Potential security solution

Regarding the constant bombardment by spambots.

Just today I registered with the forum on the Artweaver (free painting program) site, and they've got a couple of features on the registry page to help stop spambots from registering. Just wondering if they might be usable here.
First off, there's the obligatory code picture, where you have to type the letters in the image.
Next it asks "are you a human?".

The third part, which is the most interesting, is that it gives you the opportunity to fill in your profile details. But it tells you not to - the idea is that the spambots usually fill in some of the form, and these are automatically banned.

Not sure if these would be implementable, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

with the forum php most systems such as my one same program has three choices normal join and write away, user confirmation and third admin confirmation in which admin must say yes or no
