Next up on our SDCC 2012 coverage plate is the two newest Fall Of Cybertron toys that were revealed in today's panel. Both figures are in the Voyager class scale, and both align themselves with the Autobots. We're talking about Blaster, and the highly anticipated Grimlock! Blaster is a remold of the FOC Voyager Soundwave figure, and comes with his own original minion, Steeljaw! On the other hand, Grimlock is an original mold and looks to be as ferocious as ever! Take a look at the entire gallery by clicking the photos or the links provided!

That Grimlock is pure sex, but you know what would be even better? The rest of the Dinobots that my G1 Redux shelf is woefully missing.

No contest really, FoC is my classics Grimlock. I hope we get voyager Sludge, deluxe Snarl, deluxe Slag and deluxe Swoop from them soon. If they don't they are just opening the doors to third parties. Honestly I would prefer the full team of Dinobots over a wreckers repaint of Bruticus.

Also, I'm glad there is some remolding on that voyager Blaster but on early impressions, I'm still not convinced on the mold.

This times a thousand. Why do they get no love?! Robot dinosaurs, they print money!

I agree, that Grimlock is gonna be killer, but it looks like it transforms just like it did in the 80s. The head/neck flips back, the dinosaur legs become the robot arms, the dinosaur tail splits in two and becomes the robot legs. Not that original. Great detailing, and size mind you. Definitely knocks classics Grimlock out of the park. But they used this transformation in the 80s. And for animated Grimlock.
Just sayin...

Oh, and if Blaster turns into a vehicle with a little chair on top for someone to ride, why does he turn into a boom box once he finally makes it to Earth? lol...

thought that was funny...

All of the sudden I feel a targeting laser on my back...

God bless Matt Teiger and High Moon studios for making this Grimlock possible. Seeing this makes me laugh that Hasbro were going to retire the Dinobots. This is the best looking Grimlock since the G1 design (I'm including the Masterpiece under G1 design).

I don't understand what the problem is with using the design. If it works, it work. There's only so many ways you can transform a T-rex.

You mistake my intentions. I wasn't trying to bitch, I was just trying to point it out. And they had a pretty good transformation with the Classics mold IMHO, which was way different than the G1. Just sayin...

It's also how Grimlock transforms in game. High Moon kept the feel of Grimlock and his transformation in their new design and it works. Grimlock had one of the best designs of most of the G1 toys and seeing that they keep going back to it just proves it.

While it's true they changed it for classics, we got a weak looking Grimlock without any hips and he stands on his mouth. I never really cared for classics Grimlock.

Yeah...that's a spectacular Grimlock. I definitely gotta get my hands on one!

I just hope he doesn't suffer from massive amounts of Grey Plastic Syndrome. I like the heavy silver/gun metal used for the display Grimmy. I'm sure Takara will release him in that tone. Hasbro.......not a chance.

Make Snarl and Sludge next please.

I really like Blaster as well. If and when he EVER hits retail i'd scoop him up in a second. He'll look hilarious next to his giant G1 version. I bet he'll just make it past his knees.

Also.....if that's supposed to be Steeljaw (cringe) then that is a miserable attempt. Ya still can't beat G1 Steeljaw, or Ravage for that matter. Just sayin.

Hot dang! Finally, a version of the audio tank mold that I can justify! (I like Prime Soundwave and the GF Soundblaster I have fits with him so much better!

And Grimmy's nice too. I'll live with him and the Ani Dinobots if I must.

Don't forget that Energon Grimlock also had the same Transformation as well.

I'm a fan of Classics Grimlock, but FoC is dinosex incarnate.

The transformation does look like the original, but the head hides a little better, and the robot is bit more streamlined.

Also: Ratchet jointed legs! Woop woop!
Would love to see him scaled with any of the deluxes (either WfC or FoC).

What was the brilliant decision to release him well AFTER the game comes out (next month)? Everyone had Grimlock fever way before the reveal, we knew it was coming anyway, it would sell like hotcakes. It still will sell well but kids lose interest quickly. I never did get why they release the stuff after popularity wanes to almost nil. Eh, I'll still buy a couple and it's probably the best yet after MP Grimmy.

This is sooo full of WIN!!!

I am now sold on this mold in the Blaster deco. It just seems to work a whole lot better! Bought on sight!

Aaaah our old friend Grimlock... #WINNING as a once great man once tweeted! ;)
His proportions are spot on with the CG reders we have seen. I love the way the Dino head is nicely tucked in to his back.
He just looks solid, as a big 'koff Dinosaur should be!!!

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this new Grimlock Figure...I simply have to,no...MUST get him.

I wanna see how tall he towers over FoC Optimus,FoC Shockwave, and how big he is compared to Bruticus and Soundblaster. Then I will be the happiest of FoC fans.
