I havnt paid much attention to the japanese version of Prime other than the ones they get that we in the US dont. So im wondering do all the Japanese Prime figures come with the small model i guess is what it is, to build there weapons? and secondly do they come with the weapons the US versions have? or just the models?

Sorry if this has been discussed but i couldnt find anything while searching for an answer.

And they are inplace of the weapons the US versions have?

Just trying to figure this out to decide if im willing to import more of the japanese versions, since i think the Arms minicons look better than what most of the US versions come with.

That should be a correct analogy. Less child friendly over the Hasbro version lol!

Well, you better decide now 'cause the arms microns (the ones sold solo) are quite on the hotcake side (selling that fast)

The Japanese version of the Prime line focuses more on being a customizable model kit, as that is huge among children in Japan. As such, paint apps are minimal, instead they come with stickers which you can apply anywhere (the optional ones at least, like the symbols) and instead of their weapon a little Arms Micron that you build yourself is included. No glue necessary, it's all snap-on, like a candy toy, only a bit sturdier

To help you along a bit, here's a list of figures that are (for now) Japan-only:

- Skywarp
- the clear purple Terrorcon Cliffjumper
- Breakdown
- Swerve
- Jet Vehicon

Thundercracker and Orion Pax (from the FE delxue mold) were also announced recently.

The Arms Microns are great. Take a look at the AMW line, they're the Micron kits that are sold individually, so no need to shell out twice the price of a US figure just for the weapon, especially when the AMW are about a fiver.

I've picked up 5 of the first 6 so far, and they're great. Could do with better stickers maybe, but if you're into model making, then you probably have some paint that'd be better to use anyway. I'm actually waiting on 04-06 being delivered, so I'll have 2 of the gun and the chainsaw-cat. There's also a couple of gift-sets up for pre-order with I think 5 or 6 of the Micron kits that have come with the main figures. One thing to note is that each release of the Microns is in a different colour, so if there's a particular deco you're after, probably best to bite the bullet and get it, if it's one that comes with a bulk, just sell that on later or customise it.

Lastly, Arms Micron Capsule toys - these aren't quite as nice as the proper Arms Microns, but you don't have to build them.

Plus, they're *dirt cheap*. :ic$:

Problem is that they feel it too. At least Bee and Prime have paint apps I suppose. But compared to the AM kits, these are engineered like knock-offs.

Well, can't expect that much from Toy Vending Machines, can you? ;)

Not sure if they have the takara/Bandai Gashapons in the US, but they are all over Asia.

They have pretty awesome stuff in there. Like well painted model guns that actually fire plastic pallets (Made by Takara), and there are kamen rider switches/ memories inside the Bandai ones too. The gundam ones are cool too... Basically, there are actually loads of awesome stuff inside the Asian Gashapons. But for the 200yen (2.50US) you are generally paying for these (Out of the machine), the AM stuff are pretty decent.

Hmm... I need to go and find if we got the AM machines in Singapore... I have seen loads of Forze stuff... when we're at like what, the english Decade... Hopefully that means the AM stuff will be imported too. :ic$:

We have Toy Vending Machines here in Europe too, but mostly cheap random stuff. Sometimes though you'll see stuff like Sonic, Hello Kitty and Super Mario and the price is usually €2 ($2.60). I have a nice collection of them, mostly Mario Kart Green Shells
