Has anybody seen anything on this game? It's during the time of RE2 & 3 so the zombies are back! I'm pumped

I'm not. They've set too many games during the Raccoon City Incident, that's why they made the effort to move away from it. It's not like they can't feature a Zombie outbreak elsewhere. It's not like they can't have a game starring Barry, making his infamous Barry lines. Maybe bring back Rebecca while we're at it. Fighting Zombies in places that aren't Raccoon City.

I don'r care man. It's why Resident Evil exist in the first place. A zombie horror game. It eventually turned into something else. My former favorite game series went back to what made it my favorite in the first place. I just hope it plays good

From the sounds of things, it's going to be an action game instead of survival horror.

So I was reading and GameInformer said you'll be able to take cover. There's been alot of games where you can take cover. The question is now how will it feel? I wanna know if it will feel like Gears of War, Uncarted, etc...

You could take cover in RE4 and 5 too. So it'll probably feel like those.

I am excited. I don't care what anybody else says about how Raccoon City is old. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. The gameplay is going to be awesome

I think the one coming out on the 3DS is supposed to be more survival horror than action. I lost interest in the Resident Evil series myself when it became action based. RE4 was a great game, but when 5 came out I was disappointed that they were sticking with that formula. What I would really love to see are remakes of 2 and 3 like they did with the first one.

Revelations looks to be a cross between classic and modern; the camera and aiming is kept from 4 and 5, (And the ability to move while aiming, a mechanic that apparently everyone but me wanted) but everything else is supposed to be vintage Resident Evil. Operation Raccoon City is more action oriented, from the looks of things. And RE6 depends on who you're playing; Leon's missions appear to be like Revelations; classic RE with touches of the modern games, while Chris's looks to be more in line with 4 and 5.

Also a new live-action movie is coming out this year (A sequel to Afterlife) as well as a sequel to Degeneration. It is officially the year of Resident Evil.

It really is. Which kind of doesn't make sense because last year was 15th ann. of the franchise unless Capcom didn't realize it and started all of these RE projects late.
