Renders for interchangeable Kreon heads

I'm considering a light piped kreon head. parts are interchangeable so customers can mix and match eyes with mouths. I figure that for best detail both the face and the eyes would be ordered in Frosted Ultra Detail and you would paint over the mouth parts and just paint around the eyes (that shows on the face) on the eye parts and give the actual eyes a little translucent color. Leaving the back/top of the head unpainted to maximize the amount of light that can filter in. I'm thinking that helmets would need to have holes cut in the back to allow light in though.. otherwise you end up with "dead eyes" like MP-10.. lol

Thoughts?

Neat idea!

The ones for the visor/goggle-based character characters look really sharp.

And you made some great expressions for the faces.

They'd probably work even better for helmets with mouthpieces, or Shockwave, or characters like the G2 Cyberjets. You could probably get away with making the whole head translucent, and then carving out the features you wanted in the helmet.

thanks man, I think I'll move forward with this idea and order a few test prints next round of shapeways orders. Yeah you could do the whole head in translucent material, though you would lose the interchangeable aspect of the eyes/mouths. I figure I'll have all the head parts in a single set and include the blank one too so that folks can carve their own expressions.

Do you think there are any eyes or mouth expressions I should do and haven't?

I bet pair of heroic / villainous female eyes and mouths would be handy.
