Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere yet, but the latest trailer shows Optimus smacking around a hapless victim; this time Megatron who is clearly missing an arm.

I know there was some speculation regarding this character's role in the film, so would this brief clip somewhat confirm a retread of the arcs we've seen in the previous movies?

After watching that, it seems that my suspicion's also correct regarding Optimus being controlled by who seems to have him imprisoned, and not acting on his own once his optics change color. Like Hulk was controlled in Age of Ultron.

Well, it's Michael bay Movie so it's very possible. On the other hand This isn't the first time we can see Megatron/Galvatron with badly damaged/missing arm in trailer, in AOE it appears that his fusion canon was sliced by Prime, however there wasn't anything like this is the movie. Also, one kick is not enough to consider Megatron "hapless" after all, previous trailers showed that he will be close to killing Prime.

As more and more scenes of a movie are relased, new scenes and quotes brings more questions,Megatron:We were brothers once... I wonder is this really said to Optimus?

The Last Knight has finally been shown to the public. It premiered in China yesterday.

Below you will find the thoughts of Wong76 who says he assisted the premiere and posted his impression on the TFW2005 boards. You are free to take anything with a grain of salt.

At this point, anything can be considered a spoiler, so I advise anyone who does not want to be spoiled of anything specific to read no further. And for those who are ok with massive spoilers, while there aren't any in this article, there will be more in the comments, so check those out if you wish.

Now onto the thoughts:
- As of right now I feel it's the best [of the Transformers films]. Lots of robot screen time. I liked most of the characters. You could definitely tell this movie had new writers. From the story and dialogue.

- I'd say a solid 8/10. Pros: Autobots interaction. Deceptions we're amazing in this each one had a bit of dialogue. And I thought the surprise in this movie was handled well. Cons: this movie was really overstuffed with so many plots at the same time. The final battle did drag a little bit too.

- Roadbuster, topspin, Brains and Wheelie [are in the film].

- There are alot of holy s@@t moments I felt I was on the edge of my seat

- Megatron was the best in this then he has been in the previous movies

- Dragonstorm is also amazing, a new favorite; 3 knights combine to form him

- Bee does talk and sounds exactly like he does from the first movie but less staticky. One line he says is " feels good to say something exactly the way you wanna say it"

- Dinobots are amazing and are funny even the mini dinobots. They are captured by trf but are released during the final battle. Whellie and brains ride on 2 of the mini dinobots into battle I thought that was the funniest part

- Tyrese is nowhere to be seen in the movie

- Favourite characters: As for robots I'd have to go with hot rod really like his accent and personality. As for humans I'd say Jerrod charmicals character really funny didn't find him annoying

- Torches is the main theme

- Almost all of them are seen transforming even sqwueeks. You finally do see hound drift and crosshairs transform

- The junk truck is wreck gar

- Megatron mentions to cade how he realized how much he hated that human created ego, Galvatron.

- It definitely does feel like a final chapter

More supposed spoilers from Wong 76:

I'm dieing just to say it so I'm going to reveal the twist but Unicron is in the movie. The reason why the transformers keep coming back to earth is that earth and Cybertron used to be one planet created by primus and then gave it the name Unicron but then came to life and turned on him primus used his energy to destroy Unicron killing them both separating Unicron into 2 planets then the creators (quintessans led by quintessa) found one half of Unicron Calling it Cybertron then creating the all spark out of other planet metals. Then wanted to use them as slaves. but then the earliest knights of Cybertrons defeated them in a space battle thinking they destroyed the quintessans. But it damaged their ship causing them to crash on earth during medival times. And how they defeted them was by the spear scene in the trailers called the speir of the knights. But then the quintessans find a way back to our Galaxy and find out Optimus is on earth. Optimus dies before he finds the creators. Then the creators find him drifting in space. They bring him back to life with dark energon wich makes him easily curruptable. The reason why they need Optimus is because only a chosen knight could activate Unicron. The earth is the head of Unicron while Cybertron forms into the body. That's what those horns are and that platform rising from the water is an activation to awaken him.

Cade is to protect the chosen knight. He ends up sacrafising himself to save Optimus from a fellow knight who are there to stop optimus

He is brought back to life by the sphere which only Vivian can activate because is a decendent of the knights of the round table

Quintessa and the rest of the quintessans are barricated inside Cybertron die when the military nukes it. Prime does depply apologize and mourn to everybody in the ending questioning if he is a true leader

Primus and unicron look pretty similar to the source material except for a few differences and our massively huge.

What was the best action/battle scene to you?
Definitely the final battle over in England if felt like and epic war. First it's Optimus vs Megatron vs hound and hot rod. Then prime vs bumblebee. Then prime vs knights. Then prime vs infernicous after he turns good. Then he rides dragenstorm to defeat Unicron

Will Wong admitted he was lying.

Edit: Yeah he says he was just trolling to mess with us he did write that twist well though since I believed it even though I usually wouldn't!

Doesnt matter, its s spoiler thread now and people can discuss what they wish. I doubt he made everything up, some of it sure, but not all, some is weirdly specific.

Plus, we've had people admit they were lying because they were scared of breaking embargos.

I already wrote in the article for people to take this with a grain of salt, I just wantedto put it out there. At this point, we know nothing.

All I'm saying is that he admitted he was lying like he was gloating about it too he had nor problem spilling the guts of the movie before hand and he said they won't find out who he is so I doubt he is scared.

Never said to delete the thread or anything.

Just because something sounds "specific" doesn't mean it's true I could of came up with the Unicron stuff.

Just to be safe I'd put an indicator on the article on the main page that he now claims he was lying about it. The only way I found out he was lying was by reading the comments here. Could unintentionally misinform more than anything and that is problematic/bad journalistic approach. Back when I was running a fan site, we had to do this with alleged leaks that were admitted to being made up as we don't know for sure one way or another to verify the claim and honestly. One good indicator was if we got a take down notice, but sometimes when the studio sends one of those it is a good way of tipping their hand so sometimes you don't get that and you're just left to assume.

It's a different way of handling "take this with salt" altogether because the leaker admitted they were lying about it or so they claim. So yeah, we don't know what to believe here, and it's good for it to be out there. I just think you need to edit the main article and say the guy lied though and you're unable to verify right now. If this is true though then this could probably be one of the better films in the Bayformers series by leaps and bounds.

I love this entire "was he lying, since he admitted that he was lying?" debate.

Plus, we've had people admit they were lying because they were scared of breaking embargos.
I don't think it works this way, if he decided to reaveal real rumors and they will find a way to get him, I doubt this declaration could save him.

Right now, all this is 100% unconfirmed, everything he "revealed" could be made up from what we saw in trailers alone.

Sounds good, I added this:

EDIT: The writer has since come out to say that he ws lieing for the hell of it. Of course, nothing culd have been validated before, and tha remains the case, and we do not know if this was said to avoid getting in trouble or not. However we wanted to give you the full story.

It would be hard to belive that they would confirmed unauthorized spoilers. Even if this spoilers are true, no way they would even consider this option :D

and we do not know if this was said to avoid getting in trouble or not.
How exactly declaring "real" rumors "fake" should help him?

Not saying he couldn't telling the truth, just this entire "I will spoil everything, but I will later declare that I was lying to avoid troubles" sounds illogical. This guy is either lied since the beggining and everything is made-up for fun, or he spoilered everything and have problems anyway.

Its all good man, we appreciate all the help me can get :) We do want to provide fans with as much info as possible, as soon as possible, but we also want to be decent journalists.

Cheers!

The first bits sound like they could be true, that entire stupid plot sounds just like bayformers. But the red flag is when he said unicron & primus look like the source material, this is bayformers they never please the fans so why would they start now and only with 2 characters?

Agreed. That whole Unicron plot sounds bonkers. What rang true for me was the pointless roadbuster and topspin stuff. Also Dragonstorm being 3 knights made sense to me. Looking forward ot see which of these are the best educated guesses

I just hope Megatron is actually portrayed positively in this case instead of a second fiddle or a tertiary threat/non-threat.

So some guy posted ah... less then enthusiastic review it's not super spoilery like the ending or deaths or anything like that but their are a few things mentioned https://letterboxd.com/cineant/film/transformers-the-last-knight/

At first I thought the guy was kinda lying just like the others but then I did some research and there was this which somebody pointed out on another site.

Image

Look at who that bot looks like and the description on the picture frame...

We should take this with a grain of salt still but it could be legit.

It's a very negative 'review', but that line about a half-hour sequence that's basically Suicide Squad with Decepticons sounds ridiculously awesome to me.

If it's true, I'm actually more optimistic about the movie.

This part about Leonardo Da Vinci is disturbing. If it's true, this may ruin entire movie. On the other hand I agree with Cheesinator, epsecially if it means That some Decepticons will survive this time

Lets leave them up until the film gets its major release in all markets.

After that, it's a free-for-all.
