Why didn't they just name him Octane? Isn't that who he is suppose to be.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Aurax wrote:You know, I'm really excited for this line to resume (and continue), and I will be collecting the hell out of it. But you know what the first thing I noticed about the packaging was? The 2 letter S's. They aren't right.
On everything that's used that G1-style type face (back to the original TV series, comics and toylines), with the notable exception of the Dreamwave G1-era comics, the two instances of the letter S had different bottoms. The one in the first syllable has the tail of the S ending in a slant like a forward slash. The one in the final syllable has the S ending in a backward slash.
The new Universe packaging takes the easy way out. It's a minor thing in the end, as long as the product is good.
He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

which makes me think, if they don't have the rights to 'Octane', couldn't they have just pimped up the spelling, to something like "Oktayn" or "Ocktain". I dunno if that's a better idea, but it's another option.
I like the packaging better than the classics packaging. I think it's some of the best packaging Transformers've ever had.
