best.

And MP Sideswipe is Awwwsom. Easily in my Top 10.

Not complaining, but the 3 of them are smaller than I'd thought they'd be. They look Voyager-sized at the most, maybe not even that. They definitely look smaller than Alternator size.

I wonder how tall they will make ironhide ratchet now....

scale chart says right under Primes windshield... furthermore, a case could be made that they should be as tall as the head of MP-11 Starscream.

Either way they will tower over the Prowl and Sideswipe mold even though some scenes made them only slightly taller...

I still think Bluestreaks shoulder cannons are too chunky.....its cool but not accurate.

Now I've slept on this, I'm surprising myself in saying this, but Bluestreak is perfect, but Prowl has some niggles. First off the "PATOROL" typo. Considering they had the original artwork to work with, there is no excuse for that kind of "Japlish" typo. Secondly, Prowl's launchers. I can understand going with cartoon style cannons for Bluestreak, however with Prowl, they just look off. Besides, on Prowl, they're meant to be heat seeking missile launchers.

Honestly, considering that Bluestreak's launchers don't even work for Smokescreen in terms of show accuracy, I don't know why they didn't just bite the bullet and use the launchers they'd be uniquely sculpting for Smokescreen, as they're a much better fit for prowl.

As for accessories, half-net launcher and grappler attachment.

I wasn't able to get a shipping estimate with pre-orders, but did add a random toy that was about half the weight of one MP and ran a few numbers (which I've now forgotten #-o ) on the cheapest option and was pleasantly surprised. I feel that what I'm saving on one figure more than covers that and 2 - 3 (Hoping to get Smokescreen as well and ship all 3 together) with a better shipping option should be better than import prices from a U.S. retailer.

Remember that these will be shipping to Australia and I believe that will cause the costs to be similar to shipping from America, but I will let you know what it cost me.

If you stick everything in private warehouse and combine shipping, then I cant imagine you paying more than $40 in shipping for both MPs.

I'm going to assume the real reason why Takara went with cartoon-accurate shoulder missile launchers is because they're worked into the design and not just plug in the G1's did?

The more I look at them the more I dislike these launchers. It's so distracting from the character design. They've got this amazing robot body but these lame tubes next to the head. Really hope a 3rd party makes toy-accurate launchers.

The gun barrels aren't even cartoon accurate, they are way to big and fat... and the back base of the cannons don't look right because they built them into the transformation.

Whoa. I am impressed.

I really want to get into the Masterpiece line, but I'm rather strapped for cash after purchasing Robot Damashii Unit 00 (which should be arriving in a few weeks).

Prowl is great. Bluestreak is cool too, glad they made him accurate to the cartoon. Wish they'd given him some bigger shoulder cannons though. I wonder if they're to scale with the Alternators figures? I have a Silverstreak, and a Windcharger I need to either repair or replace. They would look great alongside the Masterpiece figures.

I'm definitely getting Soundwave at some point, probably getting at least 1 Seeker, probably getting Grimlock and Prime. Not sure about Megatron, hope they go down the Prime route and release an improved version.

I hope they do Hound. He was one of my favourites.

Delta, considering the quality issues with some people's MP Megs, they'll probably end up doing a new one at some point. Or they'll sure Toyworld and just re-release Hegemon.

I just preordered Prowl in addition to preordering Smokescreen last week. Now I have months to decide which one im going to get before they are released. I might go with Prowl even though I wasnt interested in him as much as I was in smokescreen becuase of his just black and white color but.

First off: Prowl is a more known character. Second: the toy its self is the first from that mold which is good. And finally: thinking about my collection. I dont have many black and white transformers and the only Prowl that I have is animated Prowl and that one is not even close to being good as this one.

Oh, after looking at the pics with mp prowl and sideswipe together he is actually starting to look better than swipe (in robot mode not car mode. Swipe's lambo alt mode is top-notch) cause swipe has that big chest and small feet which as Prowl has better robot proportions. And a normal sized chest and big robot feet. Prowl is a Grrreat toy mold.

They're much smaller in vehicle mode but could pass in robot mode as they're almost as tall. At least Sideswipe is, but it seems the Datsuns are going to be about the same height.

Takara Tomy staff designer Shogo Hasui continues to tease fans with a new Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl tweet. This images gives us a nice sense of the figure's scale with the previously released MP-12 Lambor plus Barricade and Jazz from the Human Alliance line. Check out the image mirrored below. MP-17 Prowl is set to release this summer.

Prowl seems a bit blocky but it fits for G1. I still want to get him for around $50 if I could seeing how these deluxe class sized MP transformers are cheaper than the more Leader Class sized ones.

Posting these next to the movie bots really shows how lifeless and same-ey they are. So much personality, visible car bits, expression in the face, vivid color... I'll take the G1 Masterpiece over the movie line any day. They look amazing.
