Thanatos - Bridge

By the look on Motormaster's face, he could have as well been roaring 'The slag you are sitting still and rolling your thumbs?! Shockwave gave you an order!' to the various Decepticons that had positioned themselves around the command stations of the massive battlecruiser's bridge. Still, the notorious Decepticon held his tongue for Thanatos was now under Shockwave's command and the ancient mechanoid was not known for his patience towards those under his command. And despite his fearsome reputation, Motormaster did not wish to test Shockwave's patience towards him just yet. After all, by the looks of it he was going to spend far longer time than he would have liked to serving under direct command of the military operations commander and on an infiltration mission. Indeed, near future did not look all that enjoyable from Motormaster's perspective.

OOC: Just to clarify, me and Axiom are corresponding behind the scenes, so if it looks like we're calling hits on each other, it's something we've sorted out already.

Skies over Polyhex

"If you can't live in a world of peace, then you'll be consumed in the war you love so UGH!!" Bravo stuttered as the very last of Turbulence's torque rounds grazed his cockpit. The split second of confusion as his sensors realigned was enough for the Seeker to tackle him.

Recovering more quickly this time, Bravo took stock. Don't panic, he seems to be going for showy. I can do showy. Bravo twisted, fired off a thruster to get a better angle. A leg emerged, then the arms. Finishing his transformation but still tight in the much stronger Seeker's grip, Bravo completed the last step: Deploying his bonded bladed, which flewfrom the holster in his back to an awkwarly placed hand as surely as a beam of light.

"Why wait...for the landing?" Bravo found purchase and swung his blade into Turbulence's wing and jet assembly.

Shockwave's Tower--Cryostasis Chambers

As if a switch had simply been flipped, Sunstorm's processing capacities went from simply reviewing archived data to actively analyzing his current surroundings. As the chamber completes its final reactivation protocols--protocols that had been engaged from some distance away--Sunstorm registered the audible hiss as an assortment of wires and tubings were disconnected from his body. In additional, the pinkish-purple fluid that had filled the chmaber quickly drained allowing the Seeker's optics to visualize his surroundings in their standard color scheme.

Sunstorm emerged from the chamber, wiping some of the excess fluid from his arms as an image of his Commander appeared on a screen nearby.

"Reactivation completed. You are to resume primary operational functions immediately."

"Am I to join you, Commander?" Sunstorm asked as he fell to one knee, respectfully.

"Negative. You will find all of the necessary tactical summaries within your authorized mission log. Fullfill them as directed. I will be...occupied...elsewhere."

At this news, Sunstorm looked up. He did not like the sound of this. There were two mechanoids on Cybertron whom he respected more than any others: Megatron, for giving him new purpose...and Shockwave, for giving him new means to carry out said purpose. To have one--or possibly both--of them leave was a most disconcerting reality. Still, he would fulfill his duty as it was commanded to him.

"Understood, Commander Shockwave. For the glory of god-emperor Megatron!" Sunstorm exclaimed, having risen to his feet. Shockwave's sole optic flickered almost unnoticeably before the transmission faded altogether. Not wasting a moment's time, Sunstorm left the cryostasis chambers in search of the command center. He would carry out the will of the Decepticon command, whatever it might be.

Thanatos--Bridge

It took some time for all of the ships varied readings to begin displaying the requisite information needed to undergo a successful launch of this nature. Once they had, Reflector took it upon himself to activate the final sequences.

"Engaging launch protocols," the Decepticon trio reported as a tremor reverberated throughout the entirety of the vessel.

"Commencing."

And with that, the Thanatos began its slow and steady progress in to the surrounding airspace.

Shockwave's Tower--Command Center

The Decepticon Air Commandant had only recently learned of his assumption of command responsibilities for the area, due to Shockwave's transference to another assignment. Cyclonus did not give the matter much additional thought. These were violent times for the Decepticons, but also times where great progress could be made. He would play his part to see it done.

Using his new command codes, Cyclonus entered the spacious control room where the Military Operations Commander had performed the majority of his function over the vorns. Contacting Megatron from here would indeed be much more secure than anything he might attempt on his own. He was subtle, yes, but he was no Soundwave when it came to the creation and manipulation of encrypted frequencies. Better to use preestablished links that had been created for exactly that purpose. Whatever the consequences, the Decepticon Leader needed to be informed of what Thundercracker and the others had observed.

>>"Lord Megatron, I come to you with new information. It appears as though Thundercracker has registered an inordinate amount of Autobot activity in and around the boundaries of Iacon. The most recent field report indicated that it was a large craft. It's apparent destination--Nova Cronum. Pending further orders, I have given them instructions to track the vehicle but remain out of Autobot airspace."<<

As was standard when a subordinate was contacting a superior, Cyclonus left the channel open for Megatron to respond or ignore as he wished. It was then that he noticed another priority message had been transmitted to Polyhex's internal servers. It was a personnel transfer of some significance. The importance of Polyhex in the overall Decepticon strategem was clearly decreasing. How that would ultimately play out was unknown to him, but he would follow through unquestioningly. It was his duty.

Cyclonus activated commlinks directly with each of the individuals that had been listed on the personnel transfer report.

>>"Combaticons--Bludgeon--Rampage...it has been ordered by Megatron that you are to proceed to the Tagan Heights, wherein you will be placed under the command of Roadblock. Further orders will be given upon arrival. Your respective service records here were of the quality I have come to expect. Cyclonus out."<<

Cyclonus then opened one final link after closing out the last, confirming with the Ground Forces Commander that the moves were in progress.

>>"Transfer request received. Requested forces will be en route within five breems."<<

Formalities handled, the Air Commandant waited patiently for Megatron's response.

Weapon: Energo-Sword
Message from Megatron to Cyclonus

>>”Continue monitoring the vessel. I have reason to suspect it will be leaving the planet it. I want to know when this happens.”<<

Message from Megatron to Shockwave

>>”I am sure you are already aware of the Autobot vessel flying towards Nova Cronum. We must assume this is the counterpart to your mission. Avoid direct combat with the Autobot vessel and use stealth systems to avoid detection by both the Autobots and the natives of the target planet.”<<

Thanatos – Bridge

Darkwing and Dreadwind were exactly enthused at the sound of a possible battle with Autobots. Surely some suicidal Autobot would make a run at the ship’s bridge, unleashing a barrage of fire that would be just enough to slag the both of them. They were going to have to be at their best to survive the launch.

Darkwing tapped in a series of commands into his console. “Weapons are hot and targeting scanners are online. No Autobots in range yet.”

Dreadwind chimed in with his own report. “Defensive screens are fully powered up and activated.”

At the very least that suicidal Autobot was going to have to do some work to take the two of them down.

Shockwave's Tower – Arena

Hun-Grrr snickered. “I don’t see any Autobots around here to fight. Not too many real Cons either.” The few Decepticons left watching the match weren’t exactly the best of the best. A few scattered Seekers and Sweeps and a few random other Decepticons. Basically the leftovers. Everyone else was out on patrol or on assignment elsewhere. Polyhex was quickly becoming a bit of a backwater now.

As if confirming his thoughts the new orders came down from Cyclonus. He frowned as his name was mentioned among those being transferred. The Tagan Heights was where the action was now and the energon. Everything he really wanted was there, and yet here he was, stuck with the losers. He would just have to make the best out of a bad situation.

“Ah look, Bludgeon has to be leaving. Now maybe one of you wannabes can step into the arena with me, unless you’d rather watch me humiliate your boss in front of you?” He smirked down at the two Corrupticons.

Thanatos – Bridge

Skyjack's disposition got a little more uneasy upon hearing about the autobot warship. the scans showed it was more than a match for the Thanatos, and could possibly do a number on the aged battleship. he kept issuing scans. Fortunatly, the scans showed that the ship was unaware of the Thanatos, or the Autobots at all. It looked like Primus was on their side. Or Unicron, at least. He reported his findings to Shockwave. "They haven't found us out yet sir. A little more luck, and we just may be able to keep it that way. Hopefully, the seekers can buy us some time."

The Skies of Polyhex ~ Near Nova Cronum

Pain pierced Turbulence's processor as Bravo brandished his blade and began to embed it into the seeker's side. Without his own weapon ready it was all he could do to release the Autobot. He'ld have to manage his own landing in Decepticon territory amidst a devastated city block.

"Peace is an ideal that is long dead."

Turbulence remembered well the words spoken by his reformatter. It was the betrayal by the High Council of Autobots that forced Megatron's hand so long ago. Or so he was told.

We've tried things their way; now it is time for our way. Decepticons will not be the second class citizens of Cybertron, not when we can be the next great empire of the galaxy.

The cobalt and bronze warrior slowed his decent with internal flight module, leg thrusters, and then the better half of an unstable roof top. Battered but unbroken Turbulence charged in the direction of Bravo, drawing his sonic sword.

"And so blows the wind of war ...Autobot."

Had Turbulence not been so easily drawn into single battle, his fellow seekers might have finished his foe long ago. It would only be a matter of time before the Autobot force were able to return the favor.

Shockwave's Tower – ‘Arena’

Bludgeon's reflexes and improvisation-skills were quite impressive. The Master of Metallikato had managed to counter despite him being wounded just an astrosecond earlier.

Bane was not exactly out of balance, but in his current stature he had relative limited mobility and Bludgeon had foreseen that. The blade vibrated a bit as it struggled through the initial layer of Bane's armored shoulder plate. After countless battles and even more arena matches, Bane's instincts was attuned to combat, and both his body and mind reacted in perfect synchronization as he used his free hand to stop the blade with his claws. Popping up from between his knockles, the claws haltered the blades course and locked it before it could hit the pressure point, which Bane had figured had been Bludgeon's aim.

"Impressive" Bane's voice was disturbingly calm, though somehow still wild".. but futile" and kicked towards the neck/head section of his opponent, while using his strenght to try keep the blade locked with his claws.

(OOC: I'll be out of town the next 2 days, don't do anything Bane would do :P )

Shockwave's Tower – Arena

Rampage huffed a little annoyed to start with util he realised what going to the tagan heights just might mean. Nodding to himself the predacon made ready to leave. He would wait for the Combaticons present along with Bludgeon after all a larger group may attract more attention and therefore he may get to deal with some autobots. Or failing that he could just watch the various mechs to acheive some sense of amusement. Well given his psycopathic tendancies he also needed someone who could watch his back incase he over did it.

Shockwave's Tower -'Arena'

Bane was good and this would prove a tough battle.
Bane's blows would each be crippling but Bludgeon was quicker in reflexes and agility and would exploit that. Against what seemed common sense, Bludgeon let go of his sword and twirled away using his fingertips to lash out at specific pressure points using the technique of Metalikato... the precize application of blows on structural weakness. Twirling around him, he arrived behind him and prepared to deliver a powerful blow.
"The sword is a valuable and ideological extension of my arm... but I am the weapon in the end" Bludgeon said. If Bane expected him to go out just because he lost his sword than he was in for a rude awakening. He suddenly jumped up and performed a fierce high kick.

It was then Bludgeon's comm activated.
Cyclonus out."<<
Bludgeon landed in a crouch and looked at Bane. "A shame" he said.
He bowed lightly but his eyes remained fixed on Bane.
"It seems i shall be leaving..." the Master of Metalikato said "Your performance was most admirable... congratulations" Bludgeon stated with his low grim voice. Recovering his blade he then made his way out. Duty called and he was not one to leave orders unanswered.
His mind was still spinning from Bane's fierce hit though.
The mass of onlookers stepped asside to let the Master pass.

The Military Operations Commander had not been presuming to engage any of the detected Autobots in battle, but he understood that there were some within their ranks who might take extraordinary efforts to initiate some form of skirmish. Such mechanoids would be kept under the closest scrutiny in this scenario. Mission parameters needed to be upheld in order for the mission as a whole to achieve maximum benefit.

"With each passing moment the probability increases that the Autobots will have other matters upon which to focus the majority of their attention. Our departure should remain inconsequential," Shockwave responded to Skyjack's latest field report.
___

Shockwave's Tower--Command Center

>>"It will be done, Lord Megatron,"<< Cyclonus responded dutifully before reestablishing his link with the Seeker.

>>"Thundercracker, inform me immediately when the vessel your unit is tracking has left Cybertronian airspace.<<

Cyclonus himself continued to watch and observe all information and intelligence coming in. Whenever the aerial forces under his command were in the field, he preferred to at least be kept informed of as much as possible if he could not be in the field himself, carrying out Megatron's will.

Polyhex - Near Iacon and Nova Cronum Borders

Bravo wanted rather badly to come up with a response to Turbulences comments about peace, but he was a little busy falling. With no time to transform and land properly, Bravo used his thrusters as well as he could to slow down. Too late, the minibot bounced off a ruined spur of iron, but the impact was enough to slow him, and with some more thrusts and a backflip he landed on his feet.
Shame that I think I've busted a back support. Aaargh!
Seeing Turbulence coming at him once again, Bravo realised he didn't have time for pain right now. Brandishing his blade, he countercharged the Seeker, and leapt into the air, angling for a decapitating strike.
"The only wind that's going to blow is the one through the holes I'll leave in your aft!!!"

Shockwaves Tower - 'Arena'

Swindle was slightly taken aback by the news of his new deployment. He hadn't expected things to change here so soon: He'd been trying to get something good going here, build up some stocks of merchandise, make a few customers like Warthog and Firebat, and now he'd have to start over. Oh well, best to look on it as a fresh oppurtunity.
Tagan Hieghts...haven't been there in ages. Hope those stashes I left round the place are still there, I need to get my supply network up and running again quickly.
But wait, what about the fight?
Swindle looked back at the duel still taking place in the middle of the room. Bludgeon appeared to have been disarmed, but was still fighting, although quite what he hoped to achieve by poking at Bane with his bare fingers Swindle could not say. This looked bad for Swindle's bet.
Swindle gave a sideways glance at Onslaught, who was still embroiled in the argument between Hun-Grr and the Corrupticons. The tone of conversation seemed to be brasher than before, the Terrorcon leader in particular being especially boastful. This might be a help, if Onslaught was preoccupied then, well, Swindle couldn't leave before his team leader, could he?
Then Bludgeon walked past him. It took Swindle half a klik to process this, but the Electric Warrior had recieved his orders too, and was heading out of the training room. The fight was over. All bets are off. Phew.

Medbay

Blackguards fingers clenched and unclenched. The reattachment had gone smoothly, as had the sharpening of his beaten-up spikes, but still Blackguard felt...numb. Was it some toxin that Bane had coated his blades in, or was it a simple matter of the Sweep Knights own dissapointment in himself? In any case, remaining here would achieve nothing. Blackguard checked his equipment one last time, patted his sword, and strode out of the medbay, heading to the hangar.

Bludgeon escaped his blows, but if the smaller warrior thought he could outmaneuvre the Black Death himself, he would be up for a surprise. Retracting his claws, he kickflipped himself up in his full lenght avoiding the outlashes by mere centimeters. As the Master of Metallikato attacked with a high kick, Bane placed himself into a defensive stance, but his opponent cancelled and just landed again.

Something inside Bane wanted to attack and tear out the cyberspine from Bludgeon, but his more sane side took control for a brief moment and calculated that it would hurt the Corrupticon cause if one of the Empire's best warriors would be slain publically just after leaving for an assignment.

His skull-vizir transformed into the back and sides of his head, showing a handsome, yet disturbingly smiling face staring at the back of Bludgeon as the Master of Metallikato moved out of sight.

Now he had to focus on the troublesome Terrorcon and his two fellow Corrupticons, who had entered an insulting contest with eachother. Bane wasn't interested in having to repair either of his troops and wasn't in a good enough medical situation to teach the savage Terrorcon some respect. He had to find another way to handle it. He saw that Swindle was still there, looking a little bit nervous or troubled as if he had realized that he had actually lost. Bane towered above the opportunistic yellow Combaticon and placed an open clawed palm before him.

"I believe you owe me some credits" Bane's voice outside the vizir did not have the hollow sound effects, but it was still as cold and grim.
"Bludgeon left the match, making me the winner" the Black Death made himself clear that he didn't accept a no or anything else than the credits.

Thanatos – Bridge

Blitzwing smirked at Dreadwind and Darkwing, whiny protoforms, he could see by their faces they were once again contemplating their own deaths. The purple triplechanger flipped a few switches layed out before him heating up the weapons grid. He turned his head the red of his optic visor glinting as he stared at his one eyed leader. Blowing something up would make his orn so much more pleasurable. If the Autobots had the same idea of leaving Cybertron wouldn’t the best move be to hit them now before they have a chance? He turned his optics on Starscream, would the loudmouth suggest a rash action or just sit there. Blitz was just itching to do something anything ………. Primus this would be a looooong trip.

Breakdown mumbled as he pressed the long range focus on the scanner. All this surveillance equipment, all those optics watching. Everything, every move he made could be watched. The stunticon shuddered, oh the horror! Swiftly he turned his head as Motormaster bellowed at the team. ~What the frag! They were at their stations punching buttons, what more did he want?~
There were times Breakdown believed that his boss yelled just for the sake of yelling…. Or he just liked to hear himself. If it wasn’t the yelling it was the sick pleasure he got from abusing the team. Sometimes Breakdown couldn’t blame Dead end for being so depressed. Who wouldn’t be, working with a jerk like Motormaster?

Rapture’s wing en-route

Ghost held formation awaiting Dunehopper to make his move. In the mean time the stealth seeker prepared to ambush the enemy again and again with approaches made from a different direction each time.

Skies over Polyhex- near border

Skywarp received Nightraid’s Transmission. It surprised him how the tacticians’ had done so discretely without a hint of malice or banter. Warp turned his attention to Turbulance situation. They were told not to enter Autobot airspace, they were also to monitor the movements of the ship, and primus forbid they engage it.
Warp looked again at the team of Autotrash. It was so tempting to just teleport behind them and shoot the bunch of them in the back. But that wouldn’t work with Nightraid’s suggestion. Frustrated Warp sighed and climbed higher.
>>Ok, Nightraid, Jadewind, Thundercracker, let’s try the delta formation and take them out.<<
Turbulence was engaged in a duel and from the look of it was in no position to join them.

Hun-grrr watched in amusement as Bane walked over to Swindle and declared himself the winner of the match. “Now I see how you Corrupticons brag about an unbeaten record. You just fight your opponents until they have something better to do and leave, then you declare yourself the winner. Between that and all of the third stringers you fought in the arena, its no wonder you are supposedly ‘unbeaten.’”

He stepped over to stand beside Swindle and in front of Bane. “You aren’t any winner, Bane. You and your troop of wannabes has done nothing but ride behind real warriors. You’ve skated along on a made up reputation in the arena when you didn’t fight in the main event. You and your team tried to copy Terrorcon alt modes in an attempt to cash in on our reputation. That’s been something I’ve been meaning to take care of for sometime, preferably by showing everyone what I think of your ‘perfect’ record in the arena.”

The Terrorcon commander examined the Corrupticon. “But first you should go get repaired. I don’t need to hear you saying you lost because you were already hurt. Maybe I’ll take on one of your little lackeys while you get fixed.”

Strike Team- En Route to the Tygus Span

Rapture let the communications chatter from the skirmish wash over her as her unit traveled. A part of her wished she could be there with Thundercracker and Skywarp. To fly with them again, as she had not so long ago in the battle with Omega Supreme. But the larger part of Soundwave's daughter knew that her friends' battle was incidental, while her own mission of was of import.

As usual with Rapture, practicality won out. She stopped monitoring the skirmish, and focused on the task at hand. Scenarios ran through her mind over and over. She needed to account for every variable. Run the numbers. The smoother this operation went, the better for the war effort.

Fortunately, thoroughness was a trait she had in full measure. They were almost there. The frontier was just a few kilometers ahead. Contacting her squadron, the midnight femme gave some last minute instructions.

>>"All right Decepticons. We're almost their door. Drop below radar level. From here on in, keep it under mach one-point-five. Direct-line laser communications only. Radio silence until further notice. Ghost, you're our optics, I want you out front half a kilometer. Once we reach the target zone, Dunehopper is on point. Good hunting. Rapture out."<<

The sleek interceptor rapidly fell out of the sky, leveling off extremely close to the hard deck. The kilometers rolled by, taking them into Autobot territory...

"So, the credits, Swindle" Bane was completely unaffected by Hun-Grr's failed try to both intimedate and provoke him. At the moment he was only interested in the credits as they had only been living on the salary given by the Empire ever since they ended their glorious careers to join Megatron's young uprising, and it wasn't much to be honest.

While showing total ignoration of the Terrorcan, the Black Death still listened in amusement when the Terrorcon once more mentioned the 'wannabe'-part. Fact was that the Corrupticons hadn't heard of the Terrorcons until the uprising became a fullblown war, and at that time they have had their alt-modes for over a hundred vorns. To tell the truth, the Terrorcon leader could have used the very same insults against the Predacons or the Seacons too, or the other way around. They were all of similar designs, one more wicked than the other perhaps, but still very similar.

The black Corrupticon stared at Swindle, smirking in a sadistic kind of way. One way or another, the Corrupticons will get what belongs to them and it would be in the Combaticon's interest to be cooperative.

"Affirmative sir. Taking up new position" Nightraid said calmly. It almost looked as if Nightraid would have said the same thing, on the same calm tone if Skywarp had ordered him to stop his engines. The formation did allow for an optimum offense and there was enough space between them all to avoid being damaged by the death of a comrade.

Shockwave's Tower -'Arena'

Rampage was about to leave when Bane started asking Swindle for credits. A brief look between the door and the small conflict convinced him to stay a little longer. Not quite stupid enough to try to break it up Rampage just observed for a while enjoying this as much as anyone could; or perhaps a little more since Ramapage's mentality meant that any fight inexplicably drew him towards it.

Unpredictable and rather insane the predacon was quite content with not being noticed by anyone around. After all he wasn't a talkative mech by nature. Still he was looking forward to going to the Tagan Heights after all there was much more likely going to be a battle there than here in Polyhex; but at the moment he was content in watching the corrupticons try to weedle credits out of Swindle.

He would leave soon of that he was certain if he wanted to get to his new posting but with the way things were right now unless he was directly ordered to leave he saw no reason why he shouldn't hang about and see how this little discussion turned out. Hopefully it might get interesting; then again with Onslaught around it was hightly unlikely that Swindle would push his luck.

Shockwaves Tower, Training Room

Swindle was, in general, something of a coward. In open battle he tended to slulk, waiting for isolated enemies to expose their backs, and then taking low-risk shots. He was slightly more confident when ordered to go raiding, but was meticulous in the extreme in figuring out every possible threat or source of error and planning for them ahead of time. So one could be forgiven for having a low opinion of his courage.
But there was one thing that Swindle would stand up for, and that was his wallet. His only vice was overpowering in this respect, to the point of recklessness. Vortex had once said that if Megatron was standing on a credit wafer, Swindle would try to throw the Emperor of Destruction to get at it. He wasn't far wrong.

"Well, first of all, Bane, it was Havok that made that wager with me, so technically if moneys were owed, it should be him that should be asking for them. If the 3 of you have some sort of money-sharing deal going on, then that's your business, but you shouldn't interfere with your partner's monetary dealings otherwise.
Secondly, as Hun-Grr here has quite rightly pointed out, the fight ended on a technicality due to outside forces, and as has been the procedure in every formal dueling establishment that I know of, that means that any monetary wagers placed on the fight are null and void. I don't care to debate whether you were the victor in a combat sense, I'm merely pointing out the traditional practices.
Finally, although I know you're an observant person, you may have missed the fact that I've just been given orders to depart the facility, by the Base Commander, under the authorisation of Megatron himself. Thus, I must give full priority to these orders at the expense of petty trivialties like recreational duelling. And of course, anyone impeding from completing my assigned duties would be guilty of Obstruction of a Fellow Decepticon About the Business of Megatron, and would be in trouble. So rather than inconvenience you gentlemechs anymore, I shall away, lest the wrath of the Slagmaker fall on me or those around me. Good Cycle!"

With this, Swindle turned and headed towards the door to the Hangar, only now realising what he'd just done.

"When it's about credits, he's suddenly the bravest of the brave" Bane was pretty amused by the sudden change in personality from the smaller Combaticon. Bane looked at Thrall and Havok with a big evil grin on his now exposed face. What the Corrupticons liked was mechs that stood up against those physically superior to themselves, as they did themselves. But unlike Swindle, they picked their fights carefully... maybe the yellow Combaticon should've done the same.

Bane let Swindle leave, for now, turned around, still ignoring the simple-minded Terrorcon, and left the other way, towards the Medic facility. Bludgeon had been a worthy opponent, though luck had smiled at the Master of Metallikato. If it hadn't been for their orders, Bane recogned he would've bested him. Maybe another time. Now he had to fix those wounds, as he had a feeling an assignment was coming their way soon. This hunch was also the reason Bane didn't bother interacting with Hun-Grr. The Terrorcon wasn't in the same league as Bludgeon, skill-wise, and Swindle had already left... no reason to start fighting over nothing.

<<"Thrall, Havok, time to synch">> Bane messaged his fellow Corrupticons. Noone in the Empire knew of the virus that raged inside each of the Corrupticons as Bane and Havok were the only ones who had ever repaired or updated their team.

Seeing the possible bloodshed as having been adverted Ramapge follows out after Swindle; oh well perhaps there'll be some Autobot's around on the way to the tagan heights. Silently Rampage ponders this though mildly annoyed that he'd wasted time for something that hadn't happened he got over it quickly. He could have waited around a little longer but he was pretty sure that all the fun was over for now. Which in his opinion was too bad; he'd been enjoying watching the fight, but since it was now over he's was back to being bored again.

The Skies of Polyhex

Scattershot figured he had Thundercracker dead to rights as he opened fire with his plasma cannon. He was a better than average shot, and from this distance he figured that the Decepticon would be unable to dodge in time. What Scattershot didn't realize was how much he had underestimated the vetern Seeker. Thundercracker had in fact been prepared for this encounter from the time he first spotted the Autobots on his radar and simply waited Scattershot out to make the first move.

>>Skywarp, get behind him and we'll one-two him like we always do.<<

Thundercracker accelerated and rolled up and out of the way of the oncoming blast from Scattershot's cannon. He leveled out and assessed the situation so he could get in behind his foe. Scattershot, meanwhile, was surprised by Thundercracker's display of agility. He tried to keep a bead on the blue Seeker as he climbed, but the Decepticon kept a tighter turn than Scattershot. The realization that the Seeker clearly outmatched him in maneuverability hit him like a shot of pure energon to his central processor.

I'll show that slaggin' Thundercracker who's the master of the skies!

It was plain to see that Scattershot was already having some trouble keeping up with his foe. Thundercracker knew that most Seekers were the fastest and most maneuverable combatants in the sky. That was the reason they had become indispensible to the Decepticon war effort. However, knowing that he had the edge in performance, Thundercracker was loathe to let that knowledge force him to be sloppy. He did not know this Autobot well. He could have other tricks hidden in that ugly battlecruiser form of his.

Scattershot engaged his airbrakes to bring him around to fire on Thundercracker. He slowed to allow him to better compensate for Thundercrackers agility. Opening fire with a barrage of plasma and incindiary shells, Scattershot hoped to score a hit through pure brute force.

Alarms madly sounded as the deadly wall approached. Thundercacker cursed under his breath and executed an immelman maneuver. The curse was out of anger that he was being forced to evade while he was about to fall in behind his foe. No matter, there was still time. He climbed straight into the sky and rolled over 180 degrees then leveled out and prepared to fall in behind his sluggish opponent. As he performed all these tasks he thought ahead anticipating Scattershot's next moves. Keeping one step ahead of his enemies had always ensured a victorious outcome. Now was not the time to change that.

"Slaggit all!"

Scattershot cursed out of frustration. He couldn't understand how Thundercracker could dodge all that fire without taking a single hit. And now the Decepticon was in position to get behind him. He disengaged his airbrakes and stowed his plasma cannon. Hitting full acceleration, he decided to give away some altitude to gain speed. He knew he would need it now. As he dove he could see on his radar that Thundercracker was indeed gaining the advantage in this fight. Scattershot hoped that if he could get close enough to the ground Sunstreaker, Sidswipe, and Bluestreak would be able to get some shots in.

What's that idiot doing?

Thundercracker had Scattershot in his sights and opened fire. Despite the Autobot's jinking, he easily scored multiple hits on his aft but the Autobot continued on. He had not expected him to be so tough. Sure it was obvious that Scattershot was armoured, but he had not thought he would be so unaffected by this damage. As Thundercracker thought about what to do next, the most unexpected thing happened. Scattershot transfomed in midair letting the wind resistance slow him almost instantly. As Thundercracker rushed by he felt an impact that rattled him and caused a momentary blackout of his systems. As he came to he realised that Scattershot was now on his tail and firing.

Ugh! That nearly tore my arms off.

Scattershot was now feeling a little worse for the wear. Thundercracker's shots had badly damaged his rear armour and his joints had been severly stressed by that mid-dive transformation making it more difficult to transform. But it was worth it. He now had the Seeker in his sights. He opened fire and scored one good hit on Thundercracker's tail section. Satisfied with himself, Scattershot pressed his advantage.

He could almost feel the Autobot closing in on him. Thundercracker decided it was time to collect himself. He hit his afterburners and shot up into the sky once more. Scattershot couldn't maneuver as quickly so he let the Decepticon get away once more as he took himself to a more advantageous position.

The ballet continued on between the Autobot and the Decepticon. The movements of Thundercracker methodical and graceful while Scattershot's were spontaneous and brutish. As they fought on each scored a few more hits, but it became clear that they were fairly evenly matched despite their differences. To settle this battle would require another party to get involved.

On the ground in Polyhex - Near the Iacon Border

Bluestreak watched as the Autobot jets changed course to match the seekers’ new heading and flew off into the distance. As his air comrades grew smaller and smaller by the astrosecond, Blue looked back at Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. “Come on, guys! We can catch up! They’re gonna need our help.” And with that, Bluestreak transformed into car mode and peeled off at top speed in the direction the jets had flown. He traveled a parallel route to the Polyhex/Iacon border, kicking up dust and debris as he went.

Several kliks or more passed before Bluestreak finally caught up with Scattershot and his team. The Autobot gunner transformed to ‘bot mode and looked up at the dogfight that had erupted in the sky. Scattershot and Thundercracker were engaged in a back-and-forth battle that seemed to have no end. Each had struck hits on the other, but neither would give up.

Time to work my magic, Bluestreak thought to himself as his targeting systems zeroed in on Thundercracker’s heat signature. The seeker’s altitude was a little high, but that was not a concern for Blue. He had shot down ‘cons a lot higher before without a problem. Now, he just needed a clear shot. He didn’t want to accidentally hit Scattershot, after all.

A few astroseconds later, Bluestreak had his shot.

“Say hello to my little friends, Cracker-head!” The Autobot gunner fired two surface-to-air missiles into the sky. Half way up they divided into four warheads each. All eight were targeted directly at the veteran blue seeker!

The Decepticon vessel had cleared Cybertronian airspace unbothered, largely in accordance with Shockwave's probability calculations. There was still a chance that direct engagement could occur, but the possibilities were so remote that they had become statistically irrelevant. As such, new directives were now being assigned increased importance. The first of which was the information that had been retrieved from planet designate AC488 by the initial Decepticon infiltration unit: the Insecticons. The Military Operations Commander reached over to a holoboard that would both retrieve and relay the specific files that he sought.

"Declassified primary-source information regarding planet AC488 is now being transmitted to each of your individual logs. This information is to be reviewed in its entirety prior to our arrival."

The early phases of their infiltration to this world could not be compromised. There was much work yet to be done, and Shockwave would ensure that any time not spent in direct combat would be used to its utmost potential.
___

Two of the Reflector units continued their monitoring of ship systems and external sensors while the third opened the log files that had been transferred by Shockwave. It was times such as this where their unique design became most useful.
