Did anybody else receive the Polaris head and gun set for Arcee? If so, what are your thoughts?

I recently received the kit and have mixed feelings about it. It's definitely not up to the fit-and-finish of the iGear Kup. Also, I needed to apply glue to the ball-joint connection piece at the base of Arcee's head to get the head to stay attached to Arcee's neck. Nonetheless, the Polaris set does help Arcee look less Animated and fit-in better with CHUG TFs.

I was able to pick up uuser's idw arcee head and guns. I didn't want the polaris kit, something was off about it.

Sorry to say, but that Polaris head is hideous. Where'd the IDW head come from though? That actually doesn't look half bad...

As much as I love seibs, I think most customizers post over at tfw. Their radicons section is loaded with ppl's custom project for sale. Uuser created this head and gun set for sale at the beginning of this year. He may still have some for sale. Gotta stay on top on info at their radicon section or you may miss out on some good customs like the junkion set. Here is another pic, this one ain't sideways like the above pic.

i just got this set in the other day and while i think the head needs some paint, the sculpt isnt as bad as people make it out to be. only real downside is that the guns have the same problem as the swords arcee came with, they go in really tight and put a lot of stress on her hands and thumbs. had to file them down a bit to get them in safely. the head can be attached and removed with ease and when on shows no sign of falling off on its own. while i cant say its worth the price asked for it i can say it is a nice set.

also worth noting that a G1esc paintjob on the figure helps the heads look quite a bit, ill post more shots after i repaint the head with more proper colors

Honestly, I can't get behind either of those. The Polaris kit gives her a overly long neck and fairly poor face. The uuser stuff looks so much nicer but it's still Animated Arcee to me. She simply has guns a smaller head now. I'm gonna be picking up the Delicate Warrior for my own Classics display. In my opinion, she's easily the best offering yet. Although, probably the most expensive as well. Really crossing my fingers that Hasbro has an announcement for her at Botcon.
