I think you have him confused with Cybertron Defense Red Alert.

I just recently realized that CW Leader Megatron borrowed his arm/shoulder/turret transformation from CD Scattorshot. Scattorshot actually does it better though.
Cybertron had some cool innovations.

Cyb. Scattershot is a succinct little brick, looks awesome, has vehicle functionality, great gimmicks, and Cobro's right, he did the turret thing way better - like miles better - than gen leader megs.

Also, where's my mate Undermine?

There are only 30 spots, if enough people say they want him (you would need more than 5 at this point) then he can be up for consideration when counting the poll. So far, there arent enough people saying that there are less than 10 figures in the line that are better than him. He could always pop up in another list.

How does Cybertron Defense Scattershot do the turret thing better than Megs? Image

I guess I'm not seeing the similarity to CW Megs. Plus, CW Megs has a swiveling turret..

That said, I did have the Universe repaint (I think) of the CD Scattershot mold, and it was a very cool mold to play with. It seemed to have surprising articulation in robot mode for such large arm pods. But I don't remember any turret rotation... Maybe I'm missing the point here? :-?

Did you not try to spin his turret Image

He basically has both shoulders (and head for that matter) on a turret that can spin 360 degrees unrestricted while his shoulders still look normal in bot mode, the turret is the brown disc on his back:

Alas, the only actual Cybertron toy I own- Dark Scorponok (who is awesome) isn't on the list. However, I do own Universe Dropshot (currently in the process of being customized into Megatron) and I love that mold so much. Good, solid construction, good articulation, excellent sculpted detail, a great vehicle mode and a nice headsculpt. The Cyber Key features are cool as hell too. Also the rotating missile pod is excellently done and knocks Leader Megatron's turret mechanism into a cocked hat.

Because he wasnt an original mold in this line. The poll can only go up to 30, had to make concessions.

Only five choices? It was hard to whittle down.

Vector Prime is probably tops for me out of the line. Give it a waist joint and it's another one of those "I don't know how else this could really be improved" kind of toys. The Takara deco is gorgeous to look at, but I definitely appreciate the Hasbro take on it as well. The Universe 2.0 "Last Autobot" version is also a big home run.

Leader Megatron is an all time great in the entire Transformers line, imo. Three fun modes and outside of some ankle rockers and unfortunate safety-plastic, it's hard to find a flaw.

I also voted for Menasor because you people don't know a good thing when it stares at you in the face with its glorious drill and dumb alt mode and super cool Mini-con that stops just short of homaging freaking Victory's Brainmasters :michaelbay:

Scotty, You're right. Despite his "pile of what?" alt mode, Menasor is awesome. That bot mode is all kinds of scary evil.

@ Everbody/anybody - all this talk of Scattershot has me searching. I have a Con repaint of him that was released as a movie toy, and maybe a TRU exclusive. I know I found him in the galleries before, but now I can't remember where. anybody remember his name and/or what line he was released in?

Edit: Never mind y'all. It is Dropshot that Delta Mags mentioned earlier. I was thinking there was one other repaint, but that's him. :D

Scattershot, Dropshot in the back, Overload on the right. Who is the grey and white version?

And in all this mold's awesomeness saucemness, nobody mentioned how cool his head sculpt is with those sweet goggles. 8-) Be even cooler if they could slide down over his eyes.

Thats cool, but I dont think it beats HotShot's headsculpt which has a clear plastic visor resting atop his head as well. I just love how it evokes such iconic autobot themes yet is fully new all the same. Its my favourite headsculpt of all time, I think.

Pretty sure the grey/white one is a botcon exclusive, came out alongside the repian of energon landmine.

Oh sure Hot Shot's head is classic. Honestly, the line consistently produced some of the best head sculpts the franchise has ever seen. In fact it produced some of my all time favorite over all robot designs, ever.

Two of my six votes (only six because we talk about FAVORITES) are Evac and Defence Scattorshot. But I don't own these figures. Rather, I own Botcon Shattered Glass Galvatron and Universe Dropshot. Those two are among my favorite transformers and proves how great the molds are.

Appart the obvious Optimus and Primus, another one I do own and voted for is Defence Red alert. I actually bought two. One to keep as is and another one to customise into CYBERTRON DOUBLE DEALER. ;)

I love that bot mode, and anybody with a weapon that can act like bow wins in my book. I'm just not familiar with his alt mode because the Ratbat version I have came with two left hips, and can't transform. :BANG_HEAD:

Kanrab - probably 65% of my Cybertron collection is comprised of repaints, and I like it that way. I see no problem casting your votes based on the molds versus the characters. I did.
