I miss Locust and Halo.

Good times...

I don't think anything ever topped the World Domination thread. That was classic.

Yeah, I declared myself Emperor of Brazil, it was fun. Right up until someone--and I can't remember who for the life of me--started messing with things. Then we had to start implementing rules and it all sort of fell apart.

Sounds about right. It was fun when we all just were goofing around. Not taking things seriously.

And this is why "Sorry" is our national motto.

Then again, we also gave the world poutine and Tim Horton's. A little gratitude every now and then wouldn't hurt you know. [-(

Very. I do live in the United States, but have not a single drop of British ancestry.

You nourish your self-gratification through the misery of others. 8-)

I don't despise you.

So, the rest of you old farts. Nostalgia time.

When was your very 1st date ever and where did you take her/him? Did your/his/her parents drive you?

What did you do/get for your 16th birthday?

Can you remember how much fuel cost per gallon when you pumped it into your very own car for the 1st time?

March of 1996, fuel was $0.79 a gallon. Oh, how I miss it. I got a car for my 16th bday, it was a 1984 gold Chrysler LeBaron. I miss it.

My first date was to see the movie "Powder" and we are at TGIFridays. Her little sister and her little sisters friend had to come with us.

I had to think about this.

First date was probably to a mall. And a in a group with a friends. I was a freshman in high school. Yeah mom drove us.

I guess turning 16 wasn't a huge deal. I can't even remember there being a party.

My first car I paid for myself. 1984 Plymouth reliant 5 speed manual station wagon. Cost me $200, a battery, and a new tire. I believe gas was $0.85 In Los Angeles county back then.

That was my 1st car as well! Except mine was black. Bought it from a "friend" for $400. He could barely get it started to drive it over to my house. But once I took care of the small problems it had, it was a nice ride. I got it in January 1999.
