Hehe, I hear ya. I did preorder Sideswipe but didn't grab Red Alert until more recently (thank you ToyArena for still having him instock, saving me from the scalpers on ebay :D!).

Red Alert can still be found at reasonable prices, but there was one ebay crackhead selling customized versions in Stuntacon and G2 Sideswipe's colors for $600 each!!! They look great, but I could replace my iPad for that kind of money.

 true. Of course, I don't have an iPad and wouldn't spend that kind of money on any phone or Apple product (I'm a biased Windoze user though, even though Windows is no prize by any stretch of the imagination).

Anyway, yes, those customs would be quite nifty, but definitely not $600 nifty. I'm still hoping that Takara gets permission to produce more Lamborgini Countache MPs so that they can do more Sideswipes etc. for the collectors who haven't been able to snag one yet as well as the prospect of a full remold to make Sunstreaker.

It's not some lingering KayBee store down a dirt road in Saskatchewan. Anyone can get the launchers that wants them... just buy choosing in advance what store to get them from... or through someone chipping in to trade or such.

You want to talk upsetting exclusive issues... we can talk about previous years Botcon custom class figures. (Thank goodness they finally saw the light and started releasing the assembled toys to sell this year.)

It's more the choice of exclusive that's the issue. Surely say, Bluestreak's cartoon launchers or Prowl's energy net launcher could have been the exclusive parts instead.

SKYWARPED_128 wrote:Um, you lost me there. Shouldn't Prowl be the same case? Last time I checked, his release date is estimated to be June or July.

I was referring to the issues with him that left many people disappointed with him.

Each figure only comes with one rocket launcher. You have to buy both to have them displayed with one on each shoulder.

you are wrong my friend, they come as a pair... no ifs ands or butts about it. I think these should come with all of the figures, these are the accurate shoulder cannons, not the flip out things that look like cheap pipes. now takara has dropped the ball

damn i hate to admit it but i was wrong... and for the price of these and all the useless crap they throw in with other masterpieces, these not coming with them (or having to buy both to get 1 set) is pure highway robbery and poopy on Takaras part. if anything this promotion will not sell more units, it will probably make them sell less... as a fan i feel burned!!!!

Takara Tomy designer Shogo Hasui has tweeted a couple of new images of the Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl and MP-18 Bluestreak. The pair looking great together in robot mode, and the second images shows off some of their impressive poseability. Images mirrored below.

I cant help but notice that their fists seem to be roughly as large as their heads, if not bigger.

Does it really matter? Plenty of TF toys have hands bigger than their heads.

No, it doesn't matter at all. It just jumped out at me.

The more I see of Prowl the more I love him. Depending on the hasbro release price point this might be a christmas present for a friend of mine, fellow tf fan who is a cop

I love how Streak's cannons are deployed while Prowl's are left tucked away.

Cartoon-accuracy, FTW. ;)^

AGREED! I've seen enough of this pair to convince me to buy them three times over. Now I want to see their mold mate.

And that said, I'd buy a Barricade decepticon repaint and a Blue bluestreak as well. Dead serious, Takara. Dead serious.

These area looking awesome. They look like test shots now, you can tell the fists and a few other parts are bare plastic rather than painted like the prototypes we saw earlier. Also note 'Patrol'. ;)

One thing I noticed though, the middle of Bluestreak's head crest is red. Wasn't like that in the cartoon or in previous pics... :BANG_HEAD: I hope they fix that before it's released.

I really hope they change their mind and include both toy accurate launchers, the cartoon launchers just look lazy and ridiculous.

Yeah, I'd love it if you could purchase launchers somehow. I'd prefer to have them in toy colors for both, even if I have to pay extra.

ALSO, I did find some odd pics of Bluestreak with a BIT of red between the crest, but MOST by far had gray in between. I'd MUCH much much much much prefer that. Solid red crest is way too Ratchet for my tastes.

The image in the thumbnail made them look like they had gimpy legs. :HEADHURTS:

They look really great. Hopefully we will get a stateside release of either one and Sideswipe.

of EITHER one... Hopefully we get the entire LINE over here. Picking and choosing with these is unacceptable, given what a perfect version of the original G1 lineup we're seeing out of them. I've had ZERO complaints from these cars, and very few about Soundwave, the jets, and prime.

Okay. My ONE huge complaint with the USA version of Prime is that I never saw one. Needz better distributions, plz.

That's because they're always produced in low numbers in the US and sold as store exclusives. Hasbro still doesn't believe there's a viable market for these 'adult collectibles' at mass retail.

Between that and how they invariably screw up the colors, I'm sticking with Takara regardless of cost.

How big do the Masterpiece figures (Specifically, the car-formers and the jet-formers) look next to, say, a standard Deluxe? As someone with very little shelf-space who doesn't segregate his figures by continuity (I'm still 8 years old at heart, despite being twice that) it would kinda be cool if they were well scaled with "regular" Transformers.

I understand this, but being through Toys R Us, a guy should be able to eventually find one... and/or get it on Ebay without the market drying up. I heard of stores getting a couple, then never again. Seeing them at $250-300 on eBay, they have to think there's a LITTLE bit more market than what they released. That's pitiful. Sheesh, put some up online or something.
