Question on Transparent Stands and Posts

Guys I'm wondering if you know where I can get transparent posts or figure stands that come with some toys. For example, some of the McFarlane dragons flying have these ugly ass posts that look like they're impaling the dragon. I'd like to minimize that look and am trying to find something transparent of the right size that would suffice

I'd also like transparent figure stands for figures that need the support. For example my Fist of the North Star which I bought based on pictures of Kokuogoh rearing without support, only to realise it was all a fake. Well I'd still like him rearing but resting on something transparent

Any help really appreciated!

Hi, Bonecrusher27. If you type 'acrylic display stands' into google, you will bring up a huge number of sites that specialize in creating all sorts of mostly-clear display supports for a wide range of items. You might find something there that'll work for you and it might be cheaper than buying a stand especially made to support a specific toy. Large arts & crafts shops and shops that specialize in framing/displaying art should carry at least some acrylic display items too and may well be willing to custom-design a support for you the same as they'd custom-design a frame for a print or painting.

I looked at the dragon model you linked to and one other immediate possibility popped into mind--why not 'hang' your dragon over his base with fishing line? Obviously, whether you could do this or not would depend on where you're planning on displaying him, but it could also work very well, I think, plus give you the added option of a certain degree of 'mid-air posibility'. I display a couple of my Star Wars ships and flying figurines this way and the line really is quite invisible from a slight distance!

Thanks Biddybot! That was really useful. My problem was I didn't know what to input into the search engine so came up with all kinds of useless results.

The problem with the fishing line is that I intend to display them in a display case, so it would require me making modifications to create the suspension points. I may also need to move quickly in the near future at least once, so the stand option lets me change positions a lot faster.

Thanks again mate!
