The Wizard Entertainment Group sat down with Simon Furman and talked about the prequel comics based on the upcoming Michael Bay Transformers Movie. In the interview, Furman talks about the comic in detail. Including where the comic book is heading storywise and how it will relate to the movie itself.
"Certain events, only referred to in the movie or seen briefly, form the backbone of the prequel. We look in, first, on the war on Cybertron, in particular a key battle which sets in motion the core events of the movie. Then, we follow two of the main characters to Earth, seeing in detail what happens to them in the lead-up to the movie, taking in over 100 years of Earth history—and the formation/development of the ultra-clandestine government agency known as Sector 7—and a key battle set some three years before the movie itself unfolds. A lot, but not all, of the prequel is seen from the POV of Bumblebee, and very much charts his personal odyssey"
"By issue #2, we’re there, and by issue #3 the Earthbound action is really kicking into high gear. You know that little sequence in the teaser trailer, on Mars, that’s in there too, and we get to see what we didn’t in the trailer".
