I was able to find one lonely Wreck-Gar sitting on the shelf today in Branson, MO. Crazy thing, I have not bought anything from this particular line but something about him I thought was cool. Definitely glad i bought him.

A little surprise today, Amazon is going to have Wreck-gar to me in two days...
Seems kind of weird that Slag won't be with him (he was part of the same original order, and he's showing up Tuesday), but I'm not complaining;
Amazon hasn't let me down yet.

I'm still holding out hope that it's way earlier than February when my 2 Sweeps get shipped.

Another thought I've had is that it's going to be a bummer if PulseCon doesn't give us at least an early peek/look at the next SS86 Dinobot.

My version of that surprise is my Sharkticons shipping from Entertainment Earth.

Considering that, according to those SS wave breakdowns for next year we got a few weeks back, the next Dinobot in question isn't due out until the same time as this year's Slag & Grindor wave, I'd expect to be bummed.

Based on what's been revealed it seems like Sludge rather than Swoop.

I found a pair of SS86 Sharkticons at Target earlier today! Just need to find one more. I like to have three of a kind for army building purposes. I've found a LOT of Bumblebee Thrusts in the past week, but no sign of Wreck-Gar. Luckily, I was able to order him online a few weeks ago, but dang, he gets snatched up FAST. Also, I just got an email from Amazon letting me know that I should have Slag at last tomorrow! This is shaping up to be a good birthday weekend for me. Now, if only I could be so lucky as to find Kingdom Tigatron, Waspinator, and Shadow Panther...

I have found Wreck-gar on 3 separate occasions and in hand he doesn't look very good. He seems kinda cheap and simple to me. Definitely not a $30 figure. I'm glad he was an easy pass, as I never liked his character from the movie either. I do want him represented on my movie shelf, so I might track down a PotP figure instead.

SS86 Wreck Gar is actually very good. Plenty worth the voyager price. As for the POTF one, it's just Groove with a different head. If you don't want the SS86 but still want a good Wreck Garr, go for the old Generations deluxe. He actually look like himself and the bike mode (while not "movie accurate") is pretty nice.

I got a taste of the mold with Gen Junkheap and he go so well with SS86 Wreck Garr!

We look at figures through very different lenses. Wreck-Gar is pretty boss if you ask me. I have two of em.

I think he's pretty boss too. I especially like how solid he feels and how they pull off the illusion of the front if the bike becoming his head.

That's probably my favorite part of the transformation. They did a great job with that. My only complaint is that they didn't design the plastic tray to prevent the soft plastic spikes from warping while in the box.

Man, first Target cancelled my Gnaw after claiming I didn't respond to a delay (I never missed one), then they cancelled my Wreck-gar due to "unforeseen circumstances" or whatever, and now I'm getting delay notices for Slag so I guess I can expect them to cancel him in a month or so, too. :BANG_HEAD:

Wreck-Gar never did anything for me so it was an easy pass. I'm more stoked about getting that new Perceptor! And looking forward to seeing what the new Blaster looks like. After those two I think I'm pretty much done unless they make a new Hound, Bltizwing and Astrotrain, or reissue Dirge and Ramjet.

For Blaster, just look at Netflix Soundwave with a new head and red. Blitzwing is rumored to be coming next year in the leader class for the legacy line (not SS86). I would be very surprised to see a new Astrotrain so soon after the ER one.

Wreck-Gar is a fantastic figure, probably my favorite in the SS86 line. The transformation is simple but elegant, which I much prefer to complex and unintuitive. It honors the original transformation, including keeping the head and cockpit positioning, while still having an incredible cartoon likeness. It's fine if he's not for you, but he's a great figure for what he does.

I just popped open Slag and I love him, though I do have a couple complaints. On the plus side, I think they made a great change with how his robot legs integrate into his body unlike in the original toy transformation, and I think the compression in his arms and chest to fill the space left from his dinosaur jaw is genius. On the other hand, in addition to the minor complaint others have made about his horns, I'm having an awful time with his tail. The way it's designed to lock when extended, or maybe not lock, means I'm popping the part loose whenever I try to transform it.

That same thing happened to me with Kingdom Tracks... There's no way I missed a confirmation email... Total BS.
The latest with Target is Road Rage was supposed to show up tomorrow. Then I get notified it's going to show up today... A couple hours ago, I get notification that now delivery is happening Monday.
Being a Redcard exclusive gives me way more hope that this won't get completely botched.

Amazon hasn't let me down yet. Not to mention, most of the time they've had the lowest prices...
Slag was $49.99; Sweep was $29.99... It was only Gnaw that was upped to $22.99. Which kinda sucks since I'm getting 3, but still, considering I haven't been seeing anything in store for a while, I'm okay with that.

Also, I don't care which Dinobot is next... Proof of the next one would be nice, and I'm still hoping it's released in the first half of 2022.

Anyway, I opened my SS86 Slag earlier today. He's really great, honestly. He looks fantastic in both modes, he's big, he's hefty, he's solid, he's very screen accurate, and he's worth the full Leader Class price point, just like SS86 Grimlock. The extra little figures of Daniel and Wheelie are just that, extras. They could have been excluded and I would never have thought the value of Grimlock or Slag any less at the same price.

There's no way Hasbro would get away with a simple redeco of Netflix Soundwave with a head swap. Those days are over. They know we expect G1 authenticity now. Kingdom/Legacy Blaster may turn out to be an extensive retool of Soundwave, or based on some of the core engineering, but you better believe Blaster will look the part in both modes. Personally, I'm betting Blaster gets his own unique mold. We already pretty much know it will be repainted as Shattered Glass Blaster for next year, so there's a reuse of the mold already.

Not to mention a possible Selects Twincast or something. I'm sure Blaster will be Blaster.

My partner took me around town to check several Walmarts and Targets for new Transformers stuff for my birthday today. I got the third SS86 Sharkticon/Gnaw figure I wanted, Beast Wars Vintage Rattrap and Cheetor, as well as the new SS RotF Sideswipe! That was a big surprise, as he's from the cutting edge Deluxe class wave of the Studio Series. However, there was still no sign of SS86 Wreck-Gar all day, among the six stores we checked. The only Studio Series voyagers on the shelves were Bumblebee Thrust and some shelf-warming Constructicons.

I was forced to cancel my Amazon order for Slag last week, right before he was due to ship out, and lo and behold I saw him at Wal-Mart tonight along with 2 Grindors. After having him in hand, I got the same impression as I did with Wreck-gar. Seems too simple and looks kinda cheap. So I'm a bit relieved I canceled on him. If I spot him for significantly cheaper than $50, I'll probably pick him up, but as it is, he's a pass as well. Should have been a voyager anyway.

But now I'm actually very interested in Grindor, he looks really good in hand.
