Man, that Mirage just looks too good.
I wasn't planning on getting any of these,
but I don't have the Hasbro version
I'll have to get this version.
Yeah, I'm a sucker for those chromed parts.

I have to agree about Mirage.

But otherwise it seems like Takara was lazy in painting these, normaly they are leaps and bounds over Hasbro, but this time...

Grimlock looks like he's wearing a chrome shirt in dino mode. Megatron is pretty sweet though.

I still think I'll just save my money for TF Animated stuff.

All i want is Megatron. Thats what the hasbro version should've looked like. I was planing on painting my KO Megatron to look like G1 Megatron but whats the point now.

*giggle@Mangafied Megatron* Optimus' head seems to look really tiny. Mirage does seem to look pretty damn sweet, tho. Again, no money to spend.

Is that manga in any part of the Japanese animated continuity? If so, when does it take place in the timeline?

While they all look better that their US counterparts, I don't think any except Megs (and maybe screamer) is THAT much better that I'd pay import prices.

And I like my repainted Megs just fine.

So these are exactly the same as the Classics I already have, except for a few chrome-painted details? I'll pass.

Mirage actually looks worse with that chrome spoiler. Why would a race car have a chrome spoiler? It looks silly.

Wouldn't it be great if this finally made people stop spouting the "Takara always do a better paint job" rubbish?

Anyhoo, I'm only seeing Megatron as an improvement on the Hasbro version, and I still don't like the mold, so meh. The rest of them are a little different, but I can't see anything that's a clear improvement on the originals or makes them worth buying again.
