Silverbolt: A Seeker?

In ROTF it was said that there were other Seekers out there on earth other than Jetfire. It leads me to believe that the Space Shuttle Discovery we've all been hearing about is infact the Aerialbot leader in stasis. Maybe the Autobots learn of him from Sentinel, whose an old friend and war buddy of his. :-?

could be. Has anyone seen anything on Silverbolt? I haven't seen anything. I'm starting to wonder if it was part of his mis-leading campaing? I would have thought Megatron and Shockwave would have been kept a better secret than Silverbolt?

It sounds like Silverblt is an important character to the plot of the film that will most likely be kept under raps until the movie debuts. :-?

My opinion, Silverbolt = space shuttle; maybe he'll have a re-entry scene from orbit and kick some serious 'Con asses! Definitely another Seeker!

im curious to see how silverbot could be a shuttle.

Using logic it would be very difficult to happen, unless NASA were complicit.

Im sure he couldnt just render it as his earth bound form. Surely NASA would know how many shuttles they have

And he couldnt really replace an existing one, as Im sure NASA have them under tight security.

And as for the shuttle being a cybertonian original design, well its far to earth bound like for that to ring true.

Im sure if he is a shuttle and i doubt he will be, that these concerns will not be addressed

One theory I saw somewhere around Seibertron is that Silverbolt might be Bays code name for Sentinel Prime.
Another is that he might be Primes' trailer (which looks debunked round about now).
Of course, he may be a totally CGI Altmode piece, like Shockwave, so he's been invisible to us so far on filming footage..

Unless Bay is keepin' secrets....

DAMN YOU BAY!!!!!

Silverbolt being a space-shuttle would be a nice call-back to The Key to Vector Sigma.

*Sorry for the double-post......can someone delete this? I just had zero luck searching for a way to delete my post...the FAQ implies I can do it until someone replies, but I got nothing regarding how to do this...the option doesn't seem to appear under EDIT POST as the FAQ suggested. I assume this is operator error on my part.*

Yeah, but wouldn't it be an unjust choice for his one and only ever Hollywood outfit?

PS: I replied to your first in the assumption that it will still let you delete the second when you find the trigger- I don't know how either-sorry.

I didn't necessarily word this correctly; I was more trying to "make the best of it". :)

My hope is that Silverbolt is closer to his G1 incarnation. I am not a huge fan of him being the shuttle....I don't want him to be that large.

Hmmm. I didn't think of that...but his G1 size would be even bigger, I suspect.
I'd like to see him as a bigger, sleeker Cybertronian Space superiority fighter (with room for smaller but beefier Aerialbots in any future movie, see?).
I initially imagined something halfway between Amidalas J-type Nubian and Classics Air raid (the Digi-Cam colored one, if you remember),but long & thin to make a Silver 'bolt' in look. For now I'll be happy if he makes it into the fillm as Primes' trailer.

I see "shuttle" and think Armada Jetfire: unfortunately too clunky& ridiculous for my own preconditioning after the massive Armored Veritech G1 Jetfire I was once so priveleged to own & drool over.Even tho I know any Banzaiformer shuttlebot wouldn't be clunky but waspy.

I never thought of it, but you are correct. Silverbolt's G1 alt mode would be huge...I guess I am just used to him being represented disproportionately.

While there is logic in what your saying, this was somewhat addressed in ROTF. When Simons was in the basment, he shows pictures of other seekers that the goverment were aware of. So at some point the Goverment was aware of them being on our planet in "disgise".
Now considering the suppose plot of DOTM is the space race, its possible that if Silverbolt is this Space shuttle (and thats a big if since all this is just speculation at this point) that the goverment is well aware of him. heck, they could have even provided the shuttle for him to scan in return for his knowledge.

Though to be honest, even if there was no explanation as to why he is a shuttle, i really don't see it impacting the story.

for someone who claims that they get sick of the flaming and arguments thats a pretty inflamatory post there.

If i was petty or small minded i would report it as being offensive and confrontational, but im not.

So lets just leave it here as evidence of your hypocrisy next tim you get on the high horse about people being disrespectful to bay movers

Seriously, what kind of response did you expect? Most of the few post you have are negative towards Bay or the movies in general. In this particular case you had a couple points and i thought we could have a decent dissicsion other than your typical bay hate responses. But all your could respond to my counter debate was..

i dont see any explanation being provided its bay

Your response was just more worthless than mine. This just tells me that even if an explanation is provided, your just going to write it off anyhow.
So your atempt to flame me about being hypocritical is totaly moot since your oringal response proved my point.

I disagree.

G1 Silverbolts [pre aerilbot] cybertron mode was a low flying transport shuttle....not a space shuttle.
