Well, I've finally started the PCCs fan-fiction I've been raving about! I finished the first episode today and so I'd like to share it with you all. I'd like to know how to post it though. Should it be one large post, or separate posts for each scene of the episode? I'd also like to reveal a number of teams that I'd like to add later on if they're not made into toys:

Omnibots - A Power Core team which has the ability to resist most forms of energy. Rivals to the Corrupticons (Destrons). Would be Autobots in the toyline.

Terrorcons - A Power Core team with low intelligence and forms of savage beasts. Rivals to the Technobots. Would be Decepticons in the toyline.

Technobots - A Power Core team with high intelligence and very analytical personalities. Rivals to the Terrorcons. Would be Autobots in the toyline and repaints of Sledge, two Constructicon drones and two Destructicon drones.

Insecticons - A Power Core team consisting of mostly insects and arachnids. Rivals to the Dinobots. Would be Decepticons in the toyline.

Shinkanbots - A Power Core team with a sharp wit and the forms of trains. Rivals to the Constructicons. Would be Autobots in the toyline.

Predacons - A Power Core team consisting of a mix of bugs, dinosaurs and a mammalian reptile. Rivals to the Maximals. Would be Decepticons in the toyline and feature drone repaints of two Dinobots and two Insecticons.

Maximals - A Power Core team consisting of a mix of dinosaurs and beasts. Rivals to the Predacons. Would be Autobots in the toyline and feature drone repaints of two Terrorcons and two Dinobots.

Power Core Combiners: Transformers - Episode 1

The Transwarp Disaster

Synopsis:
After experimenting with a new, advanced form of Transwarp technology designed for instantaneous travel between multiple Cybertronian-inhabited worlds, the scientists of the Beta division begin to celebrate their success at completing the technology. The festivities are cut short, however, when Cybertronian General Magnus Prime alerts the team that a rogue group of Cybertronians known as the ‘Decepticons’ have infiltrated the Beta facility and intend to disrupt the Transwarp network for the sole purpose of controlling it entirely. A squad of Cybertronian military personnel consisting of Skyburst, Bombshock, Backfire and leader Sea Spray enter the facility to take out the Decepticons. Upon their arrival, they find the Decepticons already reprogramming the network, and so a fire-fight ensues which leads to a catastrophic destruction of the main panel and causes both Skyburst and Bombshock to be obliterated...at least, that’s the report that Sea Spray gave to Magnus Prime, because something very peculiar is going on...

Main Characters
SKYBURST – A young patrol officer who was suddenly drafted into the military with little explanation, he is caught in the Transwarp accident which leads to his utter disappearance.

BOMBSHOCK – This well-aged military trooper has been involved with protecting Cybertron from various threats. Little does he know that the Decepticons’ insane ambition is to be his ultimate downfall.

SEARCHLIGHT – A mysterious silver Cybertronian who discovers a huge secret that could change history forever.

HUFFER – A grumpy old wreck-of-a-Transformer who is mysteriously reconstructed into a younger, sleeker form.

SMOLDER – An impatient Cybertronian who discovers the same secret as Searchlight, just farther away from his location.

Minor Characters
MAGNUS PRIME – The leader of the Cybertronian military, he was filed a report by Sea Spray of the destruction of two of his team. He is convinced that something else may be happening, however.

SEA SPRAY – The leader of a military unit, Sea Spray is absolutely certain that half his team is destroyed.

BACKFIRE – A patrol officer who was drafted into the military along with Skyburst, Backfire can’t accept the fact that his best friend is gone.

CRANKCASE – An underling of Payload, the rogue Cybertronian who launched the attack on the Transwarp Network, he is seemingly turned into slag by the energy-burst.

PAYLOAD – Despite his enormous size, Payload is quite deft with his movements and puts up a good fight to see his mission through, even when the plan goes awry.

Combine and Roll Out!

Scene 1: Celebration Hall: Beta Division: Cybertron

A small number of robotic scientists celebrate the success at their newest technology, the ‘Advanced Transwarp Network’. Two sinister figures watch from a high rafter.

Sinister #1: Look at those fools! Celebrating over a discovery that we are about to claim for ourselves!

Sinister #2: Easy, Crankstart! Remember our mission. We take control of the Network, and then we can celebrate.

Crankstart: Of course, Master Payload! Hee-hee! Let’s do it!

The two evil robots make their way across the rafter, taking care not to let themselves be seen by the party-goers. They open a vent and crawl through. Crankcase closes the vent behind them. A scientist sees the vent close and alerts his superior. Payload and Crankstart enter the Transwarp room and jump down.

Payload: Did you disable the security grid like I asked?

Crankcase: Of course! Hee-hee! Do you take me for a fool?

An alarm sounds throughout the facility.

Payload: Yes. Quickly! We must hurry. It’ll only take a few cycles to get the Transwarp Network under our control!

Crankcase: I’ll get right on it!

Crankcase runs up to the computer panel and begins working through.

Crankcase: This is protoform’s play! Their security codes are little more than dumb puzzles for me to decode! I’m almost in!

The door bursts open. A large blue and white Cybertronian stands in the entrance, along with three smaller ones.

Large: Stop right there! By order of Magnus Prime, General of the Cybertronian Military, you are both under arrest!

Payload: Forget it!

Payload pulls out a large gun and starts firing a powerful laser pulse at the officers.

Large: Why do they always retaliate?

Small #1: Ready for this, Skyburst?

Skyburst: Not really, Backfire. We were unwillingly drafted into the armada without consent.

Small #3: Cheer up, you two! I’ve been in this army for many a stellar cycle, and there’s more action in this field than your boring, mundane police work!

Skyburst: I happen to like mundane, Bombshock...uh...sir!

Bombshock: Cut the pleasantries, small-fry! Just call me ‘Shock!

Large: Cut the chit-chat and cover me!

Backfire: Yes, Sea Spray, sir!

Backfire fires at Payload. Payload pays no attention to his fire as he continues to aim at Sea Spray. Bombshock and Skyburst both fire at Payload as well, who is hit by Bombshock’s cannon-shell. Payload turns to Bombshock and aims his gun.

Payload: You’ll regret that, shell-head!

Bombshock: Grr...nobody...calls...me...SHELL-HEAD!

Bombshock rapidly and aggressively fires at Payload. Skyburst turns his attention to Crankstart.

Crankstart: I’m almost there! Just one more code to crack!

Skyburst fires his gun at the computer panel, destroying it. Crankstart turns around and glares at him.

Crankstart: What have you DONE?! YOU’LL DESTROY US ALL!

A loud whirring sound begins to emanate from the machine as it begins to pulsate with a bright blue light.

Sea Spray: Alright team, let’s evacuate!

Sea Spray freezes Payload and grabs him, running out of the room, followed by Backfire and Bombshock. Bombshock stops and turns to face Skyburst, who is standing, staring at the machine, then at Crankstart.

Crankstart: Help...me...!

Bombshock: Come on, kid! Let’s go!

Skyburst: I have to save him!

Bombshock: Don’t be an idiot hero, boy!

Skyburst: I’m a patroller. My duty is to save first and shoot later!

Skyburst turns and runs towards Crankstart.

Bombshock: Kid! Get back!

Bombshock runs to Skyburst, reaching out to grab him as he reaches out to grab Crankcase. At that moment, the machine detonates, creating a searing-hot blue blast that fills the room, before dissipating. Sea Spray looks in horror at the destruction. A puddle of slag with a small gun floating in it lies near what’s left of the machine. There is no trace of Skyburst or Bombshock.

Sea Spray: Bombshock...no...

Backfire: Skyburst...NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Backfire tries to run into the room, but Sea Spray stops him.

Sea Spray: You can’t go in there! It’s too dangerous!

Backfire: But I have to find Skyburst!

Sea Spray: Look at what’s happened! It’d be lucky if there’s anything left! Now snap out of it, soldier!

Backfire: I am not a SOLDIER! I am a PATROLLER! We BOTH were! And you had to have us on your team! Now my best friend and ally is GONE! And NOTHING can bring him back!

Sea Spray: I’ll give you a chance to cool down while I report to Magnus Prime...and throw this criminal in the slammer till he talks!

Sea Spray walks away, leaving Backfire to look at the ruin.

Scene 2: Conference Room: Beta Division: Cybertron

Sea Spray is talking with Magnus Prime, who is displayed on a large screen.

Magnus Prime: I see. Well, both of our soldiers who fell in battle will be given memorial services. They’ve joined the Matrix now.

Sea Spray: What about the surviving Decepticon?

Magnus Prime: He’s been locked away in the highest-security prison in orbit of Cybertron. If he escapes, he only has the cold of space to look forward to.

Sea Spray: Understood.

Magnus Prime: Meantime, why don’t you check on Backfire? He’s probably still struggling with the loss of his friend.

Sea Spray: He’ll be fine by tomorrow.

Magnus Prime: We can’t all be as stern as you, Sea Spray. That kid’s not a soldier. He never was. Neither was Skyburst. Your decision to have them on your team was based solely on their skills, not on their minds.

Sea Spray: Skyburst was the one to destroy the machine. If I hadn’t asked him to join my squad then he and Bombshock’d both still be here.

Magnus Prime: Ah, so there is emotion in that cold exterior of yours!

Sea Spray: With all due respect, sir, my ‘emotions’ won’t rectify this situation.

Magnus Prime: Well, Skyburst’s sacrifice may have saved this planet and all outlying worlds within the Network. You should think about that.

Sea Spray: I guess so.

Magnus Prime: Skyburst terminated as a hero, and he shall be remembered as such. Now, let’s wrap up. I have business to attend to.

Sea Spray: As always, it’s been a pleasure, sir.

Magnus Prime: Go talk to Backfire.

Sea Spray: I’ll take that as an order, sir.

Magnus Prime: Good.

The screen switches off.

Sea Spray: But I’m having trouble coping with this situation as well...

Scene 3: Unknown Location: Unknown Time of Day

Skyburst lies in the middle of a large plain of grey grass. Dark grey stormclouds roll overhead. A loud peal of thunder causes Skyburst to power-on suddenly.

Skyburst: WHAT THE...heck just happened? What does ‘heck’ even mean? Ugh...my logic circuits feel like they took a full-power shock cannon blast...

Skyburst stands up and looks around. He watches as a small van of Earth design flashes from the sky and hits the ground. Just as quickly, the van vanishes.

Skyburst: That was weird...where in the Great Wars am I?

Skyburst hears trudging over a hill. A silver and blue Cybertronian walks up to him.

Silver: Hey! Could you tell me where I am?

Skyburst: I was just wondering the same thing.

Silver: Then I guess we’re both lost! Name’s Searchlight.

Skyburst: I...I’m Skyburst...that’s about all I can remember...

Searchlight: Your memory banks are corrupted too?

Skyburst: I don’t think so...I just can’t access all of them.

Searchlight: Well, our best bet’s to look around. I’m sure we’ll find something eventually.

Skyburst: It’s a grey, miserable field. What’s to find?

Suddenly, a fighter jet of unusual construction falls from the sky in a flash. This vehicle doesn’t disappear though. Skyburst’s body begins to spark.

Skyburst: Yeow! What’s...happening...?

Searchlight: Magnetic anomaly. The storm’s frying your circuits. Quick, scan that jet and transform.

Skyburst: Oh, no...I don’t do the whole ‘transformation’ thing.

Searchlight: Why not? It’s in your programming!

Skyburst: Because I don’t need to...

A large spark explodes from Skyburst’s body.

Searchlight: Really? Because those energy-spikes suggest otherwise! Now transform before you become a very metallic monolith!

Skyburst scans the vehicle.

Skyburst’s Computer: Scanning...Vehicle identified. Attempting to replicate. Replication complete. You may transform when ready.

Skyburst: Here goes...

Skyburst transforms into his fighter jet mode.

Skyburst: Now what?

Searchlight transforms into a silver and blue search-and-rescue helicopter.

Searchlight: Follow me!

Searchlight flies off into the distance. Skyburst stays still on the ground.

Skyburst: Hey! How do you work this...this...thing?

Searchlight: Just think about fly-

Skyburst suddenly blasts into the sky.

Searchlight: -ing. Yeah, that’s right!

Skyburst is flying through the air.

Skyburst: Woo-hoo! This is exhilarating! I still can’t control this mode, but it’s fantastic! Look, I’m all the way in the air, and the ground’s all the way down-

Skyburst’s engines suddenly stop, and he begins to plummet to the ground.

Searchlight: What are you doing? Are you crazy?

Skyburst: I can’t do it!

Searchlight: Do what?

Skyburst: The whole flying thing! I’m scared I’ll hit the ground!

Searchlight: Look at it this way...if you don’t start flying YOU WILL HIT THE GROUND!

Skyburst: Okay...concentrate...you can do this...you can fly...

Skyburst’s engines fire up again, and he flies through the sky.

Skyburst: This isn’t so bad! Hey, let’s fly over the clouds!

Searchlight: Sorry, I can’t get that high. You go though.

Skyburst: Really? You sure?

Searchlight: Yeah. Go on, try out your new wings!

Skyburst flies up and punches through the cloud. A beam of sunlight shines to the ground. Searchlight notices a building at the base of the light beam.

Searchlight: I better go check that out...

Searchlight flies toward the building.

Scene 4: Unknown Location: Night

Bombshock powers-on in the middle of a large desert. The golden sands have a bluish tinge from the night sky. A nearby oasis with a single palm tree reflects the light of the full moon.
Bombshock stands up and looks around at the tranquil scenery.

Bombshock: What kind of place is this? Have I joined the Matrix?

?: Honoured soldier. Your spark has transcended your mortal...er...chassis and joined the Matrix, the All-Spark that binds all Cybertronians into a single...er...whole.

Bombshock looks in the direction of the source of the voice and sees a dark-red and black Transformer with broad shoulders standing nearby.

Broad-Shoulders: I’m just messin’ with ya! You sure are a fool if you’re fallin’ for my jokes!

Bombshock: I’m not sure I like your attitude.

Broad-Shoulders: Aw, come on! I’m just havin’ a lil’ fun! It’s been B-O-R-I-N-G since I became stranded here!

Bombshock: What’s your name, kid?

Broad-Shoulders: The name’s Smolder. And I ain’t no kid!

Bombshock: I’m Bombshock...but I don’t remember how I got here...or my life before...

Smolder: Aw, you’ll get used to it! Hasn’t dampened my spirit! I spend most o’ my time driving around the sands lookin’ fer anythin’ that takes my fancy.

Bombshock: And what have you found?

Smolder: Well, all I’ve found so far is a decrepit building on the far side of the desert. It’s on a high plateau though, and I don’t have enough firepower to blast a staircase to it.

Bombshock: And you think I have the firepower?

Smolder: Not yet. That’s why I want you to scan...that.

Smolder points to a small all-terrain vehicle with a large cannon on its top.

Bombshock: Are you...asking me to transform?

Smolder: ‘Course! It’s not that bad!

Bombshock: But I’m from Cybertron. No denizen of Cybertron is permitted to transform after the Galvatronus Prime incident started the First Great War.

Smolder: Oh, come on! You’ll need that form. Trust me!

Bombshock: And why should I believe you?

A large sandstorm begins to sweep-up on the horizon. It moves towards the oasis at an alarming pace.

Smolder: Because you don’t have a choice! If you don’t take the form of a vehicle, that sandstorm’ll rip you to scrap metal! And then you’ll join the Matrix for real!

Bombshock: Ugh...okay. I’m in...but I’m not happy about it.

Bombshock scans the vehicle.

Bombshock’s Computer: Scanning...Vehicle identified. Attempting to replicate. Replication complete. You may transform when ready.

Bombshock: So help me...if anything happens when I’m transformed...

Bombshock transforms into his alt-mode.

Bombshock: Now what?

Smolder transforms into a small fire wagon.

Smolder: Now we wait for the storm to subside.

The sound of grains of sand pelting against metal wrings through Bombshock’s audio sensors. After a cycle, the sand dissipates.

Smolder: Follow me!

Smolder drives across the sand.

Smolder: Well? You comin’?

Bombshock: Just give me a nanoklik while I-

Bombshock’s wheels begin to move.

Bombshock: Hey, it works! Wait up, kid!

Smolder: I’m not a kid!

Bombshock: Sorry...Smolder.

Scene 5: Abandoned Factory: Unknown Time

Searchlight stands outside the building. The doors are rusted shut. Above the door is a large image of a bright-green circle with two big, piercing eyes. Surrounding the circle are five thick, long, curvy lines.

Searchlight: How do I get inside? If I blast the door, the whole building could collapse.

Skyburst flies down and lands next to Searchlight.

Searchlight: There you are! Where have you been?

Skyburst transforms to robot mode.

Skyburst: Oh, I was having a lot of fun...until a falling object struck my hull, causing me to panic.

Searchlight: You really need to conquer this illogical fear of yours.

Skyburst: ...so what’s this place?

Searchlight: As far as I can tell, it’s an old warehouse. The doors are rusted shut, though, and I’m not sure if I should blast them open.

Skyburst: Let me try.

Skyburst fires a laser beam from his eyes. He works between the doors to remove the corrosion. As soon as his beam reaches the ground, the doors open automatically. The two Cybertronians step inside.

Searchlight: Well, look at this place!

Skyburst: It’s...it’s an old factory.

Searchlight: Yeah, but for what?

Skyburst walks up to a small pedestal. On its top is a glass dome, and inside the dome is a blue cube with a yellow disc on top.

Skyburst: My guess is this.

Searchlight: A blue box?

Skyburst: Interesting...

Searchlight: It’s just a blue box.

Skyburst: No, I mean the inscription. There are etchings of an ancient, forgotten language called Penth on the top and bottom rims.

Searchlight: Penth?

Skyburst: It’s an ancient language spoken by a race of beings once said to have lived on Cybertron. I came across some old texts in a library and decided to learn the language.

Searchlight: So what do the etchings say?

Skyburst: They just repeat the same words over and over...’Core of Power’.

Searchlight: What does it do?

Skyburst: That’s what I want to find out. I’m going to boot-up the factory’s systems and search the archives. If any of it is written in Penth I should be able to translate at least some of it.

Searchlight: Great. I guess I’ll search the factory for any signs of what this machinery is for...that is, if it’s for anything else.

Skyburst: Okay, I got the systems working.

Lights power-on throughout the factory. Lines of bright-green light cross the walls in a cybernetic pattern. Doors inside the factory open unexpectedly. In one room stands a small, green crystal statue.

Computer: Systems rebooting. Factory operational. Detecting life-signs...two life-signs detected. Race: Saibatrons. Purpose of intrusion: unknown.

Two eyes on the statue’s face begin to glow.

Scene 6: Unknown Location: Unknown Time of Day

A tan-coloured Cybertronian powers-on in the middle of a dense jungle. He slowly begins to stand-up.

Tan: Ugh...I feel like I’ve been wanged to the head.

The Cybertronian begins to look around. He sees a lot of green plant life and hears insect chirps and animal calls, but other than that the jungle is deserted.

Tan: Hello? Is anybody there? My name’s Huffer and I need help! Is there another Cybertronian here? Anyone at all?

Nobody replies.

Huffer: Great. I lose my memory and there’s nobody to help me remember. That’s just my luck.

Huffer continues to look around as he walks straight into the side of a large building.

Huffer: What in blazes...?! Who built this building in the middle of all this greenery?

Huffer stretches his limbs.

Huffer: Ah...all this exercise is shaking the rust from my limbs. What I wouldn’t give to be new again...

The symbol above the building’s door is similar to the one on the factory found by Searchlight and Skyburst, except that the disc on this symbol is blue instead of green. The symbol seemingly reacts to Huffer’s wish as the doors open no sooner than he gets the words ‘new again’ out of his vocal processor.

Huffer: Oh well, guess I have nothing better to do with my time.

Huffer steps inside the building. As he enters the building the circuits power-on automatically, with glowing blue lines on the walls forming a high-tech pattern and a computer panel nearby. It is a carbon copy of the field factory.

Huffer: Huh...guess this place is home.

A large machine in a far corner of the room powers-on and displays Huffer’s image on the screen.

Huffer: What in blazes...?

A word appears on the screen, but it’s written in Penth and Huffer can’t make it out. After a short while, the word translates into Cybertronian.

Huffer: Enter...but why?

The image of Huffer slowly changes into a sleeker, newer form.

Huffer: Oh, I get it! Say no more.

Huffer runs over and steps inside, just as his hand falls off. The machine activates, and there is a blue glow of light from inside. After half a cycle, the machine stops. Huffer steps out, completely refurbished.

Huffer: I like it! Something goes right for me for once. New paint job...nice black chrome plating...even my vocal program is younger...I wonder if there’re any hidden features I don’t know about...

Suddenly, four blue cubes pop-out from Huffer’s body; one from each of his shoulders, and one from the back of each leg.

Huffer: Whoa! Those really stand-out, don’t they? Maybe I should keep ‘em hidden for now so I don’t embarrass myself...unless that’s what the younger generation’s into these days.

The door nearest Huffer opens. Lights on the ground lead into the corridor beyond.

Huffer: Guess I have to go this way.

Huffer enters through the doorway, and the doors close behind him.

Huffer: This place is really peculiar...

A door near Huffer opens, seemingly in reaction to his presence. Huffer turns and faces it, pauses, then heads inside.

Huffer: This looks like some kind of storage hold.

A blue gleam catches Huffer’s optical sensor. He turns to face it and sees a small, blue, crystalline statue. Inside the statue’s chest is a glowing orb of energy. A childlike voice fills the room.

Computer: Systems rebooting. Factory operational. Detecting life-signs...one life-sign detected. Race: Power Core-enhanced Saibatron. Purpose of intrusion: restoration of chassis.

Huffer: What kind of voice is that?

Computer: Attempting to reactivate Mini-Con.

The core inside the Mini-Con pulses suddenly, and its eyes glow. Its head begins to twitch, followed by its limbs. It looks straight at Huffer.

Huffer: What in the Matrix is that thing?

The Mini-Con begins to speak.

Mini-Con: That ‘thing’ happens to have a name, you know!

Huffer: Well, you’ll forgive me for not knowing it.

The Mini-Con points to a computer monitor above its head that says, ‘Hi! My name is Caliburst!’

Huffer: Wait...that’s written in a Human language...

Caliburst: No kidding, genius!

Huffer: So...this is Earth?

Caliburst: How should I know? The amount of dust on my chassis suggests I’ve been off-line for some time now!

Huffer: So, Caliburst, huh?

Caliburst: Yep. I take it you’re Huffer?

Huffer: How did you know?

Caliburst: It’s been in the mainframe since you walked in.

Huffer: Oh.

Caliburst: On a semi-related topic, you reactivated me. That makes me indebted to you.

Huffer: Oh great, I have a pet.

Caliburst: Hey! I’m a fully-sentient Cybertronian!

Huffer: Sorry! I meant no offense!

Caliburst: None taken, but you should watch that attitude when we’re combined.

Huffer: Combined?

Caliburst: Oh, boy...another ex-Proto who didn’t know he had the potential...

Huffer: Potential for what?

Caliburst: For combining! Sheesh, didn’t you ever feel incomplete?

Huffer: I’ve felt a lot of things, but I don’t know about incomplete.

Caliburst: Well, I’m sure that-

Computer: Warning! An intruder has been detected outside the factory! Race: unknown. Reason for intrusion: unknown. Suggest defending the factory.

Caliburst: What about the shields?

Computer: Negative. Shields still recharging. Current shield percentage: less than 1%.

Caliburst: Oh, great. Here we go. Ready to save the world?

Huffer: Oh, boy. Do I have to?

Caliburst: Of course you do! If this base is compromised, we’re in seri-

A huge blast hits the factory, and the ground shakes.

Caliburst: Too late! We’re in trouble!

Huffer: I am not having a good day...
