I understand why they aren't porting Mass Effect 1, because apparently Microsoft was the publisher for that. What I don't get is why they would then import Mass Effect 2. Without the ability to import saves, they'd have to cut out a lot of content effected by your ME1 save, or subject the player to a gigantic questionnaire.

They're going with the questionairre; heralded by some interactive comic at the start of the game (apparently).

Wow, talk about lazy. The demo (PC version at least, I dunno about 360) actually featured a fairly lengthy cutscene describing the events of the first game, narrated by the Illusive Man. But an interactive comic? They couldn't have it done through regular conversation and character animation?

The 360 version had that too.

Shacknews confirms that the "bonus content" for Mass Effect 2 on PS3 will be the three major DLC packs, a $24 value, for free. GameStop has the price at $60. Oddly enough, the PC version of ME2 is only $20 and the 360 version is only $30. Meaning you could get the main game and the DLC cheaper on PC or 360 than on PS3.

I burned through 3 of the original Playstation. 2 PSX and one of the small PS1. Each of them died for no apparent reason. Similarly, I went through two PS2 consoles. One just stopped working, and the second stopped saving games. I am not rough on consoles. I keep them clean, safe and take good care of them.

I have never, as yet, had to replace an Xbox. The 360 was an easy choice, in my mind.

So now I have an XBox and Wii.

Say what you want about Nintendo, but let's be real: the PS2 died if a butterfly farted outside. Meanwhile, you could take your GameCube or N64 and throw it out of an airplane onto a soccer field where they would then kick it around for an entire game, after which they would throw it away, and then a grizzly bear would find it, shove it up its ass and then **** it into an erupting volcano, and when you finally dug it out of all the hardened lava, that son of a bitch would STILL WORK.

I've a launch day PS2 and it still works.

IIRC The only Mass Effect 2 DLC that was avaible at launch Xbox 360 and PC was The Cerberus Network (which came with a code for it in the box), Zareed: The Price of Revenge, Blood Dragon Armor (which you had to buy Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 to get) and various store bonus armor and weapons.

You remember wrong. The Normandy Crash Site was the first DLC available, and the Cerberus Network wasn't DLC, it was just the delivery service. Zaeed (There's no R in his name) wasn't available until two days after launch. More DLC was released each month afterwords, up until Lair of the Shadow Broker in September.

I'm not sure how that's relevant, though.

I'd reccomend a PS3. as I have had one for awhile now with no problems, not mentioning the current problems with Black Ops on the Playstation Network. It's true that the Xbox has a better online thing going, but the PS3's network is free despite its flaws.

In addition to that, the PS3 gets you the Tester, a show so bad it's good

Ah yes. A bunch of people compete for a dead-end job that also happens to be the worst in the industry. Apparently no one told them their job isn't to play video games all day, it's to play the broken, incomplete wreckage that will one day become a game. It's like being a crash-test dummy; you don't spend your day driving a Lamborghini at top speed everywhere, you drive it into a brick wall, write up a seven-page report, then drive into it again.

Yeah I forgot about Normandy Crash Site, now as far as I'm concerned The Cerberus Network was the first DLC because it's extra content and I had to download it.

It isn't anymore, I got Cerberus Network for free, already installed, when I bought the game off of Steam in October. I had to pay for Overlord, Kasumi, and Shadow Broker, though.

I'm just disappointed ME2 on the PS3 has lower frame rates that cause breaks in some textures.
