Didn't see this mentioned anywhere yet, but thought others might want to see it.

A couple cases of FE BH coming out of the box with some rather bad stress marks

and...

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transform ... -apps.html

Prime missing some paint that really affects how his alt mode looks. :BANG_HEAD:

I was considering getting another FE Prime to go with my FE BH in my pile of loot, but I think I'll just pass on that now.

LoL that is ridiculous.

Kind of shameful that such a small paint application was allowed to slide with how detrimental it is to the alt mode look.

Indeed.

He got the ole double screw, he also has one of the FE BH's with the stress marks right out of the box, and the arm in fact came off of his because of it.

Ham-handling maybe?

Holy hell! And I thought the botched paint on one of my Henkei Classic OP's wing was bad...

Would you believe I actually had to look up the original FE to spot the difference?

I don't think it's as much as bad QC as a wrong figure being used as reference, which may explain why I didn't see it right away. I'm talking about Shining Optimus Prime:

Shining Optimus Prime on TFWiki

As you can see, no paint in exactly the same place. Yes, I do have him, and I'm not bothered by this "mistake". >:oP

Bulkhead's stress marks on the other hand are a bit more worrisome. I know stress marks can be limited, but when they completely surround the joint... Oye.

Voyagers seem to suffer the most these days. Crap plastic, thinner, rubber, balljoints in the hips, POS weapons all that and a big, fat mark-up in price. I'm enjoying this.

Yeah, they mention Shining Prime in that thread and the paint missing in the same spot. I don't believe this to be a QC issue with the paint. Every single one that has been opened is like this, so it's just the way it is I guess. Now, for me, I could pass that off on the Shining Prime since he's so spiffy all transparent like that. But for the regular painted mold release, nooo way. Looks like garbage. Like I said, I was thinking about adding another FE Prime to my cart, as I already have 2 that I enjoy very much, but with this paint app difference I'm simply going to pass. If I got him, I'd have to fix that for sure. And luckily I just don't need one that badly.

I am worried about my FE BH that's sitting in my POL though. Seems several have popped up already with the same stress marks.

I don't think I'll mind Bulkhead's QC issues all that much...

I think I can deal with optimus prime's problems, but is every bulkhead's arms popping off? This isnt going to be like PCC Mudslinger's legs all over again is it?

It's happened over on Allspark too:

http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90202

The missing paint makes the altmode look horrendous. That brown is just ugly.

Now I've got no choice but to hunt down the overpriced Takara version to guarantee a properly-painted version. >:oP

Also, why isn't this news? I would think a lot of people who are still looking for FE Voyager Optimus would like to know what they might be getting into.

BBTS has updated Prime's product page with the following:

NOTE - Apparently Hasbro has changed the colors around the cab area to brown - which cannot be seen in robot mode, in which it is packaged.

I can now confirm the problems with Bulkhead's arm. The damn thing falls off any time you actually touch it. It has the same stress mark post shown in pics from others that have been in circulation for awhile now.

Detracts from an otherwise great figure.

My FE Bulkhead doesn't have the widespread QC problems with his arms. And I did pick it up from retail three days ago. Maybe I was just one of the lucky ones? :-?

Mine sat in my POL til last week or so, then I wrapped him up and put him under my tree so I would have something to unwrap this morning (it's lame, but I live alone  ) So mine was an early shipment I would imagine. I may go to TRU then and see about getting one there. If only as an experiment.

I have noticed quite a few stress marks so far. The pins that swivel the wrists in and out have both caused stress marks on the forearms. His heel pieces both have stress marks on the green feet. And those chest tabs for the hood pieces are showing marks thru to his front.

Still love him though.

I got mine from the first BBTS shipment, too, but the arm's only come off once. It only happens for mine if you twist it around enough. I've learned to correct it as I play, it's almost second nature now.

the FE Prime I got from BBTS had a misplaced pin that messed with the truck mode, returned that one and picked another Prime and a Bulkhead. Thinking about keeping Bulkhead MIB since I have the Takara version already
