As someone who enjoys the series, I would be disappointed. But to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised. With no release date, and pushing it back, it worries me. I do know it's done though (season 2) ans new toys are bring released, so it seems strange they would scrap it. But who knows.

Maybe the idea is to time it so the finale comes right before Age of Extinction hits theaters? It's the HUB's only non-cancelled TF series at present, so that might make some kind of business sense.

The Hub has never had a cancelled Transformers series on air aside from re-runs of Animated.

...and G1 and Prime. What, is there a distinction between "cancelled" and just "ended"?

..........Yes.

Being cancelled indicates that there were plans to continue the series, but the channel network ended the show because the series wasn't getting enough viewers or there were complications with continuing the show and therefore needs to end.

There's a difference between that and ending naturally, which both Prime and G1 did.

Since it takes 6-12 months to make each episode, canceling season 2 at this point - mere weeks before it airs - wouldn't make any sense. Maybe after this series, especially if the rumors are correct and the post-AoE show treads a more middle ground between Prime's (unearned) ultra-serious tone, and Rescue Bots' more lighthearted tone.

I really hope they don't end up axing this show, but if they did at this point I think its safe to say the episodes already produced would surely get released to DVD or streaming somewhere. It is just crazy how long its been since the first season ended, I mean that was back in October 2012 right? I don't think shows taking 15+ months between seasons is ever a good sign.

With the start of previews of upcoming toy lines for the show (even though I am not a fan of Boatwave, Bumblebike, and Monstertrucktimus Prime) and the knowledge that the show is actually complete, I doubt it will get the axe before season 2 starts. There is strong speculation that season 2 is the last, but I imagine at least season 2 will air.

August 18, 2012, but yeah the wait time between seasons for this show has been asinine. This show is far less expensive to make than TF: Prime ever was and yet that show kept churning out seasons on a yearly basis. By comparison, this show shouldn't be taking so long to release if the production cost is so convenient.

I think the simplest explanation of all is most likely what's happened ... the new episodes were pushed back to time when new toys will be available at stores.

But then that would mean I bought all those transforming Energize toys for nothing. :BOOM: :BANG_HEAD:

:P

The Energize part of the line was just a subline imprint like Unicron Battles, Primus Unleashed, Allspark Power, etc. I'd be surprised if the 2nd season of the show didn't feature the new molds on some level.

I bought them because, at the time, I suspected that the Energize energy hand weapons tools would be featured in the show (which seemed to be supported by that one commercial for them that used the same animation of the cartoon).

Being a subline imprint doesn't necessarily mean "filler until the next fiction comes", as Battle for the Spark, the Unicron Battles, the Powerlinx Battles, Primus Unleashed, Beast Hunters, and Predacons Rising all had toys of things that appeared in each of their respective shows.

At this rate, Rescue Bots & Beware the Batman will wind up like Young Justice and Green Lantern TAS. These delays are ridiculous. (Wow. Shows how much I care for Rescue Bots :???: )

I think all the animated shows that I have liked getting canned in recent years has made me gun shy whenever any delay or scheduling change pops up. Green Lantern TAS, Young Justice, Thundercats, GI Joe Renegades was growing on me, and I was even willing to give Voltron Force a shot at a second season. Here is hoping Rescue Bots gets to conclude with a solid ending this season if this is the last we get of it.

My (nearly) 8 year old nephew gave up asking me when it was coming back. It's his fault I got into it.

80 weeks.

That's how long we will have had to wait between seasons.

80... weeks!

From August 18, 2012 to March 1, 2014. That's almost 19 months!

Words cannot describe how much there is no excuse for such an ungodly amount of time that is for a between-season gap. Especially with how they completed the season mid-LAST YEAR! :BANG_HEAD:
