But don't you need a torch to go with a pitchfork? I've only got two hands, and I don't think trying to hold a torch in my mouth would end well.

ugh. :BANG_HEAD:

Okay, how about this. Pitch fork umbrellas. Umbrella on the top, pitch fork on the bottom. Once you need to use the pitch fork you can put the umbrella down and turn it around.

I don't care that you're going to get wet, you need to be dedicated to the cause of getting a plastic toy made!

guys guys, we can split the duties. half of us bring pitchforks and the other half bring torches. those will have a free hand for the umbrella which will ensure the flame

Man, I was just gonna post that same bottom line to the word, then I read your post. I love this set. only thing I'd change if I could would be gold paint on slag's face and snarl's front legs. Also for someone to release a set of g1 heads for these (and/or a set to mod swoop to one head and tail)

By the way, I see a lot of people saying Slog (Sludge)should be included but cant it simply be that he is the one dinobot who already has the G1 color theme? Not saying it's G1 accurate but judging how none of them are, I am pretty sure that the Slog coming with this set would have looked the same as the Slog we are already going to get.

I think it has more to do with release dates. Snarl would be released relatively close to SDCC if not shortly after, while Slog would have taken a little bit longer as Voyagers move slower through waves.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Actuall, if they put a Slog in this set, they probably would have felt compelled to make some changes to him just so he'd be different from the retail version, but I agree that the mass-release Slog is close enough to fit in with these guys as-is.

On another topic, one thing I'm disappointed about is that Hasbro doesn't seem to be doing a smaller Exclusive this year. It'd be nice to have something small and affordable, like the "Rust in Peace" Cliffjumper from a couple years ago.

Gentlemen, there's a simpler solution:

Image

Flambeaus fitted with pitchfork blades.

Having marched alongside these during Mardi Gras, I can assure you that they stay lit in rain.

How about flame throwers with pitch forks mounted to the ends and umbrellas mounted to the tanks of the flame throwers?

Don't forget a properly made torch won't go out in rain. The oil or gas will keep it lit.

Had this been mass retail I would have bought it for my boy, who has no interest with the mass retail versions that are coming out . Not for sure I should thank or curse hasbro !

At least I save money as I won't be buying the mass retail versions nor this one due to its price tag

Wish they would sell the box , my boy would love to play with that. I remember the old g1 cardboard base and stars lab thing. Loved playing with those as a kid

Anybody getting the ark set for just the dinobots? I'll gladly pay for the whole set so someone can reserve me just the ark play-set. i have the S.T.A.R.S. play set and absolutely love it. I've thought about taking it to Kinko's and making reproductions of it for the fandom.I actually found mine mint in a Dumpster with many other G1 figures. if anyone gets this Ark play-set and would consider making a reproduction of it PM me.I purchased a Reproduction Captain action Headquarters that was reproduced this way and ;looks amazing. likewise, if anyone would like me to make a reproduction of the S.T.A.R.S. play-set let me know. its a cool set for sure and displays great. I would like to find a complete Ark play set from the original G1 line. Seams like good play-sets are a thing of the past, especially cardboard ones. I feel my personal display is lacking a very important aspect if i don't acquire a PLay-set as a backdrop for my figures. I like the look of the dinobots in the G1 scheme, but bayformers hold no place on my shelf.

Hate to whine, but isn't it strange that they couldn't decide on a shade of gold for the yellow/gold areas? Grimlock has clear yellow-gold sections, Slag/Slug has solid gold-yellow sections and Snarl has metallic chrome-gold, while Swoop/Strafe appears to have none...

Very cool of you to offer. I have two of those star labs from my younger days that are still standing lol how much would it cost for you to print a new one up ?

All right, that's twice now you've gotten on folks that have had a negative opinion/comments in this thread. This is a public forum and they have a right to voice their opinion, positive OR negative! Do it a third time and I'm making you MY new hobby! :-x

And for the record... I think this set sucks and I wouldn't take it if they were giving the damn thing away! But you know what, THAT'S JUST MY OPINION and I'm entitled to it and there isn't a Mod on this site that won't back me up on that!!

i don't like the bayformers either,1984forever, but a lot of people do. the franchise has to take new directions to appeal to a new groups of people, remember it is a business. they colored the dinobots like this to appeal to fans of both the movies and the original series, and maybe give people like you(and myself for the most part) a chance to broaden our horizons to these new figures. i have about 400 bots and not a single one is a movie figure, and there are people who collect almost entirely movie figures. yes it is a money grubbing ploy, but the idea IS to sell toys, that people will buy. Im hoping you can at least agree that the ark play-set is awesome(if not a little bit to late...) i am curious though, what different kinds of transformers series do you collect?
