So it's not just the fact that my computer is running Vista....

This happens to me as well.

Definitely not just Vista... I'm still on Windows 98 at home, and my work computer runs Windows XP, so... yes. It's something odd with this site. The only other sites I sometimes have similar problems with are very image-heavy galleries and the like; I can't think of any other forums off-hand.

So what kind of setup are you guys running for your computers? I'm only slow on the site when the server is having troubles and it takes about 5 minutes. Regular days though I've got the pages up in less than a second.

You mean in terms of hardware? At home I've got 512MB of RAM, a 700MHz Duron processor, GeForce 2 MX 400 video card, 3360 KBits/Sec DSL connection. Seeing as how I'm running Windows 98 and don't have resource hogs running in the background, that really should be more than enough to display a website without issues. (And as I said, this is one of the very few sites I have any problems with.)

I have no idea what my work computer is off-hand, but I know it's at least not an old clunker.

Well I should note that processor speed does have an impact on internet browsing. It seems especially with websites containing flash like the banners on here. Moms computer for instance, loads this site incredibly slow and it is running on a 933mhz Intel. Mine however is running on a 2.4ghz quad and it destroys average load times.

I keep flash and plugins turned off unless I need them, so I know that at least isn't the problem.

...eesh. I mean... it's a website. Unless the website is running some whizbang multimedia extravaganza web spectacle or something, you really should not need a 2.4GHz processor just to get a good load time on it. Especially not for forums.

I could understand if I was running something old like a P2 or what have you, but... come on.

Pages are breaking bad enough from large images that the 'Page Jump' links at the bottom right are displaced so far away they are not longer usable.

The Cartoon data can't be accessed. Every time Iwant to view an eps summary, this comes up in a completely white page:

my account is still active but it has no tf's or money. not even 0 it says when i try to create a tf to create you need 500 you have (blank) .yes blank its got me baffled. has any1 got the same problem as i or had a similar prob? ive tried contacting but no reply, i like my account and would love 2 keep it.

I cannot get ANYONE to tell me WHY when I post pics of my collection, they are ALL half cut off! Then I CAN'T get anyone to tell how one can resize them to fit within you threads. There are other sites out there that automatically allow you to click on them to bring up the entire pic! What is wrong with your site? Why can't you allow us to adjust them? Please SOMEBODY explain it to me!! Thank you!

Not sure if this is an issue or not but there are many times I send a PM and it sits in my outbox for hours. I actually have one in my outbox since last night and it still is there.

I am way off or if the PM is in the outbox it has not been sent correct?

I just tried doing a search for "X-Files", "Terminator" and "Sarah Connor" (individually, not all together) and got no results.

And I KNOW there's a couple of X-Files threads out there. Is the search function broken again or is it just my computer?

Seems to be the search function. It's like it's only searching within the last 10-20 days and not forever like it should.

I think the forums had a bit of a hiccup. Noticing some posts in threads disappeared, and some went poof altogether.

I think shifting the ID columns over is making the board go all screwy. It looks nicer, though.

Everything is scrunched over to the left now making the view all distorted, seems like it's a little slower loading when it's set up that way too.

I'm on Firefox using windows XP if that info helps any ?
