Now there's a headline I didn't expect to be typing in 2025.
Thanks to the efforts and generosity of our friends at TFNation, the canceled, never before published issues 31 and 32 of Dreamwave's Transformers: Energon comic series are now available on the TFNation website. Each issue is available digitally and completely free to download by either scanning a QR code, which is mirrored below, or by visiting their site and downloading directly from Google Drive.
The issues themselves are a real treat, especially issue 31 as it's more-or-less the completed product that would have hit store shelves if not for its abrupt cancellation over 20 years ago. Issue 32 does not feature any color work, but all of Simon Furman's script and Alex Milne's lineart are present, with lettering done on issue 32 by Andrew Turnbull.
Enjoy this blast from the past that many of us never thought would see the light of day. These comics are wildly different from the present output from Skybound and are worth a look even if you haven't read a single issue of the old Dreamwave Armada/Energon series, even if it's just to get a glimpse of another era.

Re: Transformers Energon Issues 31 and 32 Now Available
I'm tempted to print out hard copies, then track down Pat Lee and see if he'll sign them.
I'm more bitter about Dreamwave's G1 titles ending just before the first official crack at reconciling the Primus and Quintesson origins in one universe, and way more bitter about the end of the original Marvel book, but considering how far downhill the Energon cartoon went, the void left by the end of DW UT continuity still stings.
I need to finally read the synopsis Furman posted sometime too...

Blast from the past, indeed. I initially thought I'd misread the title!
Thanks to TFNation for making them available.
