Like the style you're going for here, and I love being able to see your improvement from picture to picture.

Keep going kid, you're doing great :-)

Thanks so much! One of my biggest dreams is to do drawing animations. I have been practicing so hopefully I can do some soon! ^///^

Madeus Prime concept

Welcome once again fellow Seibertronians! This time I am posting a bit of a project I was working on for Madeus Prime (unrequested), which is a concept sheet for Madeus Prime himself! :D I thought it'd be fun to post this one. :-P I also apologize for the watermark. I put it on there to prevent art stealing, since it's a concept, so it's kinda hard to put my signature in a spot that would prevent it from being stolen. :(

Anyhow, I hope you guys enjoy nonetheless! :D

Be sure to check out Madeus Prime's photocomic! :D

Peace! :PEACE:

Looking good, I also recommend looking at some of the transforming gundams that are out there for further ideas on what to do with shapes that don't lend themselves to an alt mode.

As it is, the alt mode reminds me a lot of Zeta Gundam in ship mode, so really good :)

Thanks! I actually have never seen Zeta Gundam's ship mode, since I have never watched any of the Gundam shows. :-P I know hardly anything about Gundam Gumpla.

Looking good - you've got a strong range of styles, especially considering how Gimp can be a tough beast to tame. Quite fond of your Brainstorm portrait!

Haha thanks Rev! Are you talking about my old Brainstorm portrait, or my newer one with the mask removed?

Also, @Board Admins: I noticed that my Madeus drawing did not make it in the latest round-up. Was that intentional, or did I just get forgotten? :(

Whoops! Both are good, but the mask-off one was the one that spoke to me the most - the style almost seemed halfway between some of MTMTE's more expressive styles and Animated, which works pretty damn well for conveying emotion! (While maintaining more mechanical consistency.)

Thanks! Yeah the masked Brainstorm picture is really old, and at the time I was still not very good at using Gimp. XD

I have an Animated Shockwave picture in the same style as the newer Brainstorm one I'll post in a bit. :D It's my first time doing an Animated character in that style with shading.

Good evening Seibertronians! It's time for me to finally post another piece of artwork.

So today, I have something pretty special. This is my first time using the line tool to do a Transformers Animated character portrait! This time, I have Transformers Animated Decepticon Shockwave! :D

I hope it doesn't look too messy. X'D

Stay inspired!

Very, very nice ;)^ I love how you've used the shadows to help shock waves character come through. This is one of your best yet.

That's a good pic of soundwave, the proportions look great. I look forward to coloured pics.

Very nice ;)^ love the atmosphere you've created. Only nitpick I could say is that you could of given sw an edge highlight so he stood out from the backdrop but I really do like this picture. Good work :-)

Now that you mentioned it, I kinda was thinking of doing something with the edges. I think I could make it look better not just with that either, but I also think I could add some better lighting effects. Thanks for the inspiration! ;)^

I added a border and some coloring effects as ZeroWolf suggested, and I think it looks pretty good!

Fantastic ;)^ I quite like the changes you've made :-)

I recommend playing around with light sources in general (like light from below, full on spot light etc), you can create unique visuals from it and it gives you opportunity to show off reflective surfaces. Keep up the good work silly ;)^
