A neat idea, but not for me. Bumblebee hasn't been a Beetle since the '80s I see no reason to make him one again when all the other classics are modernized.

I might've jumped on this if it were the modern Beetle, but not this old thing.

This this a full figure, or just a kit with which you can reshell a Bumblebee?
I would be more interested if it where a kit.

What he said. Word for word.

I'd quite like Goldbug to be a beetle. Oh, and the Spike outline looks like a vertically flipped copy of the one that came with the BB SCF toy/Heroes Of Cybertron PVC set.

Here's a few more from the Planet Iacon facebook page. I also hear this is being distributed by iGear and will cost about $90.00.

wow, it's really just laughing in the face of Hasbro's legal department isn't it? (and VW's of course)

For that price (if valid) and iGear's devil may care attitude, can they include their Herbie repaint of "Bee"? That'll really stir the waters.

Otherwise, I'm not too thrilled by this offering. I remember there was also discussion about iGear releasing a reshell of Cliffjumper also. I wonder if this reshelling is a new trend for them, in addition to their other projects (PS - I don't consider the MP Coneheads as a reshell effort).

I like the idea, but it's waaaaaaay late. And, really ... I have the first Classics BB and United BB with a Goldbug head and that's all I think 'll need.

A Cliffjumper reshell, though? That I'd buy.I don't know if I'd buy it for $90, but I'd be tempted.

Wasn't interested before, certainly not interested for 90 bucks.

Haha, yea right90 dollars for a reshelled KO of f**king Bumblebee? Including copyright and trademark infringening extras that glorify Bumblebee? Not f**king likely.

Maybe at maybe half that, including shipping but no higher than that.

Ninety bones and you get that giant backpack kibble in return? Meh. Henkei Bee is damn near perfection.
