Some of you might know of my Classics Soundwave figure that I made to fit in with my Classics Decepticons army (if not, don't worry, I'll make a thread about him soon, but in the meantime, you can see him in
"Transformers: All Fall Down," a film I made for college this year.
Just click here!). Classics Soundwave (built from Titanium Soundwave and Classics Ramjet) has his Classics Laserbeak (Booster x10), but no Classics Ravage!
For a while, I displayed my Robot Heroes Ravage with my Classics Soundwave and Laserbeak, but it didn't feel right. I even intended to mod my RH Ravage to give him front leg articulation to TRY to make him Classics Ravage, but luckily for me, Homer Jay helped me reconsider (thanks Homer - you saved me from making a mess of a good figure!).
I wanted a Classics Ravage. So I thought, hell, I'll make my OWN Ravage! With BLACKJACK! And HOOKERS!
I bought the Stikfas Beta Female Safari with Jungle Cat. You guys know how much I love Stikfas. The Stikfas Jungle Cat is an effing Stikfas tiger. All the ball-jointed articulation I've come to love in a cool, cat-shaped package! (For pictures of this Stikfas kit,
I got a second RH Ravage, cut him up, built my Stikfas cat, and cut off his head. Here's what the cat (sans head) looked like:
I then used sticky tack to make a mock-up of what the cat would look like as Ravage:
I brought the cat down to my workstation, took him apart and started painting!:
After about 2 days of painting, he was finished (just had to paint him black and add silver details). I had to glue on Ravage's head and hip weapons. Here he is, complete!:
Sorry his head is out of focus, I had really low depth of field:
RAWR!!:
And here is Classics Soundwave with his loyal minions, Classics Laserbeak and Classics Ravage:
Sorry about the crappy photos, the lighting wasn't great and the glue was still drying. I'll take some more shots for you, so if you guys have any requests for poses ("Have him attack Mirage like he did in issue #4 of the Marvel G1 comic!"), let me know.
I know, he's not Classics Ravage and he doesn't transform, but to me, this little Stikfas cat IS Ravage, at least until a proper Classics Ravage gets produced by Hasbro.
Hope you like my work, and DECEPTICONS FOREVER!!
