Out of the Chaos

This is a tournament I thought up after the hurricane hit. I was hoping to have four parts for it but due to lack of participation in the Maximal forums I hadn't proceded any further with the tournament.

1st Part: Find Your Friends and Survive
2nd Part: Get Back to Cybertron
3rd Part: Establish Territory
4th Part: Eradicate The Enemy

The first part I had written up (below). The second part would have made a "path" of missions to win and survive to find the way back to Cybertron. The third part would have established different territories with different missions for each team to gain x number of mission victories. The last part would have given a kill total for each team to achieve. I don't know how well it would go over now with the hurricane long gone. Feel free to shred it up and make it how you would do it.

OUT OF THE CHAOS -- PART 1

Drifting through the abyssal blackness of space and time, Mogwai Prime could only think of how bad the swirling singularity's destruction had been. He had heard the warnings broadcast that it had been detected and was on a path to intercept Seibertron, but he hadn't thought it would be there so fast.

"Is an ... kshhhhht ... ne out ... kssshht ... here?" came a voice over his reciever repeatedly.

But, he could not answer. His transmitter had been damaged during the event. He had come out of the event better than he thought. He could still transform into his Liger form, but without his dragon to move through space he was useless.

Mogwai couldn't believe his luck in surviving the passing of the singularity. It had wrought so much destruction on it's path to Seiberton. He could still remember the screams of bots that were ripped apart over the radios as he and the other Dragonriders attemped to escaped the destruction.

The singularity had seemingly come out of nowhere. He and the rest of the Dragonriders had tried as hard as they could to escape it, but it came too fast. All Mogwai could remember before being pulled in was seeing Seibertron's distorted shape stretching towards the singularity. He could remember bots being plucked off like dust particles in a vacuum. Then it all went black as he was pulled in himself.

When he came back online he was here drifting in the shifting darkness. He had seen other bots drifting by some were still online and others that were now just space junk. If only he could find one of the dragons, he could start trying to figure out how to find everyone else. Then he saw him, Jante, drifting out about half a kilometer too his left. He grabbed the Null Ray Rifle he grabbed as it drifted by earlier and fired a signal shot just in front of Jante. He could see Jante's thrusters fire up and turn towards him.

As soon as Jante arrived, Mogwai grabbed the handle on the saddle and pulled himself to his seat. He was glad the interfaces still funtioned as he linked up with his dragon. Jante began communicating his system check to Mogwai. Jante's radio was completely out of commission as were his sensors. "Well old friend lets see if anyone else made it through the eye of the storm!" Mogwai communicated as Jante banked and jetted off.

The hurricane hit and there was a reset of the game back at the beginning of October. I just cut and pasted from the thread I did back then. And, It was only posted in the Maximal forum. There were plenty of full faction tournaments going at the time and I didn't feel like bothering the GD with another tournament. But, with the new Tournament forum I can drop it in here and let others mess with it and see if they like the idea.

I was interested a month ago(and sadly i think one of the only 2 or three that were) and still am today.

Only thing i wonder now though, would energon prizes go up a bit since it's been over a month and theres more energon to give out. And the thing with the energon payouts if it is open to all four factions, you would probably need someone from each faction willing to pass out the rewards(if the cross faction payment like being looked into in the scalp thread doesn't pan out)

*Kicks Fuzzy in the nuts*

Now that Pred / Max diplomacy is established - would the Maximals as a whole prefer an isolated tournament or one against the Preds?

Absolute Zero and others have been working on a story and tournament setup which would be Squishy against Fuzzy. Could be a nice stepping stone for the first post-reset 4-faction tournament - but can't go forward unless Maximals are also interested (and participating in the setup). So, you in?

Mogwai, if there's interst for the joint tournament I'd want to work together to make sure that and this story is compatible - the teamwork angle to restart things is a great idea. Your furr-covered frames would still get plastered though, even if you were operating in pairs :P

Devil Prime - nice - glad I looked that up.

Already happened. It was also the last pre-reset tournie. It kinda got carried over, and the cons comfortably overtook the preds, andthe other two factions got well and truly elinimated.

WTF are you on about.

The first POST HURRICANE IKE RESET and last PRE HURRICANE IKE RESET 4 faction tourniment was the 5 armies tournient.

ALL those tournies you mentioned were before that.

Last time I ask THAT question.

At least you have a valid excuse. Let's see what Feckless's is for missing a whole post.

And, at least I know I'm not a total goob and there hasn't yet been a 4-faction tournament since the hurricane.

okasy boys, we're all drunk, and spamming now, and as much as the imagew of psychout turning on his computer come monday morning and that little vein on the side of his head swelling warms the cockles of my heart, lets get back on topic.

Good question; will the bounty hunting trials cause conflict? Given that conversation started first and has clear community desire it should take priority.

The fuzz-butts idea (Out of the Chaos, this thread) can happen anytime - it's Maximal only as originally written. However, if the Pred/Max tourney Absolute Zero originally posted will be run then I'd like to synchronize the stories.

For the Pred/Max there are some significant story and execution details which I'd like to have some response to before someone says "Go fight!" Otherwise it can be scheduled (around other conflicts like the bounty hunter initiation).

It can be run anytime, it's not designed only for Maximals. I threw it in here as an idea that I had in the past that maybe you guys could chew on and make it gamewide for all factions. I wish I could run it now but I'm busier than a cat trying to bury a turd on a frozen pond right now with my workload.
