I already had a fairly substantial action figure collection and after seeing a trailer about 6 months ago I got excited and started adding transformers to the ranks.
Now the movie figures are showing up and I must say I am thrilled. The visual aesthetic and articulation are awesome. The automorph gimmick is cool and I'd like to see more of it. I'm very impressed. My opinion might not matter as much to the veteran tf fan...
but I definately think these new toys are an upgrade. I doubt these designs will replace the old ones but I would be fine if it did. I'd like the movie to be the new concept of transformers...
like ultimate x-men is to the original x-men storyline.
Nor does when they entered into the fandom, presumably. I was born in '90, is my opininion any less valid?Chris™ wrote:lester_ninja wrote:I missed the the transformers kick in the eighties as I was born in '86. I did have a few toys but I did not become a major fan until I heard about this film.

Your opinion is just as valid as someone who has been collecting since the beginning. The size of a collection doesn't make one great more of a fan than another

You must really hate Beast Wars then.

plus the fact that most of the movie toys i seen so far look like Mcdonald's toys
